Novel Planning Technique for ERP Systems Implementation Projects

Aim of this work – to set forth general principles of ground of efficiency of informatively-measuring technologies in the process of exploitation of objects of the real estate. Methodology. The method of substantiating the effectiveness of the restoration of the technical condition of real estate in the process of their operation is based on the use of information and measurement technologies to establish the technical condition of the object, which is a combination of information retrieval methods, instrumental measurement, analysis and processing of such information, technological and technical solutions to ensure the operational suitability of the facility in conditions of uncertainty. The method involves the formation of a repair strategy using information and measurement technologies based on the development of the life cycle of repairs and algorithms for selecting options for instrumental monitoring systems, choosing the procedure for studying the duration of measurement work, justification of labor and information technology costs and comparative assessment of total costs of real estate object. Results. It is established that measuring works are an integral part of the process of operation and repair work in its composition, which are carried out according to a single schedule of operation of the building and are part of repair work, and the frequency and volume of measuring, including geodetic work correlate with. To plan the volume of measuring work, their duration and labor costs are determined on the basis of existing time norms, and in their absence – by methods of technical rationing. Substantiation of the effectiveness of information and measurement technologies in the operation of real estate is performed by comparative assessment of total costs during the operational stage of its life cycle, taking into account the costs of implementing information and measurement technologies, that is the set of processes for obtaining information by instrumental measurement and processing ‘effective conclusion on the technical condition of the property. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is in the development of general principles for substantiating the effectiveness of information and measurement technologies in the operation of real estate. The practical significance lies in the improvement of standard solutions for the choice of composition and content of information and measurement technologies, taking into account their impact on the duration and labor costs of all types of repairs and reconstruction.

The engagement of stakeholders affects project outcome hence it is believed that when the stakeholders has a stake in the corporate social responsibility process that the project will meet its set objectives and be sustainable. The objective of the study was to establish the effect of stakeholders engagement on corporate social responsibility projects in Niger Delta. Stakeholders engagement focused on inclusion on project identification, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation. The guiding framework of the study was anchored on the theory of system, stakeholders theory and contingency theory. The study methodology involve literature review and multiple case study of corporate social responsibility projects carried out by oil and gas Companies in Niger Delta region. Data was collected and analyzed thematically. The finding of the study revealed that the stakeholders were involved in the determination of the project site. there was consultation in determining the the site of the Corporate social responsibility project, timelines were agreed upon by the stakeholders, funds were released based on progress made and there were regular site visit. Also, it was revealed that stakeholders engagement in project identification, project planning, project implementation, project monitoring and evaluation contributes to sustainability of corporate social responsibility projects in Niger Delta. From the findings it was concluded that increased engagement of stakeholder in every aspect of corporate social responsibility project process enhanced the project sustainability. Based on the finding it is recommended that the stakeholders particularly the beneficiary should be included in all aspect of the project.

The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of resource management practices on the performance of livestock projects in Rwanda. The study was guided by the following specific objectives: To investigate the effect of resource planning to the performance of RDDP in Gicumbi District; to assess the effect of project implementation to the performance of RDDP in Gicumbi District; to find out the effect of resource monitoring and evaluation to the performance of RDDP in Gicumbi District and finally to determine the effect of mediating variables to the performance of RDDP in Gicumbi District. This study was carried out in Gicumbi District using descriptive survey design and targeting 648 population including RDDP implementers, beneficiaries and stakeholders. The sample size was calculated using Slovin’s formula. The study used 219 respondents who were selected purposively from RDDP’s beneficiaries, stakeholders and implementers. Data was collected using structured questionnaire, Kobo Toolbox software and interview. Coded filled sheets were used for extracting data from the returned questionnaires. The data was analyzed using SPSS and the findings showed that a number of factors affect the performance of livestock projects in Rwanda. A correlation matrix indicating the relationships among variables show that there are strong positive correlations with Project performance (0.785, 0.775 and 0.689) emphasizing the significance p-values (Sig. 2-tailed = .000) of effective Project resources planning, Project implementation and Project resources monitoring respectively. The correlation coefficient, represented by the value of R, is 0.864 for this model. This indicates a strong positive correlation between the combined effects of the predictors and the dependent variable. The coefficient of determination, denoted as R2, is 0.747 and Project resources planning, Project implementation, and Project resources monitoring exhibit coefficients of β1: 0.429, β2: 0.477, β3: 0.101 while Mediating variables have β4 of 0.184 and Significance levels (p<0.05) indicate strong positive effects on project performance. The regression analysis p-value of 0.000 (Sig.<0.05) indicates the significant effect of project resource planning, implementation, and monitoring, as well as the mediating variable, on project performance in Gicumbi District. This leads to confirming that there is a significant positive effect of project resource management on project performance.

The existence of poor project planning and implementation culture is an anti-thesis to development. This is because the growth of any nation is essentially dependent on successful execution of critical development projectsand infrastructures. The purpose of thispaper is to explore the current issues around project planning and implementation in Nigeria’s public sector vis-à-vis international best practices. The methodology adopted was a documentary review of past and current literature which enhance critical and contextual analysis of project implementation and execution culture in the country. It was found that the three tiers of government have not really planned, implemented and executed projects with due diligence in accordance with global best practices. Thus there exists a widespread institutional mediocrity in project execution, deficiency of vision, and inadequate budgetary allocations leading to high cost of project financing and corruption in the long run. The paper recommends amongst other things the establishment of National Public Projects Implementation System (NPPIS),public projects governance institutional framework and project management offices (PMOs), in Ministries Departments and Agencies to support processes for better public projects delivery system.

Resource planning is a key determinant of the success of community-based projects, yet there is limited consolidated evidence on how its core practices influence project performance. This systematic literature review examines the relationship between resource planning and community-based project performance, focusing on three central constructs: resource identification, resource distribution, and scheduling and budgeting. Drawing on peer-reviewed studies from African contexts, the review examines how effective identification of human, financial, material, and informational resources ensures alignment with community needs. Resource distribution is analyzed in terms of equitable and efficient allocation across project activities, which enhances implementation effectiveness and community satisfaction. Scheduling and budgeting practices are examined for their role in ensuring timely project execution, cost control, and long-term sustainability. Project performance is conceptualized as a multi-dimensional construct encompassing efficiency (time and cost), effectiveness (achievement of project objectives), and sustainability (enduring project impact). The review further highlights the moderating role of community participation, local partnerships, and transparency in planning, which strengthen the relationship between resource planning and project outcomes. Theoretical perspectives from the Resource-Based View, Contingency Theory, and Stakeholder Theory are integrated to explain the mechanisms through which resource planning influences performance. The findings indicate that community-based projects with structured resource planning processes, supported by active stakeholder engagement, demonstrate higher levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability. A conceptual framework linking resource planning constructs to multi-dimensional project performance under the influence of moderating factors is proposed, providing a foundation for future empirical research and practical decision-making. This review contributes to knowledge on resource management in community-based projects and offers practical guidance for project managers, policymakers, and development practitioners. نتيجة للتطور والتقدم المستمر تصاعدت الاهمية لموضوع بحوث العمليات حيث يساعد الالمام بأساليب بحوث العمليات وتطبيقها في رسم السياسات ووضع الخطط بما يتفق والاهداف مع ضمان الاستخدام الامثل للطاقات والامكانات اذ ان التقدم الذي يشهده العالم الان في كافة المجالات ادى الى تطوير العديد من المشروعات المتنوعة ويعد عامل الوقت عاملا مهما في تنفيذ هذه المشروعات في اقل فتره زمنيه ممكنه للبدء بإنجاز مشروعات اخرى جديده وهنا ينبغي الاخذ بنظر الاعتبار الامكانيات المتاحة لتنفيذ هذه المشروعات حتى انه لابد من الوصول الى التخطيط الامثل في ظل هذه الموارد والامكانيات المحدودة لتخطيط المشروع. ولقد اصبح من الضرورات الموضوعية الاخذ بأساليب التخطيط الحديثة المرافقة للتطورات العلمية والتعقيد في الاعمال الحديثة. وتهدف الدراسة الى استخدام اساليب بحوث العمليات المتمثلة بأسلوب( المسار الحرج وبيرت) لتخطيط ومتابعة مشروع انجاز تصنيع الابواب الخشبية، بهدف تحقيق الوقت الامثل لا نهاء المشروع في ظل الموارد والامكانيات المتاحة وبأقل تكاليف ممكنة. وقد خرجت الدراسة بأن عدم استخدام اساليب بحوث العمليات في تنفيذ المشاريع داخل المعمل انعكست اثارها السلبية على تنفيذ المشروع الاول اذ بلغت الفترة الزمنية للتنفيذ( 365) يوم في حين ان المخطط كان لفترة لا تتجاوز(206 ) يوم وباعتماد اسلوبي المسار الحرج وبيرت تم تحديد الفترة الزمنية ب (206) يوم وبذلك فان هناك فارقاً واضحاً بين التنفيذ الفعلي والتخطيط العلمي اذ بلغ(159 ) يوم كما ان مقدار كلفة التنفيذ كانت(107$ ) دولار. والاعتماد على الخبرة الشخصية المتراكمة دون تحديد افضل الاساليب العلمية الصحيحة في انجاز مشاريع تصنيع انتاج الابواب الخشبية في معمل المصطفى. ومن المؤشرات التي تم التوصل اليها بالاعتماد على بيانات سابقة في تنفيذ المشروع الاول اتضح ان من اهم الاسباب في تأخير عملية تنفيذ اكثر من نشاط متداخل هو عدم اتساع المساحات المخصصة لا نجاز الاعمال. وكان من احد الاسباب الرئيسة في تعطيل انجاز المشروع السابق عن موعده المحدد هو التأخير في وصول المواد الاولية في اوقاتها المحددة مما يعطي مؤشرا واضحاً على وجود خلل تمثل في ضعف المتابعة.

Commentaries on health services research

The article is a continuation of regular research on project management based on efficient transportation. The purpose of the work is to improve the efficiency of management decision-making in the implementation of projects in transport logistics through the use of automated planning and analysis systems. The object of study is the process of forming organizational support for project management in transport logistics using automated planning and analysis systems for project efficiency. The subject of the study is the practical tools for organizational support of project management in transport logistics using automated systems for planning and analyzing project performance. Methods. In the course of the study, a systematic approach was implemented, general scientific methods were used, including logical analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, analogy, and modeling. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the fundamental provisions of project management, management efficiency theory, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists on project management at the micro, meso, and macro levels. Given the purpose of the work, several tasks were set and solved, in particular, the applied imperatives of resource and budget planning were outlined on the example of a logistics center based on the Odesa seaport and the project implementation was monitored in Microsoft Project. In terms of resource and budget planning, the expediency of using the method and indicators of the volume utilized is proved. The actual progress of the project against the planned indicators is analyzed. A new project was created using the Microsoft Project software and data entry method. In terms of monitoring, conclusions were drawn on the course of events in the project implementation and the status of implementation by individual types of work was clearly shown. All this made it possible to achieve concrete results. In terms of resource and budget planning, it was determined to what extent there is a deviation from the planned project implementation timeframe. In terms of monitoring, the need to optimize staffing, budget, and time parameters was identified. The essence of this optimization boils down to the decision to attract additional labor resources with the corresponding cost of work per hour. This made it possible to get rid of the conflict and obtain positive dynamics in the project implementation, as evidenced by the date of its completion, which remained unchanged after the resources were equalized. The need to continue the study and focus on project risk management is outlined.

The number and frequency of project activities increase in daily working life. Consequently, the significance of project success gains in importance which requires high accuracy of the project results regarding time / progress, budget and resources. A foundation of project success is built by project planning - especially by project resource planning. Objective resource planning is based on project's characteristics and complexity which can be described by project factors. They allow to determine the required amount of managerial capacities (e.g. project manager, sub-project manager) related to project content within its enterprise-specific restrictions. Such calculation presupposes data of former projects to define the project type and to predict resource demands by using the statistical methods correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Finally, a critical acclaim of the new developed resource planning methodology is necessary for its evaluation.

The article presents a critical analysis of the main economic programs adopted in Brazil in the first year and a half of Lula da Silva's rule (2023 – the first half of 2024), and which will determine the country's development strategy for the next decade. Particular attention is paid to diagnosing the current state of industry and infrastructure in Brazil, analyzing the causes of deindustrialization, assessing the opportunities and risks of strengthening the role of the state in the modernization of industry and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects. The success of new development programs and their geopolitical impact will depend on the effectiveness of public resource management, improved planning and implementation of projects, and increased interaction and control at the federal and sub-regional levels.

Research Highlights: The global Forest Landscape Restoration ambitions could be impaired by projects that ignore key principles such as the engagement of local communities in decision making and implementation, equitable benefit sharing, and monitoring for adaptive management. This entails the danger of continued degradation, disappointed local stakeholders, and ultimately, project failure. Other projects face technical problems related to tree establishment and nursery production. Background and Objectives: There are high hopes for Forest and Landscape Restoration to regain ecosystem integrity and enhance human well-being in deforested and degraded areas. We highlight various problems and success factors experienced during project implementation on a global scale. Materials and Methods: We use data from a global online survey to identify common obstacles and success factors for the implementation of forest restoration. Results: While the majority of respondents reported successful projects, others indicate drastic problems and failed projects. Major obstacles to forest restoration experienced by survey respondents were a lack of local stakeholder involvement and a mismatch between goals of local communities and restoration managers, as well as environmental, anthropogenic, and technical barriers to tree regeneration. Conclusions: When local communities, their goals, and needs are disregarded in project planning and implementation, as reported from various cases in our survey and the limited available literature, there is a risk of project failure. Failed projects and disappointed stakeholders, as well as discouraged funders and policy-makers, could lessen the momentum of global forest restoration ambitions. Adhering to key principles of Forest and Landscape Restoration can promote much-needed community support, with the potential to overcome barriers to forest regeneration and enable communities for the protection, management, and monitoring of the restored forests beyond the limited project and funding periods. Research is needed to gain a better understanding of the perception of local communities towards restoration activities. Further studies on the implementation of forest restoration at the intersection of environmental factors, socioeconomic conditions, forest regeneration/silviculture, and nursery production are needed.

Each of these phases benefits from specialized tools that simplify tasks, enhance collaboration, reduce errors, and increase overall efficiency. With the growing popularity of agile methodologies and the widespread adoption of DevOps culture, the use of automated tools, project management platforms, testing frameworks, and version control systems has become essential for modern software teams. Selecting the right tools and integrating them effectively into the development process plays a major role in determining whether a project will meet its objectives. This study aims to analyze the significance of these tools in real-world software projects, highlighting their advantages, practical applications, and limitations. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights for developers, project managers, and organizations looking to optimize their software development practices using modern tools and techniques. The study investigated the influence of participatory project practices (PPP) on performance of rural water projects carried out by Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) in Ushetu district, Tanzania. It specifically looked at the influence of participatory project planning and implementation, monitoring, and communication on project performance. Using a casual research design and a Likert rated questionnaire, the study collected quantitative primary data from 171 respondents, including 143 water users and 28 RUWASA staff. Both descriptive and inferential statistics such as Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression were used to analyse the data. The results showed a positive relationship between project performance and participatory project planning, implementation, monitoring, and communication. The multiple linear regression analysis revealed that participatory project planning and implementation had a significant positive impact on project performance. Similarly, a participatory project monitoring and communication were also found to have a positive effect on project performance. The study concluded that involving the community in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and communication can enhance the performance of RUWASA projects in terms of cost-effectiveness and sustainable clean water supply. It was recommended that community members participate in all aspects of project planning, implementation, and monitoring, and that participatory communication be prioritized to facilitate knowledge-sharing and informed decision-making.

While formal project plans are of a practically central concern in project management, their successful implementation remains an essential challenge for virtually every organization. In situations where the organization’s environment is changing, the organization itself is faced with a need to change. The fact that Commercial Banks in Kenya are in transition following the change in market demand, consumer behavior and influence of technology, require an appropriate background and detailed understanding of previous and existing challenges in project plans implementation so that a new shift is established. The banking industry has experienced a rapid growth in terms of profits, deposits, revenues in the recent past. This trend has triggered a lot of competition in the banking industry. Commercial Banks in Kenya have managed to weather this competition to stand out as one of the most successful Kenyan businesses today. In rhythm with this, the study set out to investigate the effects of implementation of project plans on overall performance of commercial banks in major towns in Kenya. The thematic focus was on organizational culture, organizational structure, corporate leadership and financial resource. Towards achieving this, the study purposively targeted a case of Migori Town to form a basis for objective generalization. The town has six commercial banks in whose purview the target population of 90 staff was constituted. Sampling was conducted by proportional stratified sampling to generate ultimate respondents of 30 being one third of the target population, whose views and opinions was used for the study’s generalizations. From the identified respondents, questionnaires were administered to collect the required data, which were then processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The target respondents were the bank managers and section heads. The research also used secondary data for the study. The data was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. The study found that organizational culture, organization structure, corporate leadership and financial resources influenced implementation of project plans at commercial banks in Migori Town. Culturally, poor internalization of mission and strategic content, lack of participation in making of rules and regulations, lack of knowledge of content in operational manuals, insensitive employee development policies and highly structured downward communication effected employees’ mobilization to executing project plans. Organizational structures of the commercial banks influenced implementation of project plans. Management did not give employees required independence in performing their implementation duties. Also, authority was more centralized than decentralized, making employees wait for instructions from the top. In addition, spans of control were relatively big and difficult for efficient control. The long hierarchy derailed most of the essential decisions as information flow delayed to a large extent. This also contributed to weakening of employee synergy. Structurally, the commercial banks were more rigid than flexible as they hardly conducted reviewed regularly. The study concluded that internal culture that does not support ultimate realization of business objectives should be avoided by first ensuring that all employees are well inducted into their roles and space in service delivery. The research study recommended that experts are involved in regular reviews of adopted organizational structures. On leadership, it is recommended that top managers undergo executive capacity building sessions to come to realization that their corporate objectives are easily attained through team work and not through strict supervision and instructions. Purpose- The purpose of this study is to research some of the major problems and challenges in the construction industry that need to be addressed and solved by various stakeholders. Factors influencing technology use in building construction project management Inadequate risk management, lack of structure, poor communication, unrealistic expectations/bad forecasting, delayed cash flow and limited skills. Methodology- The study employs a quantitative study to explore the construction industry for building a competitive advantage. Findings- The analysis reveals that the construction industry faces various challenges that can impact project delivery, productivity, and overall performance. there are some common problems in the construction industry. Construction projects often encounter cost overruns due to factors such as inaccurate initial estimates, changes in project scope, unforeseen site conditions, and fluctuations in material and labor costs. Budgetary constraints can lead to financial strain and project delays. Delays in construction projects can occur due to factors like poor project planning and management, inclement weather, labor shortages, regulatory approvals, and issues with subcontractors or suppliers. These delays can result in increased costs, contractual disputes, and dissatisfaction among project stakeholders. Construction sites are inherently hazardous environments, and ensuring worker safety is a critical concern. Failure to comply with safety regulations, inadequate training, lack of safety protocols, and inadequate risk assessments can lead to accidents, injuries, and even fatalities. Effective communication and collaboration among project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, are essential for successful project delivery. Inadequate communication, misinterpretation of project requirements, and lack of coordination can lead to errors, rework, and delays. Maintaining high-quality construction standards is crucial, but the industry often faces challenges in ensuring consistent quality control. Conclusion - based upon the analysis findings it may be concluded that the difficulties can turn to competitive advantage with better strategic planning, risk management, and management of resources. The construction industry has a very important role in many countries for Economic Development, Innovation, Technological Change, and Growth.
