, because there are still many residents who do not understand what floods are and what to do when experiencing floods. To provide awareness about floods, education about floods must be carried out for children and the elderly so that it occurs. similarities in perception and knowledge about this matter, especially for city residents in upstream areas such as in Mandalika Village. Education about floods is carried out in several stages, including the initial survey stage, coordination, discussion, question and answer activities and evaluation. The counseling material provided includes perceptions about floods, factors that cause floods, ways to avoid and reduce the occurrence of floods and the infrastructure needed to anticipate floods. During the outreach process, discussion and question and answer sessions were also provided, to increase participants' understanding of floods. The result of the service that has been carried out is being able to provide counseling to the community, both young people and parents, totaling 25 representatives who attended, including the management of Banjar Sedana Ayu. Participants have gained knowledge about floods and have understood the phenomenon of flooding and ways to avoid it after a question and answer session at the end of the outreach activity. By having the participants at the location of this trial, some of the people in the Mandalika sub-district already understand how floods occur and are expected to be able to deal with them if they happen.

Online tutoring has been found to have a positive impact on student learning in STEM education. The aim of this study was to explore how and to what extent students supported their own and other students' processes of inquiry during online tutoring. More specifically, question and answer sessions (Q&As) were studied, and online tutoring transcripts were analyzed using the Relationship of Inquiry coding scheme adapted from the Community of Inquiry framework. The students interacted voluntarily with each other and with the teachers. The results show that the students supported both their own process of inquiry as well as other students' process of inquiry. Furthermore, the results indicate that students acquired metacognitive development through self- and co-regulation when they expressed teaching presence. Overall, we conclude that Q&As have the potential to support student learning when working on assignments in STEM education.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to examine the process of embedding values implemented by excellent teachers in teaching Islamic education in the multi-cultural society. Design/methodology/approach This study was a qualitative study, which used a combination of in-depth interviews, observation and document analysis for data collection. Using a purposive sampling technique, seven excellent Islamic education teachers were selected. The data were analysed using Atlas.ti 7.1.7. Findings The findings of the study show the process of embedding values among excellent teachers include the following aspects: teachers take into consideration the various differences among individuals in their classes, especially of learners’ names and family backgrounds, humour elements, praising of students, lectures, repetition practical areas, problem-solving and question and answer sessions. A variety of methods are used in the process of embedding values including two-way interactions between teachers and students. Teaching happens in stages that link to the cognitive level of the students and these learning environments allow the values to be exposed, taught and personally experienced by the students. Practical implications This study shows that teachers should use various types of teaching methods, i.e. light-hearted element, praising students, lectures, repetition, practical areas, problem-solving and question and answer sessions, to embed values during the lessons of Islamic education. Interaction between students and teachers takes place and creates a transformative process of knowledge and allowing the positive values to be taught effectively. They start to learn and appreciate the values of others and also be able to practice them in their daily lives. The students were exposed to the diversity of culture and various types of background of their friends. The awareness of the teachers in creating a learning environment that is sensitive to all students is very important. Thus, these methods should be taken into consideration by teachers to teach values and should be exposed during teacher training so they are able to implement them in the classroom. Originality/value This paper explores and describes methods of embedding of values used by excellent Islamic education teachers in the lessons of Islamic education. There are very few studies conducted in this area and this qualitative study is focussed on how values are thought in the lessons of Islamic education. These findings can be used by educators to improve the quality of the lessons based on most effective teaching methods used by the teachers in the lessons of Islamic education.

Introduction: The absence of adequate understanding regarding prison laws can cause uncertainty and dissatisfaction in society.Purposes of Devotion: Provide an in-depth understanding to the public regarding the human rights of prisoners, legal procedures in prisons, and rehabilitation efforts carried out. Through this outreach, it is hoped that the community can better understand their role in supporting the reintegration of prisoners into society. Other goals are to reduce negative stigma towards prisoners, encourage community participation in rehabilitation programs, and stimulate positive attitude changes towards the criminal justice system. Thus, this outreach aims to create a supportive, fair environment and strengthen positive relations between the community and Cianjur Prison. Method of Devotion: First, using a visual presentation approach such as slides and supporting materials to provide a clear understanding of prison legal procedures and prisoners' rights. Next, a question and answer session was held to facilitate direct interaction between resource persons and participants, allowing for further clarification and discussion. Involving small discussion groups is also an effective method for stimulating the exchange of opinions and shared understanding. Finally, providing material in the form of brochures or pamphlets will make it easier for participants to understand and disseminate this information to the wider community. With this holistic approach, it is hoped that extension can achieve a positive and sustainable impact.Results of the Devotion: In accordance with the question and answer session and discussion, prisoners showed an interest in further exploring the human rights they have in prison, as well as how these rights can be exercised in everyday life. Findings also indicate that counseling creates an environment of open dialogue, allowing inmates to raise their questions and concerns regarding their rights and the legal process. With clearer information, prisoners feel more motivated to take part in the rehabilitation and resocialization programs offered by Cianjur Prison. Additionally, the findings highlighted that prisoners welcomed approaches that supported their rights, and as a result, saw improvements in self-confidence and psychological well-being among them. This indicates that legal education not only provides information, but also empowers prisoners to become more active in managing their rights and planning for the future after release.

This community service activity aims to provide training in writing popular scientific articles to improve the quality of writing by At Tanwir magazine contributors. Activities are carried out online and using the lecture method. This activity was attended by 25 participants from PCIM and PCIA Pakistan. The result of this activity is an increase in participants' understanding regarding writing popular articles. Community service activities run smoothly and successfully. The training material for writing popular scientific articles contains four (4) topics, namely: (1) motivation for writing, (2) basis for writing, (3) tips and tricks for writing, and (4) several things that must be considered when writing opinions and columns. After the material delivery session was completed, it continued with a discussion and question and answer session. The discussion and question and answer sessions also went well. Many participants interacted with the resource person to discuss the material presented. In the future, it is recommended that there be more intensive follow-up activities to improve participants' writing skills.

A typical college-level human physiology course surveys a breadth of physiological topics. Students are expected to demonstrate an understanding of organ system functions from the molecular to the organismal scale as well as an understanding of how interactions between organ systems produce integrated functions. Concept maps are learning tools that help students make connections between seemingly disparate concepts, like physiological processes occurring at different scales and interactions between different organ systems. The purpose of this study was to compare exam scores of students who attended a review session with concept mapping to those who attended a review session without concept mapping, as well as to assess the perceived exam preparedness of students who attended an exam review and those who did not attend an exam review. We hypothesized that the addition of concept mapping during an exam review session would improve average student exam scores and that students who attended a review session would report that they were better prepared for the exam.The concept map intervention was implemented as part of each exam review session for two in-person offerings of a large enrollment intermediate level human physiology course (n=747 students) in 2021–22 at a large public research university. Control exam performance data was collected in the same course without the concept map intervention as part of the exam review sessions for two in-person offerings (n=807 students) during 2017-18. The intervention groups’ exam review sessions consisted of 30 minutes of concept mapping followed by 20 minutes of a student question and answer session. The control groups’ exam review sessions consisted of 50 minutes of a student question and answer session. After each exam, students were asked to report the grade they expected to earn on the exam (A, B, C, D or F) as a measure of their level of exam preparedness. A student’s t-test was used to determine significant differences between exam scores of students in the intervention and control group. Data are presented as mean exam score (%)±SD.Overall exam scores in the control group (80.4±11.7) were significantly higher than the experimental group (78.75±11.8, p=0.007). Of the students who participated in the survey, 2,228 participated in the exam review and 543 did not. Perceived exam preparedness are as follows for groups that attended the exam review (expecting A:25%, B:55%, C:18%, D:2%, F:0%) and those who did not attend (expecting A:20%, B:49%, C:23%, D:4%, F:2%).The overall exam scores from the control group were higher than the experimental group. This suggests that adding concept maps to the review session did not improve exam scores. There may be confounding factors affecting exam scores (ex: transitioning to an in-person setting after the global pandemic). More research needs to be done to understand the impact of including concept map exercises in exam review sessions on student exam performance. In traditional game theory, players are typically endowed with exogenously given knowledge of the structure of the game--either full omniscient knowledge or partial but fixed information. In real life, however, people are often unaware of the utility of taking a particular action until they perform research into its consequences. In this paper, we model this phenomenon. We imagine a player engaged in a question and- answer session, asking questions both about his or her own preferences and about the state of reality; thus we call this setting "Socratic" game theory. In a Socratic game, players begin with an a priori probability distribution over many possible worlds, with a different utility function for each world. Players can make queries, at some cost, to learn partial information about which of the possible worlds is the actual world, before choosing an action. We consider two query models: (1) an unobservable-query model, in which players learn only the response to their own queries, and (2) an observable-query model, in which players also learn which queries their opponents made.The results in this paper consider cases in which the underlying worlds of a two-player Socratic game are either constant-sum games or strategically zero-sum games, a class that generalizes constant-sum games to include all games in which the sum of payoffs depends linearly on the interaction between the players. When the underlying worlds are constant sum, we give polynomial-time algorithms to find Nash equilibria in both the observable- and unobservable-query models. When the worlds are strategically zero sum, we give efficient algorithms to find Nash equilibria in unobservablequery Socratic games and correlated equilibria in observablequery Socratic games.

Adequacy of nutrition and food is one indicator of the success of a nation's development. The nutritional status of children under five is one of the indicators used to measure the nutritional status of the community. Toddlers and infants are one of the age groups that are vulnerable to malnutrition. Nutrition is very influential on intelligence and work productivity. Malnutrition in toddlers can cause growth disorders and physical development and intelligence. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge about the parenting style of parents of toddlers with nutritional problems in Sampoang Village. This service activity is carried out in 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the counseling stage and the closing stage by preparing a community service report. This activity was attended by 37 participants, during the implementation of the counseling, the presenters also conducted an evaluation by conducting a question and answer session with the counseling participants. This counseling gave significant results where there was an increase in knowledge of parents of toddlers by looking at the results of the evaluation given by conducting a question and answer session with counseling participants.

In delivering information related to lecture activities at the National University, the Information Systems Study Program has prepared a special website, namely http://si.ftki.unas.ac.id/. The website contains a lot of information about important activities or announcements, it's just that the need for other supporting information makes users have the need to ask further questions regarding the information contained on the website. Actually the Website http://si.ftki.unas.ac.id/ has provided the RoomChat feature for question and answer sessions between admin and users, but this feature is still ineffective, such as there is a time lag between questions and responses or unable to provide services for 24 jam. In this study, the authors wanted to design the chatbot feature using the waterfall method, which was carried out sequentially starting from the planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing to maintenance stages. While working on the application, this chatbot was created using the Codeigniter framework with the mysqli database. This chatbot feature will result in a more interactive question and answer session, so that two-way communication with users can run smoothly.

A Role of Cooperative Question and Answer Session in University English Presentation Courses in Japan

Mastery of AutoCAD software for engineering students is very necessary to assist in technical drawing. Training using AutoCAD software for engineering students at Nusa Putra University can help them to better understand design in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawing using AutoCAD software. The training was carried out in 3 sessions, namely a theoretical presentation session by the resource person, followed by a drawing practicum which was attended by students using computers in the Nusa Putra University engineering laboratory, the last was a question and answer session. This activity received a positive response from students and lecturers so it needs to be held every year.

: Background: Women of all ages are at risk for developing breast cancer. More than 90% of patients can be treated if diagnosed early. However, most women do not perform a regular BSE (Breast Self-Examination), which is an effective and inexpensive way to prevent considerable cancer-related death and morbidity.Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the impact of Health Belief Model (HBM)-based training on BSE behavior.Patients and Methods: The study involved a controlled intervention performed with 200 women referred to health centers in Zahedan; 100 women were included in the intervention group and 100 other women in the control group. Before undertaking intervention training, a questionnaire designed according to HBM principles was completed by the subjects. The intervention training was then carried out with the intervention group using a lecture, question and answer sessions, and a film. Two months after the intervention, the questionnaire was readministered. Data were analyzed using SPSS 19 software, an independent t-test, a paired t-test, and a chi-square analysis; P < 0.05 was considered significant.Results: The independent t-test showed that before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in mean knowledge scores or HBM parameters among the control and intervention groups (P > 0.05). However, a significant difference was found after the intervention as the mean knowledge score increased and the HBM parameters differed in the intervention group (P < 0.05). A paired t-test showed that the mean differences in knowledge scores and HBM parameters before and after the intervention were statistically significant (P < 0.05), but no significant before and after differences were identified among the control group (P > 0.05). Before the study, the percentage of women who regularly performed a BSE was 7% in the intervention group, but this was increased to 51% after the intervention.Conclusions: It seems that a training program based on HBM principles is effective for inducing BSE behavior. Also, based on the findings of this study, there may be a need to increase the awareness of the perceived severity of breast cancer and the possible benefits of BSE and a self-efficacy approach to health. It is recommended that training programs emphasizing such changes be designed and implemented. Implication for health policy/practice/research/medical education:The results of this study is to be used for health and medical authorities, It is recommended that Training programs with emphasis on changing knowledge, perceived severity and benefit , and self-efficacy, toward improving the health of women should be designed and implemented. This community service activity was carried out by a Team of Lecturers and Students at the Faculty of Business at Mitra Indonesia University (UMITRA) Lampung for Students of Pelita Gedong Tataan Vocational School. This activity discusses increasing the understanding of financial literacy in Pelita Gedong Tataan Vocational School Students. This is done because financial literacy is very important to understand and apply in life, being one of the six basics of literacy. The goal is that every Pelita Gedong Tataan Vocational School student has an understanding of financial literacy that can be used not only at this time, but after they work and even have a household. The method used is socialization by providing motivation with lectures and discussions in the form of question and answer sessions. The results show that financial literacy is still a new knowledge for some students. Even though financial literacy greatly influences positive financial behavior and financial management itself. By participating in this activity, they hope to be able to increase financial literacy, and have an impact on good financial management and avoid various financial crimes.
