Is Duolingo Media Effective? An Experimental Study on Increasing Student Interest in Arabic Learning

The Effectiveness of Online-Based Positive Reinforcement Group Guidance Services on Increasing Student Interest in Learning in the Covid-19 Era (Experimental Study at SMK Pelita Alam Bekasi). Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, As-syafiiyah Islamic University. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using online-based positive reinforcement techniques to increase student interest in learning during the Covid-19 era at SMK Pelita Alam Bekasi. The research method used in this research is quantitative with Quasi Experimental Designs research design, and the data analysis technique used is the Paired Sample T-test. This study has a population of 42 students. The determination of the sample in this study was carried out by using the type of non-probability sampling, with purposive sampling technique, so that the sample used in this study was 20 students with 10 members of the experimentl group and 10 members of the control class. Hypothesis test results show the Sig.2-tailed value of 0.022 <0.05 in the experimental class, and 0.034 <0.05 in the control class, which means that there is a difference in the average student interest in the pre-test and control classes. It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, this shows that online-based positive reinforcement group guidance services can increase student interest in learning in the Covid-19 era.

The research was conducted to find out whether there was an increase in student learning interest by using an interactive module and how much the increase was. The research subjects were students of class XI IPA Santo Kristoforus High School Jakarta with two treatments namely class XI IPA 1 as a control class using a student handbook totaling 33 students and class XI IPA 2 as an experimental class using interactive modules totaling 33 students. The total number of 66 students. Students and sampling techniques are done by purposive sampling (directly). Data collection techniques in this study used a Likert scale questionnaire with two group research design: pre nontest and postnontes. Data obtained from the results of the pre-test was processed in excel which then tested for normality and homogeneity using SPSs 22 for Windows. From the test results obtained the results for the normality test sig value = 0.200 sig 0.05, meaning that it can be normally distributed. Whereas for homogeneity test obtained sig 0,420 sig 0,05 which means the data is homogeneous. To find out how to improve student learning outcomes, calculate the score through the gain test. In the control class there was an increase in student learning interest of 6.5%, with the highest indicator of pleasure of 46.51% while in the experimental class there was an increase in student interest in learning by 12.92%, with the highest indicator of interest of 72.41%.

This study examines Increasing Interest in Learning through the Reciprocal Teaching Model in Class V Students of SD Inpres Antang 1 Kota Makassar. The main problems in the research are; How to increase interest in learning through the Reciprocal Teaching model in fifth grade students at SD Inpres Antang 1, Makassar Regency. The main objective of this research is to increase students' interest in learning and apply the Reciprocal Teaching model to increase learning interest in fifth grade students of SD Inpres Antang 1, Makassar Regency. This research uses classroom action research. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SD Inpres Antang 1 which consisted of 10 boys and 14 girls. The data collection procedure used observation, student learning interest questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the student's interest in learning in the first cycle with the percentage of classical student interest in learning was 58.3% and there was an increase in learning interest in the second cycle with the percentage of classical student interest in learning 83.3%, so there was an increase in student interest in learning from cycle I to cycle II.

As technology advances, learning media are needed to support classroom learning and increase student interest. This research, motivated by these challenges, focuses on utilizing YouTube as a learning medium to increase student interest in dance lessons. This study aims to determine the increase in student interest in learning by applying the snake and ladder game media. This type of research includes Classroom Action Research (PTK). Data collection techniques using observation techniques, questionnaires, tests, documentation, and field notes. The collected data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the snake and ladder game media can increase interest in learning and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the observation percentage of students 'interest in learning who reach the fairly active and very active categories, namely 51 percent in cycle I to 90 percent in cycle II and the percentage of students' interest in learning who reach the category of sufficiently interested and very interested, namely 60 percent in cycle I to 85 percent in cycle II. Learning outcomes also increased from the percentage of classical completeness, namely 54 percent in cycle I to 100 percent in cycle II.

One of the most important factors in learning is student interest, using learning media is one technique to encourage student participation and increase their interest towards learning materials. This research aims to test whether or not there are differences before and after the use of Kahoot! learning media on students' interest in learning. The research method used in this research is experimental quantitative method one group pre-test-post-test design. The data used in this study are primary data by distributing questionnaires that measure interest in learning before treatment (Kahoot!) and after treatment, then the result processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 20 version. The sample in this study used one class in class XI majoring in Office Management and Business Services (MPLB) at Public Vocational High Schools 48 Jakarta totaling 36 students. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant difference before and after the use of Kahoot! learning media on student interest in learning with a significance level of 5%. So it can be concluded in this study that the use of Kahoot! as a learning media is effective for increasing students' interest in learning.

This study aims to determine differences in increasing student interest in the learning process through integrated science learning based on Webbed Model. The basis of this research was the students low interest in the learning process as a result of the implementation in natural science learning that is not in accordance with the mandate of the 2013 curriculum. The research method was a quasi-experiment with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques were questionnaires for students interest in learning based on predetermined indicators. While data analysis techniques, which were in the form of descriptive analysis and statistical analysis, were using the Independent Sample T Test. The results showed that an increase in student interest in learning through integrated science-based Webbed Models by 2.9% with a very good category. Furthermore, based on statistical tests the fcount is 10.813 &gt; ftabel 0.40 and 0.315 was obtained with a significance value of 0.04. Thus, it can be concluded that there are some differences in student interest in learning through integrated Webbed Model-based science learning.

The Homeroom teacher is the person who has the first opportunity to improve the quality of learning regarding his role in fostering, guiding, and psychologically preaparing students, to be ready to participate in and carryout learning and learning activities in an effective and conducive claccroom atmosphere so that the quality of learning processes and outcomes can be achieved. The hope as a homeroom teacher in increasing student learning interest in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic is that the homeroom teacher can master technology to support online learning. The purpose of this study was to explain the role of the homeroom teacher in increasing student interest in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at Kanisius Elementary School Sidowayah 02 Klaten. This study uses a qualitative method. The respondents of this study were the homeroom teacher of SD Kanisius Sidowayah 02 Klaten. The number of respondents in this study was 12 people. From the results of this study, the homeroom teachers of SD Kanisius Sidowayah 02 Klaten understand their respective roles increase students interest in learning.

Increasing Student Interest With Inquiry Approach Lesson In Natural Sciences (IPA) Primary School. Students' interest in learning Natural Sciences (IPA) which is characterized by relatively low less attention and less active students during learning in the classroom. This study is intended as an effort to increase student interest in learning the science subjects. The study was conducted by the method of Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted an inquiry approach to fourth grade students in public elementary school Tanjung Sari No.18 Nanga Pinoh using instruments such as observation sheets. The data were tested for normality distribution of the observation of the data with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk and t-test for the significance of differences in the data each cycle. The results of the research that has been conducted in two cycles of learning for 22 students in action cycle I gained interest in learning with the percentage of 57.47%. Through the inquiry approach to learning that is done has improved the students' interest in learning science subjects with the results of the data obtained in the second cycle as much as 100% of students have been interested in the science lessons, characterized by high enthusiasm to learn and actively take part in the experiment are taught. Thus through the inquiry approach has been able to increase student interest, especially in natural science subjects and can improve the process. This study aims to determine the use of powerpoint-based spingame media for the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The urgency of the background of this research is the lack of student learning materials in creating appropriate, practical, and effective learning. The aspect observed in the development of this media is the use of powerpoint-based spingame media in science learning material energy sources to increase student interest in learning for class V SDN Asemrowo II Surabaya. This type of research uses the ADDIE model development method with the steps of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The research subjects were students of V-A SDN Asemrowo II Surabaya. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of tests, questionnaires, interviews. Data were obtained and analyzed from learning outcomes test sheets, questionnaire sheets, and interviews. The results showed that the development of powerpoint-based spingame media could increase students' interest in learning as evidenced by the percentage of material experts by 97.5%, media experts by 92.5%, student responses with a percentage of 91.62%, and the results of the interviews were categorized as very good. Furthermore, the post-test showed an increase in student interest in learning compared to the pre-test by 60%.

This research aims to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in science subjects. Using Quizizz media with a scientific approach. The method applied in this research is Classroom Action Research. With 30 students consisting of 15 male students and 15 female students. This research was carried out as an effort to overcome various problems experienced in the classroom. This method is implemented in four stages, namely planning implementation, and observing and reflecting on actions. These four stages are cycles that occur repeatedly and are carried out in the same stages and are focused on using the Quizizz media with a scientific approach. Based on the results of research that has been carried out on the science learning process, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student interest and learning outcomes in science subjects using Quizizz media with a scientific approach. In the first cycle, the N-Gain calculation was carried out on students' interest in learning, obtaining an average score of 85.6 with a score of 57.2, which was in the quite effective category, then the students' learning results were 27 out of 30 students obtained a completeness score of ≥70 and the results N-Gain calculations obtained an average value of 82 with a score of 56.2 in the quite effective category. In cycle II, the N-Gain calculation of interest in learning averaged 93 and reached a score of 80.9% in the effective category. The results of the N-Gain calculation resulted in an average learning score of 91.36 and a score of 81.39%.

&#x0D; &#x0D; &#x0D; &#x0D; This study aims to determine the relationship between online game addiction and parents' educational background with interest in learning Islamic religious education in students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Sleman. Religious education is the primary education that is mandatory for children. On the other hand, the current globalization in the world of technology, especially online games, which spreads among children and adolescents, is one of society's problems. The dependence on playing online games, one of the impacts is the existence of problems in psychological aspects, one of which is decreased interest in learning, especially in the field of Islamic education. Meanwhile, one of PAI education roles is as a filter to form a sound generation in people's lives. The problem phenomenon above becomes the problem formulation that will be studied in this study related to how the relationship between online games and the educational background of parents with interest in learning Islamic education in children of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Sleman. There are two variables to be studied: the independent variable addiction to online games and parents' educational background. The dependent variable is the interest in learning Islamic education. The analysis technique used to determine the relationship between the variables of online game addiction and the parents' background with the student's PAI learning interest variable used the product-moment correlation technique with SPSS software version 23. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the significance is more than 0.05, namely 0.850. Meanwhile, according to r table, the value of 0.05 is 0.2787. This means that there is a relationship between student interest in learning and addiction to online games. The higher the addiction to online games, the lower the interest in learning PAI. The result of the relationship coefficient or r count is 0.028, indicating a small or weak contribution from online game addiction to interest in learning, namely 28 percent.&#x0D; &#x0D; &#x0D; &#x0D; &#x0D;

Lecturers must utilize technology to create creative, effective learning materials and boost student interest in learning since students often find traditional teaching methods like diktat or modules boring and unable to drive learning interest. This research aims to produce a valid android-based matrix learning media to increase student interest in learning. The subjects of this study were students of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic. Learning media was developed using the Construct 3 application. Research has succeeded in producing android-based matrix learning media. Based on the media experts' test, the application has met the “Good” category with a percentage of 69.4%. In contrast, the test by material experts gave the result that this learning media has met the criteria for the content of the material with the “Very Good” category at number 82, 7%. Therefore, the learning media can be said to have been valid and can be used. Based on the N-gain test, it is concluded that this android-based matrix learning media has increased student interest in learning with a coefficient of 0.73, which is in the “High” change category.

This research aims to find out the application of discovery learning models in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes in harmonic vibrational materials in MAN 4 Aceh Besar. The method in this study is quasi-experimentation with the design of a pretest-posttest control group. The instruments used are questionnaires and problems. The results showed that the average N-gain of student learning interest in the experimental class was 0.79 high category and control class 0.28 low category. The results of each experimental class indicator included a very positive category while the category control class was positive. Based on the results of the analysis of both classes, it can be concluded that the average interest in student learning in the experimental class is more increased than in the control class, especially on indicators of student engagement. The average N-gain result of student learning outcomes in the experimental class obtained a score of 0.61 moderate categories, then in the control class obtained a score of 0.35 medium category. Based on the test results, the average of the two classes obtained significance scores of 0.000 &lt; 0.05, meaning that there was a difference in the average learning outcome of students in experimental classes and control classes. This proves that the discovery learning model's application can improve students' learning outcomes higher than the discovery learning model in the control class. This study concludes that the application of discovery learning models can increase students' interest and learning outcomes in harmonic vibrational materials in MAN 4 Aceh Besar

Technology in education refers to the use of various digital tools and innovative approaches to enhance the effectiveness and quality of learning. In Arabic language learning, technology has undergone significant development, beginning with audio-visual media and evolving into e-learning platforms, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, and internet-based interactive learning environments. This progression reflects the increasing need for more flexible, engaging, and learner-centered instructional practices. This study aims to examine the roles, utilization, challenges, and technological innovations in Arabic language learning through a library research method. The focus of the study is the analysis of scholarly articles published in academic journals that discuss the integration of technology in the Arabic language learning process. Data are collected from various credible sources, including scientific journals, academic books, and relevant scholarly documents. The findings indicate that technology plays an essential role in improving Arabic language learning by making it more engaging, effective, and responsive to learners’ needs. Digital learning media such as educational applications, e-learning platforms, and interactive tools contribute to increased student motivation and learning interest. Moreover, recent technological innovations—including AI, virtual reality, augmented reality, podcasts, and interactive videos—have enriched teaching strategies and expanded learning opportunities. Applications such as Duolingo, Mondly, Google Classroom, and Quizizz support flexible, accessible, and enjoyable learning experiences. Overall, the integration of technology provides positive contributions not only to the learning process but also to the assessment and evaluation of Arabic language learning outcomes.
