Due to recent pandemic, 2022 8th International Conference on Applied Materials and Manufacturing Technology (ICAMMT 2022) was held virtually online on April 15th-17th, 2022. The decision to hold the virtual conference was made in compliance with many restrictions and regulations that were imposed by countries around the globe. Such restrictions were made to minimize the risk of people contracting or spreading the COVID-19 through physical contact. There were 160 individuals who attended this online conference, represented many countries.ICAMMT 2022 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in manufacturing technology and engineering materials, and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Manufacturing Technology, Intelligent Manufacturing and Applied Materials and related areas.During the conference, the conference model was divided into three sessions, including oral presentations, keynote speeches, and online Q&A discussion. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given about 5-10 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches.In the second part, we invited four professors as our keynote speakers. Prof. Yajun Liu, South China University of Technology, China. His research interest is in the areas of Mechanical system signal testing, analysis, characterization, control and performance optimization. The second keynote speakers, Prof. Honggang Dong, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, China. His research area is Refilled friction stir spot welding of aluminum alloy to galvanized steel sheets. Prof. Weiwei Zhao, Wuhan University of Technology, China. His research area includes Characterization of mechanical and mechanical properties of polymer hydrogels, research and development of biomimetic electroactive hydrogels, and applications of polymer materials in microfluidic devices and biomedicine. Lastly, we were glad to invite Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) of The National University of Malaysia as our finale keynote speakers. He studied on the design and synthesis of new organic heterocyclic compounds for EL device application. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. Every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.The proceedings are a compilation of the accepted papers and represent an interesting outcome of the conference. Topics include but are not limited to the following areas: New Materials and Advanced Materials, Advanced Design Technology, Manufacturing Systems and Automation and other related topics. We are glad to introduce you that the 2022 International Conference on Semiconductors, Electromagnetics and Condensed Matter Physics (SECMP 2022) was successfully held from February 25-27, 2022. Considering worldwide travel restriction and the impact of COVID-19, SECMP 2022 was carried out in the form of virtual conference to avoid personnel gatherings. His research interest focuses on the investigation of the electronic structures and novel properties of quantum materials using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), including the topological quantum materials, strongly correlated materials, low-dimensional materials, and advanced functional materials. Our third keynote speaker, Prof. Ming Yan, from Shanghai university, China. Prof. Bin Zhu, our finale keynote speaker, from Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Solar Energy Science and Technology/Energy Storage Joint Research Center, Southeast University, China/Loughborough University, UK, performed a speech: Semiconductor-based superionic conductors for new generation fuel cell applications. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. Her research passions are focused on fire engineering, gas and dust explosion, and fire and explosion modelling. He demonstrated that chaotic memristive CNN system can be used in the secure communication by the chaos synchronization based on sliding mode control. Assoc. Prof. Pavel Loskot, from Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI), our third keynote speakers. He presented a speech: Monte Carlo Simulations Revisited. Her speech focusing on the computational efficiency of the operational reliability assessment in power systems that contain high penetration renewables, this presentation lays a theoretical foundation to support practical applications of an online high-accuracy operational reliability assessment. Prof. Alberto Borghetti, University of Bologna, Italy, shared a speech on his specialty related to Scheduling problems in local energy communities. This presentation is aimed to describe some models that could be useful for the operation of energy communities and distribution networks where trading between neighbors becomes significant. A/Prof. Farhad Shahnia, Murdoch University, Australia, made an insightful speech on Recent and Future Research on Microgrid Clusters. This talk briefly introduced the progress of research in this field around the world and Australia, and also discussed some of the technical challenges associated with interconnection of neighbouring microgrids as a key step to improve their survivability in the course of unexpected imbalances between the demand and the available generation from intermittent renewable resources. Prof. Xinyu Chen, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, delivered a speech: Towards Higher Penetration of Renewable Challenge and Opportunities. This talk focused on deepen the understanding of how the environmental regulations and low carbon polices influence the operation, planning and markets for power systems in different counties. As the last keynote speaker, Prof. Shouxiang Wang from Tianjin University, China. Prof. Shanquan Wang, from School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University, performed a speech: Spatial distribution, bioconversion and ecological risk of halogenated persistent organic pollutants in contaminated urban rivers: a nationwide study in China. His study provided unprecedented insights into contamination, conversion and ecological risk of PCBs and PBDEs in nationwide polluted urban rivers in China. And then we had Prof. Tao Zhu from China University of Mining & Technology (Beijing). His research area is air pollution control and solid waste treatment and resource. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. The 2022 2nd International Conference on Industrial Manufacturing and Structural Materials (IMSM 2022) was planned to be held on March 25-27, 2022 in Hangzhou, China. Due to the impact of COVID-19, many communities from all over the world were under strict health measures and strict travel restrictions, and participants of IMSM 2022 also meet with the difficulty of travel restrictions. According to the current epidemic prevention policy in Mainland China, our meeting was a virtual conference. IMSM is an annual conference which explored the development and implications in the related fields of Industrial Manufacturing and Structural Materials with an objective to present the novel and fundamental advancements. IMSM is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Industrial Manufacturing and Structural Materials to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities industrial manufacturing and structural materials and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. During the conference, the conference model was divided into three sessions, including oral presentations, keynote speeches, and online Q&A discussion. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given about 5-10 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. In the second part, we invited two professors as our keynote speakers. Prof. Quanxin Zhu, Hunan Normal University, China, performed a speech: Stability and event-triggered control of stochastic nonlinear delay systems. And then we had Prof. Kamal Z. ZAMLI, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. Every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge. The 2020 International Conference on Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Mechanical Automation (IoTAIMA 2020) was held in Hangzhou, China at July 10-12, 2020. Although the impact of covid-19, most participants were still highly enthusiastic about participating in this conference. In order to comply with the control and prevention of the pandemic covid-19, IoTAIMA 2020 was adjusted to be held with combining online conference with offline conference to avoid crowd gathering and physical contact. About the offline conference, we held the opening ceremony in the meeting room of Relax Hotel through live video. Due to the impact of the epidemic and travel restrictions, more than 10 participants came to the venue, and the rest of the participants attended the conference via online collaboration tool, Zoom. IoTAIMA 2020 aimed to provided opportunities for the for experts and scholars in the field of Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Mechanical Automation to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration.During the conference, the conference model was divided into three sessions, including keynote speeches, oral presentations and online Q&A discussion. In the keynote speeches session, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-40 minutes to hold their speeches. We are glad to introduce you that the 2020 International Symposium on Electronic Information Technology and Communication Engineering (ISEITCE 2020), supported by Myanmar Institute of Information Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Changsha University of Science and Technology, was successfully held on June 19, 2020. In light of worldwide travel restriction and the impact of COVID-19, ISEITCE 2020 was carried out in the form of virtual conference to avoid personnel gatherings. Because most participants were still highly enthusiastic about participating in this conference, we chose to carry out ISEITCE 2020 via online platform according to the original schedule instead of postponing it. ISEITCE 2020 aimed to provide a flexible platform for experts and scholars in the field of Electronic Information Technology and Communication Engineering to disseminate the latest research achievements and advanced technologies, as well as to promote the cooperation between academics.We are greatly honored to have invited Prof. Prof. G R Sinha from Myanmar Institute of Information Technology to serve as our Conference Chair. The rest of the committee was composed of nearly twenty privileged scholars from different renowned universities and institutes around the globe.During the conference, the conference model was divided into three sessions, including oral presentations, keynote speeches, and online Q&A discussion. The first two parts were conducted via online collaboration tool, Zoom, while the online discussion was carried out through instant communication tool, WeChat. The online platform enabled all participants to join this grand academic event from their own home.We are glad to share with you that we still received lots of submissions from the conference during this special period. Hence, we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewed them. The 2022 2nd International Conference on Mechanical Automation and Electronic Information Engineering (MAEIE 2022) was successfully held on September 23rd-25th, 2022 in Guizhou, China via virtual format. MAEIE 2022 expanded channels of international academic exchange in science and technology, promoted scientific innovation on the global scale, and strengthen academic cooperation between China and the outside world.In the conference, we were greatly honored to have Prof. Ning Sun from Nankai University, China to serve as our Conference General Chair. 150 individuals around the world took part in the conference. Divided into three parts, the conference agenda covered keynote speeches, oral presentations and online Q&A discussion. Firstly, the keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to address their speeches. Then in the oral presentations, the excellent papers we had selected were presented by their authors one by one.Three distinguished professors were invited to hold keynote speeches during the conference. Among them, Prof. Guanglei Wu from Dalian University of Technology addressed a speech on Path Planning of Industrial Robots for Obstacle Avoidance. In this presentation, the path planning for robotic manipulators was introduced, and by combining artificial potential field method and bidirectional rapidly exploring random tree, a BiRRT-APF algorithm was proposed, aiming to handle the problems of highly possible randomness and low search efficiency. Additionally, Prof. Imane Hilal from Faculty of Information Sciences, Morocco addressed a report on Researches on Artificial Intelligence for a Distant Social Learning: Do intelligent Technologies Beat Face-to-Face Learning? The main objective of this study was to present recent research works which focused on the use of AI technics in social distance learning. Then, he discussed the possibility of replacing teachers with technology as already done in many other jobs and concluded with the open challenges in the current distance learning and how AI could make learning more effective and joyful for both students and teachers. Their brilliant keynote speeches had triggered heated discussion in the conference.
