Urgency Using The RUP Method in Developing Information System Disdukcpil Services, Subang District

The development of education today cannot be separated from the development of science and technology. The world of education is required to always move along with the development of global technology. Massive open online course Is a learning model aimed at all people without limits and have open access through the web or can be interpreted as a large-scale online course where all participants can share open educational resources. Based on the above needs, the right solution for application development is to use microservices architecture. Ce microservice architecture can overcome great complexity because, each application feature will be divided into small parts. The application development method used is rational unified process method as one of the software development methods that give focus to software architecture.

e-Tendering is an electronic processing of the tender document via internet and allow tenderer to publish, communicate, access, receive and submit all tender related information and documentation via internet.This study aims to design the e-Tendering system using Rational Unified Process approach.RUP provides a disciplined approach on how to assign tasks and responsibilities within the software development process. RUP has four phases that can assist researchers to adjust the requirements of various projects with different scope, problem and the size of projects. RUP is characterized as a use case driven, architecture centered, iterative and incremental process model. However the scope of this study only focusing on Inception and Elaboration phases as step to develop the model and perform only three of nine workflows (business modeling, requirements, analysis and design). RUP has a strong focus on documents and the activities in the inception and elaboration phases mainly concern the creation of diagrams and writing of textual descriptions. The UML notation and the software program, Star UML are used to support the design of e-Tendering. The e-Tendering design based on the RUP approach can contribute to e-Tendering developers and researchers in e-Tendering domain.In addition, this study also shows that the RUP is one of the best system development methodology that can be used as one of the research methodology in Software Engineering domain related to secured design of any observed application.This methodology has been tested in various studies in certain domains, such as in Simulation-based Decision Support, Security Requirement Engineering, Business Modeling and Secure System Requirement, and so forth.As a conclusion, these studies showed that the RUP one of a good research methodology that can be adapted in any Software Engineering (SE) research domain that required a few artifacts to be generated such as use case modeling, misuse case modeling, activity diagram, and initial class diagram from a list of requirements as identified earlier by the SE researchers

Health care systems are known to be complex and difficult to analyse. Unified Modelling Language (UML) tools have been extensively used to analyse complex systems in several domains, including health care. However, the utility of UML tools in the mapping of care processes has not been demonstrated. This paper reports on the findings of a project that employed UML tools to map the entire care process for patients presenting with symptoms of fractured neck of femur to an acute care hospital in the UK. We employed the UML activity diagram to capture the sequence and conditions of the progress of patients through care activities from a care-system perspective, use case to detail the function performed by each care activity depicted in the activity diagram, and use UML state diagram to capture the dynamic behaviour of patients by depicting states and transition specifications from a patient's perspective. We argue that UML tools can be beneficially employed in the mapping of care processes and to create an information library with the results of such mapping. We also argue that the process mapping method presented here can be used as a basis to develop requirements for simulation models of the flow of patients through the care process.

This research focuses on helping Laundry Kilometer 28 in recording cash in and cash out transactions which are still manual so it is not efficient because of the increase in customers. Researchers conducted an analysis using the PIECES method to find out how the system is running, what are the system deficiencies and what the system needs. The researcher designed a system for recording incoming and outgoing cash at Laundry Kilometer 28 using the waterfall method with UML (Unified Modeling Language) tools. Methods of data collection in the form of interviews and direct observation to analyze the Kilometer 28 Laundry business process to owners, cashiers and regular customers. The results of this study are system design with use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams and sequence diagrams compiled with draw.io, Microsoft Visio Drawing which is then visualized for its interface with Microsoft Power Point.

Nowadays the role and the importance of information in promotion of organizations is obvious for everyone. Business enterprises and organizations need more complete, right and comprehensive information than before in order to keep and improve their ranking among their competitors. So, business managers would tend to establish Information Technology (IT) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems. As a result, information and supporting process, information processing facilities, networks and communication channels are the most valuable assets of an organization and business enterprise. As far as old business enterprises are not service oriented, these organizations can be adapted to the new service oriented technologies very hard and have led IT and ICT consultant to face very complex problems. ISRUP (Information Systems based on RUP) framework derived from Zachman enterprise architecture tries to provide a service oriented architecture for business enterprises in order to converge E-Business, ECommerce and E-Government through just leveraging by E-Services using UML (Unified Modeling Language), RUP (Rational Unified Process) terminology. ISRUP enterprise framework consists of 5 views, 8 models and 40 enterprise patterns. In this paper, we are going to suggest the artifacts of {Architect@Place} enterprise pattern which describes design and implementation of security in hardware and software components from architect's view with inspiration from ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 standards.

Rapid change and growth of technology such as automatization and computerization in many types of business according to information technology communities and practitioners are demanding us to be well-prepared in facing the evolution like mobile devices especially android. Android is a mobile operating system used for touch screen based smart phones and computer tablets. The strength of GPS based android devices is in making it easy for users to access many kinds of information of tourist destinations consisting all facilities around the places. The development of this android based application is using Java Android programming language and designed by using RUP (Rational Unified Process) as the development method with Unified Modelling Language (UML) concept. The purpose of this research is to produce a Geographic Application for tourist guidance in Palembang city containing tourist objects list, public places list, transportations list, culinary places list and also other features that will help tourists to find the most effective and efficient tourist destinations. The Rasch Model measurements uses 74 respondents, to test the data using the Rasch Model measurements with the Ministep application. In the aspect of reliability, for person reliability the value is 0.89.0.90, producing a very good value. While for reliability items the value is 0.82 and 0.84 produces a good value. while the Cronbach alpha index also produces a Cronbach Alpha value yields a value of 0.93 (produces a very good value). Determination of sample size uses the Item Measure table based on the accuracy of confidence measurements (95%).

Many people are interested to this snake not only for hobby but also for business. The snake lovers and breeders have already successes to cultivate this snake in normal cultivation. Then, many snake lovers want to develop their cultivation by crossing the gen morph is one of the result. Morph is a new kind of snake that has different colour and shade from albino. Technology development in smart phone, such as BlackBerry, Android and iPhone gives so many information for the users. Because of that, the researcher is interested to make an application or software to help the snake lovers and breeders of phyton molurus bivittatus to know the result of genetic crosses. The purpose of this research is to build an information system in application mobile for the snake lovers and breeders nedd. Research method used in this research is Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Unified Modeling Language (UML) for the modeling language. The result of this research has been successful to built an application of information system that can give the information about the genetic crosses of phyton molurus bivittatus based on the pretension. Unified Modeling Language (UML) plays an important role in the modern software development process by offering standardized methods for visual modeling, analysis, and design of complex systems. This paper discusses the main aspects of storing, editing, and integrating UML documents with integrated development environments (IDEs). The main focus is on comparing the two main formats for storing UML models – XML Metadata Interchange (XMI) and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). XMI, being an official standard developed by Object Management Group, provides a high degree of detail and compatibility with various UML tools, making it preferable for large and complex projects that require support for the full UML specification. At the same time, JSON is simple and flexible, which makes it suitable for projects where speed of development and ease of integration are important, although it is inferior to XMI in describing complex aspects of UML models. The paper analyzes in detail the methods of editing UML documents, including manual editing and automated approaches, using APIs and scripts. Manual editing is useful when you need to make small changes to the structure of a UML document, but it can be time-consuming and error-prone when working with large projects. Automation, on the other hand, provides effective tools for mass editing and generating UML elements, which significantly speeds up development and minimizes the likelihood of errors, especially since modern tools such as StarUML offer the necessary tools for programmatically modifying UML documents by integrating them into development processes. Combining of UML documents with integrated development environments also plays a key role in increasing development efficiency, as this allows automating code generation based on UML models, maintaining synchronization between code and diagrams, and facilitating visualization and documentation of architectural solutions. Despite the significant advantages, there are challenges associated with limited support for all UML features and potential conflicts between models and code. This only emphasizes the need for further research in this area. Prospects for further research include the development of new methods and tools for working with UML documents, improving their integration with development environments, and using artificial intelligence to automate the analysis and design of UML models. Attention should also be paid to the using of UML with continuous integration processes, which can significantly increase the flexibility and adaptability of software development. Thus, the study of the structure of storing, editing, and integrating UML documents is an important area for optimizing the design and development of modern software systems.

Alumni tracer study is a search for alumni to find information through filling out questionnaires that are useful for the purpose of improving the curriculum and educational process. This research is to identify the competency profile of alumni, while at SMP KARYA PEMBANGUNAN MARGAHAYU, to provide input on improving the quality of learning according to the demands of the school sector. The absence of a centralized system for collecting data on alumni at KARYA PEMBANGUNAN SMP MARGAHAYU makes it difficult for the administration to obtain accurate information from alumni. An information system is needed as a liaison between administration and graduates by implementing this information system that is able to provide information from alumni quickly, accurately and upto-date. RUP (RATIONAL UNIFIED PROCESS) Algorithm as a system development method and My SQL as database tools. Produce an alumni track record information system that can be an administrative aid in increasing effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of tracer study activities as well as displaying actual information in the form of alumni data reports and tracer studies quickly and accurately.

Los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) constituyen un apoyo importante para el análisis y solución de problemas en áreas, como: salud, hidrología, ingeniería y gestión territorial, entre otras. El desarrollo metodológico de los SIG no incluye especificaciones propias; por el contrario, son propuestas modificadas de otros métodos, que contienen los mismos productos de trabajo, actividades y recursos de los métodos tradicionales de desarrollo, tales como el Rational Unified Process (RUP). Uno de esos métodos es del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi (IGAC). Semat (Teoría y Métodos de la Ingeniería de Software) es una iniciativa que ayuda a capturar elementos esenciales y comunes, universales a todos los esfuerzos de desarrollo de software. En busca de las especificaciones propias de los métodos de desarrollo de SIGs, en este artículo se propone una representación basada en el núcleo de Semat del método IGAC para identificar la relación con el método tradicional Proceso Unificado de Racional (RUP). Con esta representación es posible determinar las prácticas asociadas con el método IGAC que se heredan de los métodos tradicionales.

Several organizations nowadays are not particularly comfortable with their internal structuring based on a hierarchical arrangement (sub-divided in departments), where collaborators with a limited view of the overall organization perform theiractivities. Those organizations recognize the need to move to a model where multi-skilled teams run horizontal business processes that cross the organization and impact suppliers and clients. To develop software systems for any organization, the development process must always be appropriate and controlled. Additionally, for organizations that want to migrate to a horizontal business processes view, it is required to model the organizational platform where the organizational processes will run. This necessity is also true when the organization under consideration is a software house. In this chapter, a proposal of a generic framework for process-oriented software houses is presented. The way of managing the process model and the instantiation of their processes with the rational unified process (RUP) disciplines, whenever they are available or with other kind of processes, is recommended as a way to control and define the software development process. To illustrate the usefulness of the proposal, the chapter presents how the generic reference framework was executed in a real project called “Premium Wage” and shows, in some detail, the created artifacts (which include several UML models) during the development phases following the RUP disciplines, especially the artifacts produced for business modeling.

Sinar Jaya Paint Shop is a retail establishment that offers a diverse range of Duco paint products, including automotive paint, motorcycle paint, thinner, putty, jump on, and other related supplies. The shop owner must document all financial transactions, both incoming and outgoing. Sinar Jaya Paint Shop employs manual recording methods by documenting entries in a ledger, resulting in prolonged durations for both calculations and reporting. Consequently, the researcher intends to develop a web-based cash flow information system for cash receipts and disbursements at Sinar Jaya Paint Shop. The researcher employed a descriptive methodology in this investigation. This descriptive approach is categorized into three methods: the observational method, the literature review method, and the interview method. This study employs the Rational Unified Process (RUP) as its system development methodology. RUP is an iterative software development process framework established by Rational Software, a part of IBM, in 2003. RUP is a software development methodology for object-oriented models.

Building on a socio-technical perspective, four types of integration were identified and analyzed: external and internal stakeholder integration, and internal and external technical integration. A longitudinal case study of an e-business development project in the airline industry identified and highlighted some managerial challenges of integration. Findings include: Internal technical and (to some extent) stakeholder integration is well supported by traditional project management techniques and software engineering frameworks, such as the Rational Unified Process (RUP). However, the challenges of external stakeholder and technical integration is underrated in IS development research, and not well supported in RUP.

Asset management is the management of asset data by grouping assets based on groups or recording assets in detail with the aim of organizing asset data so that they are well organized. Asset management in Serang City Village still uses conventional methods, especially asset management data collection in Sumur Pecung Village where the data collection still has several shortcomings and problems such as not explaining the layout of assets in detail, the layout of the location of assets, causing loss of one of the assets, the existence of duplicate data, lack of detailed information and poor data collection, namely data that is not integrated by inspectorate employees, especially every asset inspection report by inspectorate employees is not the same in writing this report format. This study aims to create an asset management information system by reducing problems that still use conventional methods. The data collection methods used are interviews, observation, and documentation to obtain accurate data. The software development used is the Waterfall model which is part of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, integration and testing. Business process modeling uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) with Use Case Diagram models, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams. This information system which will later become a webbased application, was built using the Laravel Framework and several programming languages such as PHP, Java Script, CSS and MYSQL database. With this application, it can reduce asset management problems in Sumur Pecung Village in its data collection.
