The research content of this paper is to design a push system for an Aluminium tube to be cut on the cutting machine. The system consists of one driving pulley, one idler pulley, and a timing belt. The stepper motor will drive the pulley and the stopper attached to a timing belt will push the Aluminium tube further. This paper describes the process of developing a push system using a stepper motor driver, membrane keypad, Nokia LCD, and a microcontroller board. Different types of stepping mode and the formula for the number of pulses to be sent to a stepper motor are derived and tested. The result of the paper shows that a stepper motor along with the electronic components improves accuracy for a push application and can be used.

Step motors are widely used in motion control systems. The step motor controller must perform high-precision positioning and smooth movement operation. In motion systems applying velocity profile control, the velocity of the motor gradually increases or decreases, to avoid the negative effect caused by the sudden change in velocity. Previous research proposes several step motor controller designs, that contain several modules, including a velocity profile generator, step motor driver, and feedback counter. These controllers are able to perform precise positioning and provide smooth motion operation. However, because these controllers operate in an open-loop control so the synchronous condition can be lost when disturbances in load torque exist. This paper presents the application of closed-loop control in the step motor controller. The control algorithm is based on two mode operations: open-loop and closed-loop. The controller operates in open-loop mode when it remains synchronized, and switches to closed-loop mode when it loses synchronization. This paper presents an algorithm for generating various velocity profiles and closed-loop control algorithms. The experiment is performed on a 16-b DSP, to verify the performance of the design. The experimental results show a velocity profile of unsymmetrical shape and demonstrate effective closed-loop control in an actual step motor system

An inverted microscope is designed to have a stage in which the specimens can be placed for microscopy. Most of the biological microscope is built in with static or manual adjustable stage which cannot provide consistent and precise adjustment to move the specimen during microscopy. As an add-on to the microscope stage, the existing motorized 2-axis linear stage in the market is bulky and heavy. Therefore, a lightweight and joystick controllable bipolar stepper motor X-Y translational stage was proposed to solve the problem. In our design, the joystick functions to provide input signals to the Arduino Mega microcontroller in order to control the position of the X-Y translational stage. For the X-Y translational stage, the stepper motors of a pair of the linear slides were driven by a micro stepping motor driver with full scale drive signal to provide controllable stepping movement. It was found that full scale drive signals could support higher resolution of movement at 99 + 13 µm. The overall X-Y translational stage weighted approximately 700 g. As a conclusion, the light weight stepper motor based X-Y translational stage allows the user to move the specimen in a small stepping size during microscopy.

This paper is about a wheel chair controlled by voice command developed to help the physically challenged people. The physically challenged person as user can control the wheel chair by voice commands such as forward, reverse etc. ‘Julian’ a grammar based recognizer is used in this system. The basic commands, the short motion command and the command of verification are the three commands given to the system. Julian has successful recognition rate of 98% of commands given to it based on the studies and experiments conducted. Patients and physically challenged people are depending on others while moving on wheel chair hence they do not have freedom in motion. This voice command controlled wheel chair provides freedom of motion to patients and physically challenged to be independent on movement to the respective places. Arduino control the motor by motor driver based on the commands processed by the voice recognition module. This voice command controlled wheel chair provides motion on the patient or physically challenged people voice. Gyroscopic sensor is used to maintain the level straight of the wheel chair when the person travelling in the slope it prevents the person to feel off from the chair which is operated by servo motor.

Background of the study: The theme of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and specifically the fields of Biomechanics and Kinesiology has been an important, robust and timely segment, both in academic literature, as well as in technical and even business literature.Theoretical contributions: From classical thinkers to contemporary researchers, this theme has been explored, providing contributions to different literatures, notably in the fields of health, industry and sport.Objective: To develop the compaction of all components of the prosthesis such as protobord plates, Arduino plate, obtaining the technology intended for the optimal functioning of the organ, for the comfort and well-being of the wearer.Materials and methods: The compaction of all components was developed as plates suitable for Biomechanics and Kinesiology, servo motors and microcontrollers that were used for the prosthesis operation, via 3D printer.Results: The prosthesis was manufactured in a 3D printer with PLA filament, showing good resistance, allowing great durability of the material. The 3D project was developed by parts and printed individually and all programming of movements and voice command was developed on Arduino Uno® platform and servo motors. Subsequently transferred to Arduino Nano® reducing the size of the components and electronic circuits located in the forearm.Contributions to knowledge: The work made it possible to contribute to the advancement of technological knowledge in this area.Practical Contributions: The prosthesis has demonstrated its biomechanical and kinesiological viability, allowing the development of new technologies for industry and new businesses, as well as contributing to the well-being and comfort of people.

Created a tool to increase Love Bird production so that farmers do not have to worry about the condition of the Love Bird bird if there is noise that will disrupt the bird while laying eggs.This research was conducted by making a detection device to provide information on the status of noise intensity through Android.Thus it can prevent the Love Bird from being stressed when incubating its eggs, the effect is that if the Love Bird sires are disturbed by sound, they will lay eggs outside their cages "glodok", or they will not incubate their eggs.Therefore the breeders must protect the Love Bird from sudden noise.This tool will detect outdoor noise in the enclosure, the sound sensor uses an analog sound sensor v2. This sensor will send data to the Arduino microcontroller. Then the Arduino microcontroller will process the data according to the program that has been made. Data that has been processed by the Arduino microcontroller will turn on the incandescent lamp, turn on the dc fan, send information to the android that there has been noise, and move the servo motor to close the window, so that noise does not enter the cage and disturb the laying birds. And also this tool can detect if the drum room is too hot then the dc fan lights up, and if the drum temperature is too cold it will turn on the incandescent lamp as a heater. In the application the user can see decibels at this time, and can see the history on what date and what time the noise has occurred. The main purpose of this paper is to present a novel idea that is based on design and development of an automatic solar tracker system that tracks the Sun's energy for maximum energy output achievement. In this paper, a novel automatic solar tracking system has been developed for small-scale solar energy system. The hardware part and programming part have been concurrently developed in order for the solar tracking system to be possible for it to operate accurately. Arduino Uno R3, Sensor Shield V4 Digital Analog Module, LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), MPU-6050 6DOF 3 Axis Gyroscope has been used for tracking the angular sun movement as shown in Fig. 1. Accelerometer, High-Efficiency Solar Panel, and Tower Pro MG90S Servo Motor have been used for the hardware part. High-level programming language has been embedded in the hardware to operate the tracking system effectively. The tracking system has shown significant improvement of energy delivery to solar panel comparing to the conventional method. All the results will be shown in the full paper. There are three contributions the research presented in this paper which are, i.e. perfect tracking system, the comparison between the static and tracking system and the development of Gyroscope angular movement system which tracks the angular movement of the sun along with another tracking system.

The Project “Cost-Effective Voice-Controlled Robotic Arm for People with Disabilities” will seek to construct a user-friendly aid that can help enhance the level of independence, as well as the quality of life of people with disabilities, more so individuals with amputation by birth. The robotic aid will be capable of executing a number of set operations that can be activated through a voice command issued through an Android smart phone. It will make use of highly sophisticated speech recognition technologies and will provide an easily manipulable interface. Fulfilling this goal will be the main concern of this project by providing a low cost option without sacrificing functionality and reliability. Due to employing inexpensive hardware parts and open source software, the robotic arm will give a practical approach to solving everyday chores. Major novel features that this project will be based on are affordability, ease of use, and the ability to be tailored to suit different use cases. Emphasis on using cheaper and more readily available hardware components and materials will guarantee that the total cost makes the robotic arm affordable to individuals as well as healthcare institutions. The incorporation of advanced speech recognition technology will allow the device to be operated in a hands-free manner making it multi functional for users with very restricted movement capabilities. Reliable, accurate, and affordable linear motion control systems for precision agriculture applications are currently not easily accessible due to their elevated cost. Most systems available to the public have price tags in the thousands of dollars and their dimensions cannot be easily customized. Current systems have a maximum length of about ten meters, and for a typical greenhouse application that length may not be sufficient. The price of the system increases with an increase in length, and with a base price in the thousands of dollars it becomes impractical to buy a system for such application. Our HyperRail is a modular linear motion system with a repeatability of 2 mm and current top speed of 200 mm/s. This is possible through a stepper motor driver that allows for 1/16th microstepping giving an average of 6180 steps per revolution. An advantage that this system has is its ability to increase or decrease the length of system with minimum effort and only nominal increase in price. The HyperRail can be mounted on a set of tripods or directly on the structure of a building such as a greenhouse. The base price for a three-meter system, on tripods is US$278 and only US$45 for each additional 1.5 m of length.

In order to solve the problems of fixed speed, single-way conveying, conveying speed and loom speed mismatch of knitting machine elastic belt conveying device, a design scheme of multi-line elastic band conveying control system based on I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) communication is proposed. The scheme realizes the real-time communication between the control host and the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal output slave through the I2C protocol communication of the master-slave MCU (Microcontroller Unit). The slave machine controls the stepper motor through the subdivision circuit and the drive circuit, and uses the stepping motor to speed up and down the differential. Algorithm and speed matching algorithm to realize multi-speed variable speed elastic belt conveyor control system with good speed matching. At the same time, because I2C protocol has easy scalability, it can realize multi-channel through bus analog communication and expansion between MCU I/O ports. delivery. Finally, by setting up simulation experiments, it is verified that the speed matching between the stepping motor and the knitting machine needle is better. When the stepping motor driver (TB6600) is 32 subdivided and the duty ratio of the PWM signal is 60%, the motor speed is stable, low vibration and noise. Along with population growth and urban development, the demand for clean water is increasing. Water reservoirs are an effective solution to this problem, by storing large amounts of water in specially designed tanks. Water reservoirs are one of the important components in the household water supply system. This study aims to make it easier for users to monitor the condition of the water in the reservoir. The tools used are arduino uno R3, green LED, yellow LED, red LED, ultrasonic distance sensor, DC motor, piezo, push button, and h-bridge motor driver. This system is designed using the prototype method, so that users can easily see real-time water levels via mobile devices.
