Survey data on Families' perceptions of ed-tech corporations, educational digital platforms and children's rights

School closures in Nigeria during the Covid-19 pandemic left millions of students and lecturers dependent on online teaching and learning. Online teaching and learning are an unprecedented experience for most lecturers and students; consequently, there was then a limited experience with it. This study examined and evaluated the integration of Digital Learning Platforms into the teaching and learning of mathematics during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, it assesses the perception of both students and lecturers about the use of Digital Learning Platforms and their general rating of the effectiveness of the available digital platforms for mathematics teaching and learning processes. Simple random sampling procedure was used to select twenty (20) lecturers and hundred (100) undergraduate students from a federal government owned university in the Southwestern State of Nigeria. 
 The percentage was used to analyze the respondents’ demographic information while the Chi-Square was adopted to analyze the data. Results of the analysis of the formulated hypothesis indicated that two or more digital platforms were used by the lecturers to teach mathematics in post covid-19 pandemic and both Zoom and Google Meet are considered effective for mathematics teaching in post covid-19 pandemic. Also, lecturer’s digital skills are dependent of the integration of digital learning platforms in mathematics teaching and student’s academic engagement exposure is independent of digital learning in pre-and-post-covid era
 Based on the findings of the study, it was suggested that digital technologies may be included in mathematics curricula at various stages of education and education stakeholders should take advantage of the findings of this study to encourage lecturers to continue using technologies in mathematics teaching.

The article presents the technology of application of online learning platforms in electrical engineering education. The analysis of online learning platforms that provide courses for electrical engineers are presented. It is determined that the need to acquire professional competencies, to acquire informatization of education and the ability to work with external information resources, to gain experience from professional practitioners, to acquire skills in working with equipment and mechanisms determined the necessity of using the proposed technology. Selection of online learning platforms or their elements to supplement the study of engineering disciplines as well as selection of competencies according to the curriculum and consolidation of them according to tools, topics, modules, courses in the context of online learning platforms is conducted by tutors of specialized departments. It was outlined the theoretical and practical forms of learning and learning tools of the proposed technology. Application of online learning platforms in electrical engineering education can be realized on the basic, intermediate and advanced levels. Upon completion of the development of the presented technology, an experimental study was conducted, which included the identification of the appropriate level of use of application of online learning platforms in electrical engineering education. The obtained experimental results were verified using Pearson criterion. The result of the implementation of technology is application of the online learning platform in educational and professional activities for engineering students.

Digital platforms have a high potential for supporting learning processes, especially in higher education. However, there appears to be a limited systematic review of research on the application of digital platforms in higher education. Using a systematic approach, this study analyzes previous research on digital platforms and how these technologies assist university students in their studies and the challenges involved. Examining 76 relevant articles from Scopus, Emerald Insight, and ProQuest databases, the findings demonstrate that students' personal development could be accelerated by the practical application of technology through digital learning platforms. Furthermore, by utilizing digital channels, the COVID-19 epidemic has highlighted how crucial strategic management and flexibility are to the higher education sector. The study identified two main themes: digital platforms that support students’ learning and challenges associated with the deployment of digital platforms. Various unexplored areas on the use of digital platforms among university students are highlighted in the study. The review further recommends that higher education institutions offer digital literacy programs that educate students and faculty on using digital platforms, online privacy, and data protection.

The article considers digital educational services market development on the basis of digital platforms. Research subject: financial market digitalization. Research purpose: to develop theoretical provisions of digital educational services. Research methods. In the course of the research such methods as analysis, grouping, comparison, and synthesis have been used. Results: 1. A specific approach to the categories of “digital educational platform” and “digital educational ecosystem (ecosystem-based higher education)” is proposed. 2. The classification criteria of digital platforms are systematized on various grounds and the “operation scale” criterion was added to the digital educational platforms classification. 3. The current market state is characterized and the latest innovations in the digital educational services are reviewed. 4. Risks of the platform-based and ecosystem-based higher education models development are revealed. Scientific novelty: the authors’ specific approaches to the categories of “digital educational platform” and “digital educational ecosystem (ecosystem-based higher education)” are proposed, digital platforms classification criteria are systematized on various grounds, and the “functioning scale” criterion was added to the digital educational platforms classification.

In the context of the digital transformation of education, the development of digital literacy of future computer science teachers is becoming a priority, especially in terms of developing interactive educational content. This is necessary for effective learning of the material, stimulating the cognitive activity of students and developing their key competencies in the field of digital technologies. In the educational context, information interaction is organized through various modes, including intraactive (isolation), extraactive (passive transmission) and interactive. The interactive mode is characterized by two-way information flows involving an active dialogue between the student and the learning system. The organization of direct and reverse interactive interaction, when either the system or the student acts as the initiator of the exchange, plays a key role in shaping a dynamic educational trajectory. Mastering the methodology and principles of creating and using interactive resources is necessary to form the professional competence of a teacher who is able to effectively apply modern educational technologies. The article reveals the features of designing interactive educational content based on educational platforms (Digital educational content library, Yandex Uchebnik, 1C: Lesson, Udoba). The author's developments of interactive computer science tasks are presented: Drag and Drop Words, Find Words etc. Ready-made digital educational resources and platforms for developing your own interacttive educational material are presented. In the modern digital-oriented educational environment, the development of digital literacy of future computer science teachers, especially in terms of creating digital content, is a priority. This competence allows teachers to adapt existing resources, develop their own innovative materials, and actively involve students in the learning process, fostering professional autonomy and creativity.

Objectives: The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of faculty members at School of Sharia at Yarmouk University who had to resort to distance education during COVID-19 pandemic, specifically the problems they experienced and the strategies they used to cope with these problems. Methods: The research followed a descriptive-analytical approach. A questionnaire consisting of (38) items was prepared and distributed to the study sample, which contained (48) faculty members. Results: The results of the study reveal that the degree to which faculty members at School of Sharia at Yarmouk University exhibit ability to perform distance education was high. The arithmetic means of the research domains of the scale came out in the following order; the highest mean was for the domain of “electronic communication skills”, followed by the domain of "skills for using educational platforms". Then came the field of "internet use skills", followed by the field of "e-curriculum design skills". Conclusion: The research made several recommendations, most notably holding training courses for faculty members to master e-learning skills.

In modern conditions of development, digital platforms in small and medium-sized businesses began to be widely used during the development of Industry-4.0 globalization. Modern studies define digital platforms as an electronic environment that includes a general set (list) of goods and services with a corresponding digital configuration. Examples of digital platforms are: digital music platform "Spotify" or "iTunes", digital movie platform "Netflix", etc. The article established that from the point of view of the economy, digital platforms are auxiliary electronic environments (markets) on which sellers and buyers buy and sell goods. And digital entrepreneurship is also considered as the process of creating a new Internet business. In the process of research, it was established that thanks to the spread of digital platforms, entrepreneurs have opportunities to stimulate innovation to create new products or services. In the framework of Industry 4.0, globalization and digitalization have created some benefits for participants based on digital platforms. First of all, through digital platforms, manufacturers can assess buyers and end consumers without going through intermediaries. Also, digital platforms allow sellers to display their products in virtual shopping centers through a website, and consumers can view product information at a time and place convenient for them. It has been proven that small and medium-sized enterprises are one of the main engines of the modern economy, which contribute to the development of the country's economy, the creation of income, employment and innovation in various fields. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the key to economic growth and market competition in most developed economies due to their flexibility and ability to innovate. According to the results of the conducted research, it is confirmed that the use of digital tools and platforms helps small and medium-sized businesses to determine the right direction for improving the efficiency of small and medium-sized enterprises within the framework of Industry 4.0 and digitalization trends. After all, the activity of small and medium-sized business enterprises directly affects the total GDP of the country. Thus, the subject of further research is the study of factors that can increase the productivity of small and medium-sized business enterprises, which is important in determining the directions of the future development of small and medium-sized business enterprises. In addition, within the framework of Industry-4.0. SMEs must take advantage of globalization and digitalization to perform better and achieve greater competitive advantages.

ملخص الدراسة: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التوصل إلى نموذج تخطيطي لتعزيزمهارات المدافعة البيئية للشباب الجامعي, وتفرع من هذا الهدف الرئيسي عدة أهداف فرعية تتمثل في :‑ 1- قياس قدرة الشباب الجامعي علي الاتصال الفعال. 2- قياس قدرة الشباب الجامعي علي التفاوض. 3- قياس قدرة الشباب الجامعي علي التمثيل في التنظيمات البيئية. ومن أجل تحقيق هذه الأهداف تم بناء مقياس المدافعة البيئية للشباب الجامعي وزع على عينة عشوائية من طلاب وطالبات الفرقة الثالثة والفرقة الرابعة بکلية الخدمة الاجتماعية جامعة الفيوم , والبالغ عددهم (150) طالب وطالبة , وقد تم استخدام مجموعة من الاختبارات الإحصائية( معامل بيرسون- -الوسط الحسابي المرجح-الوزن المرجح – القوة النسبية) لاختبار الفرضيات وتحليل البيانات. وتوصلت الدراسة الي اهمية مشارکة الشباب الجامعي في مشروعات حماية البيئة بالمجتمع المحلي ، الي جانب اهمية تفعيل مشارکة الشباب الجامعي في الأنشطة الجامعية التي تدعم روح الانتماء والولاء لديهم ، و اهمية إبراز نماذج القدوة الحسنة في المجتمع للشباب الجامعي, الي جانب الاهتمام بمهارات المدافعة البيئية من خلال برامج علمية ممنهجة تمکنا من الحد من المشکلات البيئية التي تظهر علي الساحة. الکلمات الدالة: المدافعة البيئية-الحقوق البيئية - الشباب الجامعي. Abstract This study aimed to reach to a planning model to enhance the environmental advocacy skills of university youth, and from this main objective several sub-goals are divided into: 1- Measuring the ability of university youth to communicate effectively. 2- Measuring the ability of university youth to negotiate. 3- Measuring the ability of university youth to be represented in environmental organizations. In order to achieve these goals, the Environmental Defense Scale for University Youth was built and distributed to a random sample of male and female students in the third and fourth grades of the Faculty of Social Work, Fayoum University, who is about (150) male and female students, and a set of statistical tests was used (Pearson coefficient - - the middle Weighted arithmetic (weighted weight - relative strength) to test hypotheses and analyze data. The study found out the importance of university youth’s participation in environmental protection projects in the local community, in addition to the importance of activating university youth’s participation in university activities that support the spirit of belonging and loyalty in them, and the importance of highlighting role models in society for university youth, in addition to paying attention to environmental advocacy skills through Systematic scientific programs enable us to reduce the environmental problems that appear on the scene. Economic education nowadays is characterized by a growing trend to digitalization. The importance of e-learning in the educational system and the development of digital economy cannot be over-emphasized. A literature review results of some previous studies on e-learning from different parts of the world are presented. The paper is aimed at exploring the necessity and prospects of digital education and e-learning of foreign languages towards promoting best practices in higher education. It was discovered that effective communication between lecturers and students is enhanced through e-learning which has the potential to make learning more interesting, interactive and to be realized faster and more efficiently than existing learning methods. The study is focused on the role of digital technologies and educational platforms in teaching foreign languages at economic universities. The paper reflects real needs and priorities within foreign language teaching at the Saratov Socio-Economic Institute of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The aim of this article specifically is to focus on the role of digital technologies and educational platforms in teaching foreign languages at the economic universities. The main research methods are the analysis of scientific works concerning digital teaching. The investigation is carried on the basis of the educational platform Moodle. Results show that students are in general positively inclined towards e-learning and would be willing to take online courses. However, the majority of students do not want the full integration of Information Technology into the study process, meaning that the traditional learning methods combined with IT are preferred.

<p id=C6>According to object-based attention (OBA) theory, attention processes object as a unit. When attention is directed to a certain part of an object, the processing of other features of the object will be promoted. Object-based attention has been confirmed by many studies. However, most of the previous studies are based on static objects, and there are few studies on how object-based attention changes for dynamic objects. However, information in the real world is always changing, using dynamic objects for OBA research is more ecologically valid and necessary. For the attentional allocation of dynamic objects, there are two theoretical assumptions: the cued object hypothesis and the dynamic updating hypothesis. The cued object hypothesis proposes that object-based attention follows the original cued object, while the dynamic updating hypothesis assumes that object-based attention is determined by the changed object. The study of attention on dynamic objects also found the instantaneous object effect, which means the object-based attention follows the instantaneous object. We propose that experiments supporting the two theoretical hypotheses have differences in the experimental manipulation, which lead to changes in the relative strength between object representations of the cued object and the instantaneous object, resulting in the two seemingly contradictory points of view. As to whether attention is based on the cued object or the instantaneous object, we proposes that the relative strength between object representations of the cued and instantaneous objects plays a critical role. That is, when the cued object representation is stronger than the instantaneous object representation, the object-based attention follows the original cued object, vice versa. The concept of object representation strength is of great significance in OBA research. It is found that object representation strength can affect OBA, and stronger object representation can capture attention more easily. The factors that affect the object representation strength, such as the object presentation time, the factors that affect the surface consistency of an object (such as the object color, texture, continuous contour, etc.) and the top-down factors, will also indirectly affect OBA through affecting the object representation strength. For these reasons, introduces the concept of object representation strength to the discussion of the theory of attending dynamic objects is necessary, but previous studies did not pay attention to the effects of the object representation strength on dynamic objects. In this paper, we introduced the concept of relative object representation strength and analyze the attention theory based on dynamic objects and its experimental basis. This approach can further improve the attention theory based on dynamic objects, get a unified explanation for previous contradictory results, and explain the cause of the cued and instantaneous object effects from a new perspective. The concept of the relative strength of object representation may be critical for understanding how object-based attention is allocated under the circumstance of processing dynamic objects and resolving the conflict of related theories. At present, the research of attention based on dynamic objects mainly focuses on the determination of cued and instantaneous objects, ignoring the important role of relative object representation strength, and most of the results are compared by the reaction time. Further study could focus on the relative object representation strength to test the influence of the relative object representation strength on dynamic object-based attention and explore its underlying mechanisms. At the same time, since the OBA effect is small descriptively, the method of recording the reaction time may lead to replication issue for some results. More sensitive psychophysical methods can be used in future studies to obtain more stable and repeatable results and help to better clarify the mechanisms of the dynamic object theory.

Education in the twenty-first century cannot exist without technology. It has the power to change the classroom environment, which will raise student involvement and achievement. Additionally, it can offer educators and learners a range of learning materials that foster 21st-century abilities, including teamwork, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. The article aims to outline state-of-the-art, as well as existing concerns and challenges in the concept and practices of digital educational resources application within the landscape and processes of future teachers' training. The methodology implied bibliometric search and content analysis based on abductive logic. The findings indicate that the core factor determining lowering the scope and efficiency of digital technology usage by teachers is the lack of attention to alignment in the elements of their identity in the digital platforms used in pedagogical education, as well as the lack of alignment with the needs and preferences of potential students whom future teachers will work with. Thus, the study proposes a model of the process of designing the patterns of digital educational resources and platforms in the training of future teachers.

PurposeThis research aims to combine and extend the literature on the self-monitoring approach used by faculty members in online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model. The study also highlights the challenges faced by faculty members in online teaching.Design/methodology/approachBased on a mixed methodology approach, the primary data was obtained from the faculty members of the post-graduate business schools. This data enabled the measurement of self-monitoring adopted by the faculty members and the relationship of the factors by using the TAM model. Multivariate regression was adopted to study the relationships between the elements in the TAM model and faculty members’ self-monitoring. Secondly, a few exploratory questions were asked to the respondents about the challenges faced by them during online teaching.FindingsThe quantitative analysis conducted using multiple regression directed that the faculty’s contentment with any digital platform influenced their engagement, attention and participation while taking an online class as a part of the self-monitoring process. The perception of the technology platforms used for online teaching affected the faculty members’ self-monitoring dimensions: attention, participation and engagement. Based on the qualitative approach, the thematic analysis pointed out five major challenges for faculty members in conducting online classes: I.T. support, hesitation, interaction with peers and students, proficiency with an online platform and evaluation challenges.Research limitations/implicationsThis study was conducted during the complete lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic; many faculty members were initially trained to get familiarized with the online teaching platforms and educate students. Hence, this study enriches the literature on online teaching during pandemic times.Practical implicationsTo ensure that the faculty impacts quality online education and the students obtain the knowledge and skills required, faculty need to alter their pedagogy based on the technology they use to focus on their students’ teaching, learning and needs.Originality/valueThis study measures self-monitoring and its dimensions for faculty members, which is unique in nature. This was the first time the faculty members were imposed with the responsibility of online teaching and ensuring that the learning-teaching process was fruitful. This study has both-theoretical and practical implications as the paper focuses on various insights which can make online teaching-learning more effective.

هدفت الدراسة إلى : تحديد الإحتياجات المعرفية والتدريبية لطلاب الإعلام التربوى لتکنولوجيا الإعلام والتعليم الجديدة من وجهة نظرهم ، ووضع تصور مقترح لبرنامج تدريبى على هذه التکنولوجيا الجديدة . عينة الدراسة : تمثلت فى:طلاب قسم الإعلام التربوى بکلية التربية النوعية جامعة طنطا – وأعضاء هيئة التدريس بذات القسم – وأخصائى الإعلام التربوى بمحافظة الغربية العاملين بالمدارس الحکومية ) . أدوات ومناهج الدراسة : إستخدمت الدراسة إستمارة الإستبيان کأداه لجمع البيانات ، کما تم تصميم عدة مقاييس لقياس متغيرات الدراسة ، کما إعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفى بشقية الکمى والکيفى، وأسلوب المقارنة المنهجية . نتائج الدراسة : توصلت الدراسة لعدة نتائج ، أهمها ما يلى : عدم رضا الطلاب عن المقررات الدراسية الخاصة بتکنولوجيا الإعلام والتعليم والتدريب العملى لها بالقسم، وحاجتهم المعرفية والتدريبية لدراسة تکنولوجيا الإعلام والتعليم الجديدة فى ظل التطورات التکنولوجية وإحتياجات سوق العمل، کما جاء رأى کل من أعضاء هيئة التدريس وأخصائى الإعلام التربوى سلبيا تجاه مواد تکنولوجيا الإعلام والتعليم بالقسم ، وأکدوا على إحتياج الطلاب للتدريب على التکنولوجيا الجديدة فى الإعلام والتعليم ، تم تقديم مقترحات لتطوير وتحسين المناهج الدراسية بالقسم فى ضوء هذه التکنولوجيا، ووضع برنامج تدريبى مقترح يلبى إحتياجات الطلاب للتدريب على هذه التکنولوجيا الجديدة . the knowledge and training needs of students of educational media for new media and education technology in light of technological developments from their point of view An applied study Dr. Wafaa Elsayed Mohammed Salem Khedr* Abstract Aim of the work: this study aimed at determination of student’s educational and training needs for the new educational and media technology, from their point of view, and conceptualization of a training program to satisfy these needs. Sample of the study: this study included 72 male and female students from the department of educational media, Faculty of specific education Tanta University, 12 staff faculty of the same department, 16 educational media specialists from governmental schools Gharbiya Governorate, Egypt. Tools and methods: a questionnaire form was used to collect data, with specific design of a survey form for each category of the samples included I this study. The study used the descriptive survey (quantitative and qualitative) forms and methodological comparative approaches. Results: this study results were as follow: Unsatisfaction of the students with the educational and media technology study courses in the lights of technological developments and needs of labor market. The faculty members and the educational media specialists included in the study showed negative attitude to the study courses especially educational and media technology. They emphasized on necessity of department of educational media students needs to be trained for new educational and media technology.
