Abstract

Abstract Deep learning (DL) is increasingly used in different fields of research in several domains, among which is Natural Language Generation (NLG). The objective of this work is to study the feasibility of using DL for sentence generation from a Knowledge Representation Formalism, namely Conceptual Graphs (CG). As a first step, we realized an extensive bibliographic work to identify the different aspects and uses of NLG that could be related to our work. Then we trained a sequence-to-sequence model, using a corpus made up of sentences paired with conceptual graphs, that aims to generate sentences from new conceptual graph inputs. The results were evaluated using Bilingual Evaluation Understudy (BLEU) scoring a high value of 0.96.KeywordsNatural language generationConceptual graphSeq2seq
