Think Talk Write Model Improves Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Education

Purpose of the study: The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects by implementing the Demonstration Method in class VIII in junior high school.
 Methodology: This research uses a classroom action research approach with two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation/action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 28 students in class VIII of junior high school. Data is collected through observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative analysis techniques through the Milles and Huberman interactive model in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification, as well as quantitative analysis techniques with descriptive statistics.
 Main Findings: The research results show that the application of the Demonstration Method significantly improves student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education subjects. At the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of student learning outcomes was 71%. After applying the Demonstration Method, learning outcomes increased to 78% in cycle I. A significant increase occurred in cycle II, where student learning outcomes reached a percentage of 88%. These results indicate that the Demonstration Method is effective in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes in Islamic religious education subjects.
 Novelty/Originality of this study: This research contributes to the development of learning methods with a focus on the Demonstration Method in the context of Islamic Religious Education learning. The findings of this research provide empirical evidence that the Demonstration Method can help improve student learning outcomes. The results of this research can be used as a reference for educators, researchers and educational practitioners in designing more effective and interactive learning strategies in facilitating students' understanding of lesson material.

According to Law No. 20 of 2003, a curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content and learning materials, as well as the methods used as guidelines for organizing activities to achieve certain educational goals. The curriculum's function in education is to create lesson plans, design and compile learning materials and objectives, as well as to ensure that learning is carried out effectively. To make learning effective, it is necessary to have the best formula in terms of curriculum content and substance. It will be relatively simple to implement when the curriculum's content and substance are easily digested by teachers and students. Islamic religious education has been a subject in every school, so its existence will be considerably complex, particularly on the material side and adjusting to the curriculum that has been applied. The Curriculum 2013 is a competency-based and character-based curriculum that is expected to improve learning and educational outcomes that are precisely targeted to students' character and morality, knowledge, personality, and implementation in everyday life. The 2013 curriculum includes at least three Islamic education values: Morals, Adab, and Exemplary. The Merdeka Curriculum is a response to the Covid-19 pandemic's missing lessons, often known as loss learning. According to the Ministry of Education and Culture's pocketbook, the Merdeka Curriculum is a curriculum with diverse intra-curricular learning where the content will be more ideal so that students have adequate time to explore concepts and strengthen competencies. Teachers have the freedom to select numerous teaching tools so that learning can be adapted to students' learning needs and interests. Projects to enhance Pancasila student profile success are designed based on government-determined themes. The project is not directed to achieving certain learning achievement targets, so it is not tied to subject content. Islamic education is available in both public and private schools. Islamic religious education aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding of faith, worship, morality, and muamalah. As a result, Islamic religious education provides guidance and attitudes toward religious practice in accordance with Islamic law. Islamic religious education develops individuals with character and excellent morality in students that can be implemented in everyday life. This study aims to compare the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum with the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum (Independent Learning Curriculum) in Islamic religious education learning. Case studies were used in this qualitative study. The sources used and the data collection techniques employed were library research, observation, and interviews. This study focused on Islamic religious education teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Tangerang Selatan City.

This study aims to explain the research-based learning model, its implementation in the Islamic Education Philosophy course, its implications for students, and its primary focus on improving students' critical thinking skills, thereby encouraging them to actively build knowledge through literature analysis and field findings. This study employs a qualitative approach, focusing on a case study within the Islamic Religious Education Undergraduate Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Data collection techniques include interviews with lecturers and the head of study programs, observation of learning activities, documentation of RPS, Google Classroom, and publication of results to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of research-based learning. Data validity testing involves triangulating sources, methods, and conducting member checks to ensure data credibility. Data analysis using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models involves condensation, data display, and conclusion. The research learning model for the Islamic Education Philosophy course consists of five steps: downloading 20 journals; creating a research model canvas (RMC) research guideline; collecting data, compiling research articles, and submitting articles; peer review and mind-mapping of research results; and publishing articles and evaluating lectures. The theoretical implications of the research-based learning model are the development of students' critical and analytical thinking skills. In contrast, the practical consequences include enhancing research and publication skills, as well as contributing to the advancement of Islamic education science. This study describes a learning model that enhances students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Education Philosophy by addressing philosophical challenges and traditional, monotonous learning methods. This model contributes to the development of Islamic education science and students' research skills.

Islamic education cannot be separated from cultural values. Especially in Indonesia, an archipelagic country consisting of more than 17,000 islands and inhabited by around 255 million people. The number indicates that cultural, ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity must be found in Indonesia. This diversity is a characteristic as well as a valuable asset that must be cared for, fostered, protected and preserved. One attempt to maintain culture can be pursued through education. The relationship between Islamic education and Indonesian culture is like a currency coin that must synergize and strengthen each other, because education is actually a cultural process. The importance of Islamic religious and cultural education is contained in the Law on the National Education System (No. 20/2003) which states that education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and process so that students actively develop their potential, to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, society, nation and state. This journal will discuss the relevance between Islamic education and culture. The research was conducted using the library research method. The results of the study show that Islamic religious education and Indonesian culture have a very significant and inseparable relevance. Islamic Religious Education must be able to lay a moral, ethical, and spiritual foundation for the development of Indonesia, which has a diverse cultural background.

LEARNING MODELS THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) AND TWO STAY TWO STRAY (TSTS) IN IMPROVING STUDENT BIOLOGY LEARNING OUTCOMESThis research is a class action research. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of biological material, viruses and protists. The study was conducted in September-November 2018 in class X SMAN 1 Caringin 2018/2019 school year with a total of 36 students. The action research process is carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages namely planning, implementing, observing / observing and reflecting. The end of each cycle is carried out tests with instruments that have been validated and tested for reliability. This research involves researchers, observers and the object under study. Based on observations before the research was conducted, the value of student learning outcomes in the last 2 years which reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) was only 58.53% and 53.66% after classroom action research using the Think Talk Write (TTW) and Two models Stay Two Stray (TSTS), the value of the Biology learning outcomes of students in cycle I was 72.22% and increased to 82.93% in cycle 2. The attitudes learning outcomes after taking action in cycle I attitudes learning outcomes increased by an average of an average of 74.83 with a percentage of 69.44%, in cycle 2 attitudes learning outcomes increased to 77.67 with a percentage of attainment attitudes 78.05%. The results of learning skills in cycle 1 reached 74.92 with a percentage of achieving 80.55% skills, in cycle 2 the results of learning skills increased to 78.02 with a percentage of achievement of 86.11%. Based on the results achieved, this study produces the conclusion that by using Think Talk Write (TTW) and Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Learning Models can Improve Biological Learning Outcomes of Grade X students of SMAN 1 Caringin.

The objective of this paper is to utilize a mixer methodology, which consists of two parts: a literature review and field studies. The theme of this paper is Islamic Education Cultural Management, and it discusses the history, conception, and management of transformative Islamic education actualization. There are three critical questions addressed in this paper. First, what does the concept of Cultural Management of Islamic Education in Islam entail Second, what is the history and conception of Islamic religious education management, Islam, and transformative culture in Indonesia. Third, what is the contribution of Islamic education management in a transformative Islamic culture in the Islamic education space in Indonesia, where teacher supervision is an integral process. Additionally, culture is an essential part of the local community and cannot be separated from the community's language. The transmission of culture, often referred to as local knowledge, is commonly achieved through the oral retelling of stories across generations. Islamic religious education is founded on principles of truth and nobility, advocating for the rejection of fictitious notions and the avoidance of inappropriate conduct or influence. The significance of Islamic religious leadership education lies in the ease with which it instills moral values and ethics, while also addressing the emotional and cognitive realms of the human experience. Furthermore, this education must be integrated with the cultural and touristic aspects of a region in a cohesive and synchronized manner, while staying true to the unique characteristics of the area.

The critical thinking skill is one of the high-level thinking skills needed by students in the teaching and learning process. This research aimed to determine the effect of Think Talk Write (TTW) based picture cards on students’ critical thinking skills of class VIII on human digestive system material in SMP Negeri 6 Ketungau Tengah. The research was a quantitative approach using the quasi-experimental design. The populations were all eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Ketungau Tengah consisting of 41 students. The samples were VIII A class total of 22 students for the experimental class and VIII B class total of 19 students for the control class. Instruments used essay questions to measure critical thinking skills. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis using the t-test. The descriptive analysis results in the TTW learning model showed that there was an increase in the mean value of students' critical thinking skills from pre-test to post-test by 66.34% and the conventional learning by 33.30%. The results of the inferential analysis show that there is a significant learning effect on students' critical thinking skills (p: 0,000 < 0.05). The mean value of the TTW learning model is better than the conventional learning. It is recommended that teachers be able to implement the TTW learning model based on picture cards in science learning to improve students' critical thinking skills.

This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of gender perspectives and environmental values ??in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in madrasas. Issues of gender inequality and ecological damage are contemporary challenges that demand a response in Islamic education that remains relevant and contextual. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that gender integration in PAI has begun to be seen through increased teacher understanding of the principle of equality in Islam and efforts to present representation of female figures in learning materials. However, patriarchal bias is still apparent in practices and teaching materials, so a more systematic strengthening of gender perspectives is needed. In the environmental aspect, madrasas have implemented ecological programs such as Clean Friday, waste banks, reforestation, and energy saving campaigns. Ecological values ??are integrated through the concept of khalifah fil-ardh, environmental fiqh, and the habituation of worship oriented towards nature conservation. The integrative learning strategies implemented by teachers include an integrative thematic approach, project-based learning, reflection (contemplation and reflection), and role models (uswah hasanah) which have been proven effective in increasing gender literacy, ecological awareness, strengthening social morals, and developing 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Students have an unfavorable perception of Islamic Religious Education as an academic subject taught in institutions. Islamic Religious Education is often associated with the notion that these lessons consist mainly of boring lecture-based teaching. The lecture approach, consisting mostly of verses from the Koran and Hadith in Arabic, often prevents students from actively participating in the lesson material. Therefore, researchers attempt to eliminate this negative connotation by applying the Dick and Carey model in the context of Islamic Religious Education, with special emphasis on the subject of "Al-Quran Inspiration for Environmental Conservation." This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the Dick and Carey Model in the context of learning Islamic Religious Education at the Middle School level. The Dick and Carey model was chosen because it is considered to be able to improve the current Islamic Religious Education learning model through ten methodical stages designed to improve the quality of learning in the classroom. The model mentioned above shows methodical attributes, which include the stages of developing learning outcomes, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance. This research uses a qualitative research approach, collecting information through interviews and observations. The research results show that the application of the Dick and Carey model effectively improves the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning, especially regarding "Quranic Inspiration for Environmental Conservation." The results of this research provide positive implications for the development of Islamic Religious Education learning strategies in junior high schools. The Dick and Carey model can be used as a reference for educators to design more structured and effective learning plans, by adapting the stages of the model to the context of religious education. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) and analyze its contribution to enhancing students' critical thinking skills at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the subjects consisting of an IRE teacher and fifth-grade students at MI Al-Hikmah, South Sumatra. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model effectively increases student engagement and participation in the learning process. Students become more reflective, critical, and collaborative when faced with issues related to religious values and daily life. The teacher observed positive changes in class dynamics, including improvements in students' ability to analyze problems, develop arguments, and formulate rational and Islamic solutions. However, some challenges were also identified, such as the limited time for learning and the varying levels of critical thinking ability among students. Overall, this study concludes that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in IRE learning. Problem Based Learning (PBL) provides a contextual, innovative, and religious approach, which helps develop a critical Islamic thinking character from an early age. Therefore, this model can serve as an effective alternative teaching strategy in Islamic religious education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.

The purpose of this research is to find out the assessment of the results of the study of Islamic religious education by applying a cooperative model of Make a Match type in students of Grade VIII SMPN 3 Bati-Bati subdistrict of Bati-Bati of Tanah Laut Regency and to know the implementation of a cooperative learning model of Make a MACTH in Islamic religious education. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a type of action class research participant. The subject in this study was all students of grade VIII SMPN 3 Bati-Bati. While the object in this study is improved assessment of learning outcomes and the process of implementing cooperative learning model type Make a Match. Based on the results of the research, it is noted that through the implementation of the type of cooperative learning model of Make a Match can improve the assessment of learning outcomes of Islamic education in grade VIII students SMPN 3 Bati-Bati. This can be known from the successful research indicators that are qualitative indicators and quantitative indicators. The process of applying a cooperative learning model of the Make a Match type in Islamic religious education in grade VIII students SMPN 3 Bati-Bati runs effectively and efficiently according to the steps specified. This is evident from the increasing active students in following the learning process of Islamic religious education. This research aims to found out: (1) the students’ Indonesian grade use Think Talk Write (TTW) better compared than the students’ Indonesian grade use Cooperative Learning method, (2) the students’ Indonesian grade by high self efficacy development compared with moderate self efficacy development, the students’ Indonesian grade by high self efficacy development compared with low self efficacy development, and the students’ Indonesian grade by moderate self efficacy development compared with low self efficacy development, (3) is there an interaction between Think Talk Write (TTW) method and Conventional learning method about the students’ self efficacy development on the increase of Indonesian’s grade . The type of this research is quasi experimental with design factorial of 2 x 3. The population in this research were all students in the third grade of SD Negeri Mekarasih of Cihampelas Subdistrict of Bandung Barat Regency selected by chosen without random assignment into III B as the experiment class and III A as control class. The data of questionnaires result and tests of Indonesian are analyzed by using the test of analyze two way anova with Microsoft Excel 2016. Base on the founded data analyze, the research points are identified as follows: First, the test result of datas mean there are differences between Think Talk Write (TTW) method and Cooperative Learning method about the Indonesian’s grade, then the decision is learning Indonesian using Think Talk Write (TTW) method gives better influence than learning Indonesian using Conventional learning method. Second, the test result of datas give explanation that there are differences comprehention between students’ self efficacy categories development and Indonesian’s grade. This is because the tests result show that there are the differences Indonesian learning ability between students’ high self efficacy, students’ moderate self efficacy, and students’ low self efficacy. The students’ high self efficacy development has understanding ability of Indonesian better than students’ moderate self efficacy developments. Third, the test result of datas give explanation that there is no interaction between Cooperative Learning method and students’ self efficacy categories development about the Indonesian’s grade.

Islamic education is a planned effort in preparing people to recognize, understand, appreciate, and believe in the teachings of Islam accompanied by demands to respect other religions in inter-religious relations to create national unity and integrity. Madrasah Diniyah Ulya is a non-formal Islamic religious education unit that provides Islamic religious education as a complement for high school/vocational/MA/equivalent students or children of the same educational age who have not attended formal education. This level is taken in 2 (two) years with a minimum study time of 18 students a week with a duration of 45 minutes per lesson hour. The purpose of Madrasah Diniyah Ulya is to develop, expand and deepen the Islamic religious education obtained for students to develop their lives, fostering students to have experience, knowledge, worship skills, commendable traits, attitudes and behaviors that are useful for personal development, fostering students to have the ability to carry out their life duties in society and to be devoted to Allah SWT in order to achieve happiness in the world and the hereafter, and prepare students for can attend Islamic religious education at higher educational institutions. Islamic Education Materials at Madrasah Diniyah Ulya consist of moral formation which is carried out with knowledge (understanding), charity (habituation) and exemplary (uswatun hasanah). The books that are often used as references or handbooks in madrasah diniyah, are almost entirely in Arabic or Arabic books combined with regional languages, such as Javanese (kitab beard).The Ulya Madrasah Diniyah Education Model can be developed from several components including: institutions, management, teachers and education staff, students, funding, infrastructure, curriculum, learning, learning evaluation, and supervision, monitoring, evaluation and reporting as well as maintaining the existence of madrasah diniyah. The background of the problem in this study is the relatively low learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education for class X students of SMK Walisongo 2 Depok, which is shown from the learning outcomes of students who are still under the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The aims of this study were (1) to determine the increase in student learning outcomes class X SMK Walisongo 2 Depok on PAI subjects which are taught using the lecture method (2) To find out the increase in student learning outcomes of class X SMK Walisongo 2 Depok on PAI subjects which are taught using the Group Investigation method. (3) To find out whether there is a significant difference in improving the learning outcomes of class X students of SMK Walisongo 2 Depok in PAI subjects between classes taught using the Lecture Method and classes taught using the Group Investigation Method. This study used a quasi-experimental approach with a control group pretest-posttest design. The participants in this study were 66 students of SMK Walisongo 2 Depok, class X, with class X AKL as the experimental class for learning with the Group Investigation Method and class X OTKP 2 as the control class. The results showed that: (1) the level of student learning outcomes in the control class There was an increase in PAI learning outcomes of 25.6 (55.17%). (2) class student learning outcomes. increase in Islamic education learning outcomes for class X students at Walisongo 2 Vocational School Depok between classes taught using the lecture method and classes taught using the Group Investigation method. So it can be concluded that the group investigation method has a fairly effective role in improving the learning outcomes of class X PAI at SMK Walisongo 2 Depok.

This narrative review explores the integration of multicultural values within Islamic education in public schools, focusing on how inclusive practices contribute to tolerance and social harmony. The study aims to analyze existing literature on the topic and evaluate the effectiveness of pedagogical and institutional strategies. A systematic search was conducted across Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar using relevant keywords such as "multicultural Islamic education" and "inclusivity in Islamic education." Studies were selected based on relevance, quality, and empirical depth. The results highlight four main themes: curriculum integration, the roles of teachers and leadership, effective teaching strategies, and barriers to implementation. Schools that integrate inclusive values into Islamic education foster students' empathy, tolerance, and interfaith understanding. Teachers and school leaders are key facilitators, while project-based learning and interactive media prove effective in promoting multicultural awareness. However, systemic challenges such as policy gaps, limited teacher training, and community resistance persist. Local contexts significantly influence implementation, indicating a need for adaptable and context-sensitive strategies. The findings suggest that strengthening teacher training, aligning national and local policies, and involving community stakeholders are critical for advancing multicultural Islamic education. These insights offer valuable guidance for future research and educational reforms aimed at building inclusive, pluralistic societies through Islamic schooling.
