Green Open Spaces (GOS) are an important component of the environment and, as a major spatial plan and area, play an important role in the sustainability of urban communities. The green area within the zone is 30% of the total area of the zone, according to Spatial Planning Act No 26/2007. Similarly, in the Spatial Planning Act, his PU number 05/PRT/M/2008 describes guidelines for the provision and use of open spaces in urban areas. Public and private green spaces are included in open spaces. At least 30% of urban green space is public green space, with the remaining 10% being private green space. The purpose of this research is to identify potential locations for public green spaces in Kota Palu. The survey methods used are descriptive and quantitative, with the location of required green space determined using hierarchical process analysis (AHP) and overlay analysis (weighted overlay). The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) results show that variables are followed by hazard probability in order of priority, then slope, population density, land use, and accessibility. According to the findings, the number of percentages generated by hierarchical process (AHP) analysis and weighted overlay analysis is 34.61%.

Due to the increasing low capacity distributed generators (DGs) installations and penalization of supply disruptions in electrical distribution grid, it is necessary to invest in the distribution protection system. This paper discusses profitability of installation of relays with distance protection function that could protect lines of different voltage levels, lengths and other relevant attributes. The aim is to determine which lines are worth protecting with distance protection and according to that, order of investment by multi-criteria decisionmaking method — analytic hierarchic process (AHP). The first part is an introduction where the circumstances, potential benefits and problems that may arise in distribution grids are presented. This is followed by theory of distance protection and analytic hierarchy process. The final part describes the criteria that should be considered and the way of applying the AHP method with a real example from Croatian distribution grid.

Objective of grinding process is to generate high quality surface finish on work piece. There are many parameters which influence on the work piece roughness. Work piece material and characteristics, grinding wheel specification, grinding conditions and dressing conditions influence on the surface quality of the work piece. Selection of grinding wheel is important aspect for producing good quality of surface finish on the work piece. The main components of grinding wheel are the abrasive grains, bond material and porosity. Selection of correct grinding wheel is necessary for generating better surface finish on the work piece. Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) is used for ranking of vitrified bond grinding wheel parameters on surface roughness on the work piece in sub sequent grinding operation. The grit, grade, (Hardness of wheel) structure and type of abrasive are critically assisted in terms of the surface finish produced on work piece in the subsequent grinding operation. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) shows that the abrasive grit of grinding wheel has first rank and grade (hardness) of the wheel has Second rank for the producing surface finish on the work piece after grinding operation. Structure and type of abrasive of wheel have a third and fourth rank respectively. Thus, AHP gives qualitative way of controlling work piece surface roughness in sub-sequent grinding operation by selecting proper grinding wheel of vitrified bond which helps the user to select the correct grinding wheel.

In order to make sure that structures adhere to the necessary norms and laws, it is essential to evaluate the quality of building construction. According to several frameworks, the quality of a building’s construction can be assessed in a number of different circumstances. In order to provide building projects with excellent quality and competitive pricing, hard work is required. To raise the standard of building construction, a model was created. The goal of this project is to provide a model for raising building construction quality. This study used the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) technique, which includes the determination of consistency ratios, pairwise comparisons, normalization, and a comparison matrix. The difficulty of implementing quality was determined for each task using the AHP technique. This was multiplied by the quality factor to obtain the final quality level. The model was tested in three different situations, and it was discovered that quality application is challenging across all building operations. Using a quality evaluation technique, this study assessed the building construction quality in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, a pairwise comparison, normalization, and a comparison matrix were used to calculate the consistency ratio. The ultimate quality level was determined by multiplying the difficulty level for each activity, as determined using the AHP approach, by the quality factor. This study will therefore be helpful to those involved in Saudi Arabian building, including architects, engineers, quality experts, and others. Additionally, the tool aids in the decision making process for enhancing construction quality.

Forest fires are among the most major causes of global ecosystem degradation. The integration of spatial information from various sources using statistical analyses in the GIS environment is an original tool in managing the spread of forest fires, which is one of the most significant natural hazards in the western region of Syria. Moreover, the western region of Syria is characterized by a significant lack of data to assess forest fire susceptibility as one of the most significant consequences of the current war. This study aimed to conduct a performance comparison of frequency ratio (FR) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) techniques in delineating the spatial distribution of forest fire susceptibility in the Al-Draikich region, located in the western region of Syria. An inventory map of historical forest fire events was produced by spatially digitizing 32 fire incidents during the summers of 2019, 2020, and 2021. The forest fire events were divided into a training dataset with 70% (22 events) and a test dataset with 30% (10 events). Subsequently, FR and AHP techniques were used to associate the training data set with the 13 driving factors: slope, aspect, curvature, elevation, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Normalized Difference Moisture Index (NDMI), Topographic Wetness Index (TWI), rainfall, temperature, wind speed, TWI, and distance to settlements, rivers and roads. The accuracy of the maps resulting from the modeling process was checked using the validation dataset and receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves with the area under the curve (AUC). The FR method with AUC = 0.864 achieved the highest value compared to the AHP method with AUC = 0.838. The outcomes of this assessment provide constructive spatial insights for adopting forest management strategies in the study area, especially in light of the consequences of the current war.

Through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, the target is to address all forms of malnutrition and reduce stunting and wasting in toddlers by 2030. This movement involves policymakers working together to reduce the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia. The objective of this study was to analyze and prioritize, through the Hierar chical Analytical Process (AHP), public policy strategies to accelerate the reduction of stunting in the city of Tasikmalaya. Methods: This research was conducted using a mixed method, including a qualitative approach for interviews and a quantitative approach for prioritization analysis using AHP. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling, with 14 respondents, with the inclusion criteria were: more than 5 years of experience in nutrition policy, representation from key institutions, and a decision-making level of middle to upper management. Interviews were conducted to obtain information on strategic issues in stunting management in Tasikmalaya City. The selection of these alternative policy strategies will be determined in focus group discussions (FGDs) held at government institutions. AHP analysis is carried out using Expert Choice software version 10. Results: Based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process from respondents, the most important alternative strategy is the macronutrient intake intervention. This was determined through an evaluation based on four key criteria: budgetary readiness, infrastructure, institutional sustainability, and community readiness. For example, providing locally sourced food supplements, such as eggs and milk, to toddlers is considered the most rapid and effective way to address stunting in toddlers. This research found that three months of Food Supplement support resulted in increased weight, as well as improvements in nutritional status. Most toddlers experienced weight gain during the support period. Conclusion: Macro-nutrition interventions are clearly superior to other program strategies because this program can be sustainable. The government has to provide more macronutrient interventions for toddlers .

Susceptibility to landslides is one of the geological hazards that most frequently occur along the roads and hereby mainly in those situated in mountainous areas. Through multicriteria studies it is possible to determine critical points, however, these are generally deterministic, so new methodologies that offer a probability of occurrence in the entire study area are sought. The Fuzzy method is a probabilistic technique that is based on the observed to emulate the thinking of the human being and generate an artificial reasoning. Therefore, the main objective of the current study has been to evaluate the susceptibility to landslides through Fuzzy Logic in combination with the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) in the Macas - Riobamba road. This should allow to define critical points in such road. We applied five variables being slope, precipitation, proximity to rivers and roads, as well as vegetation cover. The spatial data were transformed to raster to later standardize their values. With the support of membership functions, the membership of each variable was established to finally perform the weighted sum and obtain the resulting model. Three models were obtained with AHP and one without this, whose adjustments were 84.1%, 87.1 % 89.5% and 60.3% respectively. We identified that the susceptibility to landslides is in the part that crosses the Andes mountain range, with critical points in four specific sectors. With Fuzzy Logic it was possible to generate susceptibility maps, which support make decision processes.

The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method are two methods that are commonly used to handle multicriteria problems. The AHP technique uses a matrix of pairwise comparisons and a hierarchical approach to criteria in order to obtain the final criteria weights. In contrast, the TOPSIS approach incorporates the concepts of proximity to the ideal solution and preference. Next, TOPSIS uses the previously established criterion weights to compute each option's relative closeness score to the ideal answer. In order to determine how effectively the AHP and TOPSIS methodologies complement one another, this study aims to assess the protocols and underlying assumptions of the two approaches. When decision makers are aware of the benefits and drawbacks of each approach, they may choose the best course of action from a mix of the two. The results of the study indicate that the process may be streamlined, subjectivity can be reduced, and criterion weights can be stabilized by combining the AHP and TOPSIS approaches. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method are two methods that are commonly used to handle multicriteria problems. Currently, the need for an internet connection is increasing due to the human need for information and communication that can be obtained through the internet. A decision support system with criteria is needed to solve the challenge of choosing an internet package with many components or criteria that must be evaluated. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) are two multi-criteria decision support system techniques, but they use different measurement techniques. This research aims to identify the best Internet Service Provider by applying the Simple Additive Weight (SAW) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) techniques. The objects used in this research are the providers Indihome, Biznet, and Solnet. The weight of each criterion is determined using the AHP technique, and the best suppliers are ranked using the SAW approach. The sampling technique used in this research was Purposive Sampling. In this study, the ranking results of 100 respondents showed that the ranking for the AHP method was 60% and for the SAW method was 92%. Thus, global calculations using the AHP and SAW methods were obtained for the best alternative ISP, namely Indihome.
