Image enhancement algorithm in digital storage and visual inheritance of intangible cultural heritage

This study explores the participation and pathways of vocational education in the cultivation of talent for intangible cultural heritage. As the protection of intangible cultural heritage receives increasing attention, vocational education, as an important talent training system, carries the mission of inheritance and innovation. The article first analyzes the current status of vocational education's involvement in the protection of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting issues such as resource shortages, insufficient curriculum design, and low student engagement. It then proposes pathways for exploration, including innovations in curriculum and teaching models, interdisciplinary course development, practical teaching design, school-enterprise cooperation, and social participation, offering feasible suggestions to enhance the role of vocational education in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. By establishing policy support and evaluation mechanisms, the aim is to promote vocational education's better service to the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage.

Intangible cultural heritage encompasses a nation’s traditional culture and wisdom, offering a profound reflection of the lives and thoughts of its predecessors. This heritage manifests in diverse forms, including artistic performances, music, handicrafts, and festivals. Despite its cultural significance, the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage face numerous challenges in modern society. These challenges are exacerbated by rapid urbanization, globalization, and the decline of traditional practices. Previous studies have predominantly explored these issues from cultural and historical perspectives, often overlooking the critical economic factors that influence heritage preservation. This article seeks to fill this gap by examining the difficulties and problems faced by intangible cultural heritage through a comprehensive lens that includes cultural, economic, and social aspects. By analyzing these multifaceted challenges, we aim to uncover the underlying economic dynamics that hinder effective heritage preservation. Moreover, this research will propose innovative solutions to address economic challenges and enhance the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. Ultimately, this article aims to provide new perspectives and positive impacts on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, highlighting the importance of an economic approach to its preservation and transmission to future generations.

The protection of intangible cultural heritage is of great importance, but traditional display methods are limited and difficult to attract young groups. The rapid development of meta-universe technology has great potential in the field of culture, which brings new opportunities for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. This paper focuses on the virtual display platform of intangible cultural heritage in meta-universe, which covers the platform design concept and architecture, related technology application, digitization and creation of intangible cultural heritage, functional module implementation and operation, and promotion strategy, etc. Through the use of various technological means, such as VR, AR, 3D modelling, blockchain, etc., and the construction of the platform through multi-source data collection, storytelling and narrative, the platform realizes the functions of virtual showroom browsing, interactive experience, social sharing and other functions. The platform helps to increase the popularity of intangible cultural heritage, promote heritage and innovation, expand the audience, provide innovative ideas and effective ways to protect intangible cultural heritage, and is of far-reaching significance in the field of cultural heritage.

This paper explores ways to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of Korean sports inherited by colleges and universities through digital technology and RBM neurons. The non-heritage information and images collected through the method of data collection and data storage are presented in 3D with the help of a neural network. The protection of intangible cultural heritage is achieved by using data restoration technology to trace the past and break the limitations of time and space. Using artificial intelligence technology, a database of intangible cultural heritage can be built, and different types of intangible cultural heritage can be divided using a neural network. The characteristics of Korean sports culture are summarized by analyzing intangible cultural items related to Korean sports. The results show that the feature extraction method incorporating RBM has the highest extraction rate of strong and healthy in sports, with an extraction rate of 0.8, the extraction rate of mighty features is 0.75, and the extraction rate of strength degree of sports is 0.75. The intangible culture of Korean sports is promoted and developed through this paper’s research to a certain extent.

This paper takes Lu-style Xinyi Quan as the research object, which is popular among Shanghai, and explores the artistic style, modeling design and three-dimensional model creation of character design based on the digital protection of intangible cultural heritage. Players can watch the action demonstration teaching of characters and imitate learning, while feeling the charm of the Quan, stretch their limbs and experience the fun of fitness and Chinese traditional martial arts indoors, thus promoting the digital protection of intangible cultural heritage.

This research paper introduces a novel approach in the realm of digital preservation and inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) through a Customized 3D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The core of this study lies in the development of an advanced image processing algorithm tailored to accurately recognize, categorize, and archive diverse forms of ICH, which include traditional performances, ceremonies, oral traditions, and crafts. Utilizing a volumetric 3D CNN, this paper demonstrates how complex ICH elements can be effectively captured and analyzed, overcoming the limitations of traditional 2D image processing methods. The network is trained on a comprehensive dataset of ICH imagery, ensuring sensitivity to the subtle nuances and dynamic nature of these cultural expressions. This paper highlights the algorithm’s capability in not only safeguarding the visual aspects of ICH but also in providing an interactive, digital medium for education and cultural dissemination. The proposed method shows significant promise in aiding the efforts of cultural preservationists and educators, offering a technologically advanced pathway for the protection and inheritance of the world’s rich, yet vulnerable, cultural heritage. This study sets a precedent in the interdisciplinary field of cultural heritage conservation, digital technology, and artificial intelligence, providing a scalable and effective solution for global ICH preservation initiatives.

The protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is not only the responsibility of the government and the cultural sector, but also based on the "living culture" level to unite the strength of the whole society to protect intangible cultural heritage in all aspects, and carry out effective inheritance and development. Vocational education is an important base for the inheritance and development of non-heritage, which can train excellent talents for non-heritage inheritance in a standardised, scientific and sustainable way. As the top layer of vocational education, higher vocational colleges and universities should give full play to their unique advantages in the process of cultural inheritance of non-heritage and cultivation of inheritance talents, and continuously expand the field of integration with the local non-heritage industry, so as to fundamentally solve the problem of shortage of talents for the inheritance of non-heritages and difficulty in cultivation. The article introduces the current situation of the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritance talents in higher vocational colleges and universities, analyses the existing problems, and puts forward the countermeasures for the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritance talents.

Protection and Inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage Based on Virtual Reality Technology—Taking Dongguan as an Example

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, it has brought transformative opportunities for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. This article takes Gannan Hakka traditional music as an example. In view of the current real dilemmas such as morphological solidification, intergenerational faults, and insufficient endogenous power under the community inheritance scenario, it explores the innovative path of non-heritage music empowered by AI technology to realize living inheritance at the community level. The study proposes that the intervention of AI can promote the inheritance form to a three-dimensional empowerment model composed of "digital preservation", "innovative expression" and "ecological construction". And in combination with specific community practice cases, analyze how AI technology can effectively activate the endogenous power of the community, attract residents to participate, and reintegrate non-heritage music into contemporary community cultural life, so as to realize real living inheritance.

As a folk celebration with profound historical and cultural background, Chaoshan meeting in p county of Linfen City, Shanxi province carries rich local cultural connotation. This paper explores innovative development and pathway innovation in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) through the utilization of modern internet education technologies. Taking Tujia brocade weaving as a case study, we establish a resource repository and develop virtual reality (VR) scenes to propose a conceptual framework where virtual reality technology serves the “vision” of intangible cultural heritage inheritance. This framework aims to construct a digital innovation “model” for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. The paper deliberates on the feasibility, effectiveness, and innovativeness of combining virtual interactive technology with intangible cultural heritage protection.

With the continuous development of science and technology, virtual reality (VR) technology has gradually become an important tool in intangible cultural heritage protection. This paper aims to design a virtual reality interactive interface to enhance the user experience of intangible cultural heritage protection. Firstly, the design objectives and requirements are determined by analyzing intangible cultural heritage's characteristics and protection needs. Then, an interactive interface design scheme is proposed based on the principle and application of virtual reality technology. The scheme includes user interface design, interaction design, and information display design. Finally, the effect of the design scheme is evaluated through user experiments, and the user experience is analyzed and summarized. The experimental results show that the designed virtual reality interactive interface can effectively improve the user experience of intangible cultural heritage protection, immerse users in the world of intangible cultural heritage, and enhance protection awareness and participation.

Low-light is a challenging environment for both human and computer vision to perform tasks such as object classification and detection. Recent works have shown potential in employing enhancements algorithms to support and improve such tasks in low-light, however there has not been any focused analysis to understand the direct effects that low-light enhancement have on an object detector. This work aims to quantify and visualize such effects on the multi-level abstractions involved in network-based object detection. First, low-light image enhancement algorithms are employed to enhance real low-light images, and then followed by deploying an object detection network on the low-light as well as the enhanced counterparts. A comparison of the activations in different layers, representing the detection features, are used to generate statistics in order to quantify the enhancements' contribution to detection. Finally, this framework was used to analyze several low-light image enhancement algorithms and identify their impact on the detection model and task. This framework can also be easily generalized to any convolutional neural network-based models for the analysis of different enhancements algorithms and tasks.
