The objective of the present investigation consists in the analysis of the representation of the Egyptian in Cairo my love (2015), by Rafael Pardo Moreno. In this article I will emphasize the most outstanding features of his character, the general lines that mark his life are at a cultural, social, solidarity, human and political level under a totalitarian and oppressive regime that reflects the negative image of the heavy bureaucratic machine of the authorities and their malfunction during the last decade of the Mubarak mandate at the beginning of the 21st century. In this sense we will use as support the studies of Adela Cortina, Lucien Goldman, Oscar Tacca, Genette, W.J.T. Mitchell, Bobes Naves y Garrido Domínguez, among others. This article analyses uchronia in the digital age, focusing on how videogames and interactive narratives allow the user to actively participate in the creation of alternate worlds. Through examples of realistic, projective, and impossible uchronias, the paper examines the role of digital uchronia as an epistemological tool to challenge historical narratives and its impact on contemporary perceptions of history. It argues that digital uchronia, by allowing the user to manipulate and experiment with history, offers a space for critical reflection on the construction of historical knowledge and truth in the post-truth era.

The rise of the literatures of the rurality in Spain during the last decade has left us with a large number of texts, of a very varied nature, that share the location of actions in rural spaces. This article seeks to categorize them based on two movements: first, based on the relationship between the story and the space, that is, if the rural is problematized or if it is a mere backdrop; and, second, from the gaze and the effects that derive from it (violence, humor, memory, non-mimetic and realism).

Based on the narratological studies of Greimas, we analyse the space occupied by the actors and actants in Enrique Gil y Carrasco's El señor de Bembibre (1844), with the aim of unravelling the spatial construction of the play. The starting point, therefore, is a broad approach, in which the contributions of the spatial turn, and especially of literary geography, are also central, as well as historical questions related to the figure of the author, who comes to be understood as an autoethnographer of his region.

From a theoretical-critical perspective, this study intends, first, to dismantle the label that has been attached to El viaje vertical as a "conventional novel", and from this new vision, delve into the modernity/postmodernity dichotomy that divides critics when dealing with Vilamat's production, and thus claim a new analytical position: that of between-place or "tightrope walker writing", which endows El viaje vertical with the aesthetic category of “trompe l'oeil” and “border novel”.

I met him in 1971, and I saw him and dealt with him regularly from that year until shortly before his death: first, as his student during three courses at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Murcia; immediately after, because of my work in the Department of Spanish Literature of this center, which he directed.

Making a prologue or an introduction to a literary work is always something compromised and very difficult if we take into account that objectivity and impartiality must govern, as protective criteria, the actual making of what we could define as an "almost" genre. academic and, in some magnificent cases, in "almost" a literary genre, as occurred in the case of Professor Mariano Baquero Goyanes, who we could justifiably consider a Master of teachers if we stick to his great intellectual heritage distributed among beloved disciples who have become time turn into masters.
