The development of social economy will directly affect the development of sports industry. The rapid development of sports industry will also promote the development of social economy. However, due to the gradual acceleration of social and economic development, the lack of matching preferential policies, shortage of managerial personnel and shrinking sales of sports products have gradually restricted the development of sports industry. Based on this, after affirming that the development of sports industry can play a positive role in social economic growth. This paper analyzed the development status of China's sports industry, and studied the impact and constraints of the social and economic downturn on China's sports industry. Then it puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the development of China's sports industry.

This study aims to clarify the current status of development of China's sports industry, explore the fundamental meaning and basic elements of high-quality development of the sports industry, identify and analyze the main challenges faced by the sports industry, and provide theoretical inspiration and practical guidance for achieving sustainable and high-quality development of China's sports industry. This study adopted the literature method and logical analysis method. Through extensive reference to relevant literature and policy documents, the theoretical basis for the high-quality development of the sports industry was systematically sorted out;. Using the logical analysis method, its internal relationship and framework were explored, and the current status of the development of China's sports industry was comprehensively evaluated. The research results show that in the process of achieving high-quality development, China's sports industry is faced with problems such as insufficient technological innovation capabilities, unreasonable industrial structure, unbalanced regional development, and weak international competitiveness, which have become the main factors hindering the high-quality development of China's sports industry. In order to promote the high-quality development of China's sports industry, efforts should be made in the following aspects. Firstly, deepen the integration of science and technology in the sports industry, and enhance innovation capabilities and total factor productivity. Secondly, optimize the structure of the sports industry, and promote field collaboration and efficient allocation of resources. Thirdly, increase sports industry brand building and improve product quality and market influence. Fourthly, practice the green and low-carbon concept of sports, and balance environmental protection and economic growth. Last but not least, strengthen the collaboration between the government, enterprises and all sectors of society to form a joint force to promote the upgrading of China's sports industry. It is hoped that this study can provide a theoretical framework and practical guidance for the high-quality development of China's sports industry, provide inspiring value for relevant policy makers and practitioners in the sports industry, and enhance the international competitiveness of China's sports industry.

With the rapid development of China's economy and society and the rise of the national fitness boom, the status of sports industry has become particularly important, which is related to the national plan, the people's livelihood and the improvement of the national physical fitness. Sports industry, as an important economic and cultural industry, needs to quickly integrate into the market reform environment under the influence of the new economic normal, and take the initiative to meet new challenges and opportunities. Starting from the concept of sports industry and the current development status of China's sports industry, this paper studies and summarizes the development characteristics of China's sports industry based on the organizational structure, and analyzes the new trends of the future development of sports industry.

The development of a high-quality sports industry is crucial to China’s economic growth. This research quantitatively analyzed factors influencing the development of the sports industry for the period 2010–2019. The study selected variables pertaining to the gross national income per capita (X1), household final consumption expenditure per capita (X2), sports population (X3), number of fitness venues and facilities (X4), number of sporting events (X5), and number of sports-related business registrations (X6) and analyzed their relationship with the value added to the sports industry. By developing a ridge regression model, it can be determined that correlations (Pearson’s r) between six factors and the value added to the sports industry were all greater than 0.90, and that each factor had a positive impact on the industry (p < 0.05). After standardizing the ridge regression model with the z-score method, it was determined that the degree of influence of the six factors varied: X2 (βridge = 0.156), X3 (βridge = 0.153) and X5 (βridge = 0.153), X1 (βridge = 0.151), X4 (βridge = 0.136), and X6 (βridge = 0.121). The ridge regression model can give a reference model for predicting and optimizing the sustainable development of the sports industry in China.

leisure sport industry is the tertiary industry, whose economic features are indivisibility between production and consumption and relatively large elasticity of substitution of leisure sport products' factors of production; Leisure sport products have quality of final product and economy is the foundation of development of leisure sport industry. The development of the economy promotes progress of leisure body building entertainment industry. Leisure sport improves industrial structure, expands employment space, impels progress of economy, meets people's sports demands, and facilitates development of leisure sport industry. For developing leisure sport industry, it is required to establish the corresponding administrative organization, perfect the rules and regulations, develop the market of leisure sport industry and attach great importance to personnel training.

In this paper, from the perspective of a new socialist countryside, the effects of external environment factors on the development of regional sports industry are explored by documentary analysis, comparative research, and the combination of regional economic theory. This article contains the following three aspects: Analyze the development pattern of sports industry by reviewing related literature; Macroscopically compare specific environmental factors of sports industry development around Sichuan province by actual data; Put forward suggestions, motivated by promoting balanced development of regional sports industry, on the development of sports industry in New socialist countryside of Sichuan province.

Demographic change is a fundamental characteristic of China’s demographic development. The primary problem in China’s population development has shifted in recent years from overall pressure to structural challenges. Using data from China’s seventh demographic census, this study examines the dynamics of sports consumption growth from the perspective of population structure, analyzes the characteristics of the current population structure and the current state of sports consumption development, and establishes a regression to examine the impact of population structure change trends on sports industry development. The study demonstrates that there are varying degrees of correlation between different demographic trends and the sports industry in China’s aging population: the added value per capita of the sports industry is significantly (p < 0.01), positively correlated with the proportion of the elderly population and the number of graduates from general higher education institutions. While the expansion of the sports sector continues to be positive, there are numerous issues that need to be addressed. To encourage the development of a high-quality sports industry, proactive countermeasures are proposed to adjust population policy, increase population quality, and promote the comprehensive upgrading of sports consumption.

The development of urbanization is rapidly changing, and various undertakings are flourishing, while the sports industry, as an important segment of urban regional economic development, plays an inestimable role in the development of the entire city construction. The study takes the sports industry and economic development of 27 provincial capital cities in China from 2018 to 2022 as the research object, establishes the evaluation indexes for the high-quality development of the sports industry based on the principle of index construction, and establishes the weights of the indexes. Taking Harbin as a case study, the effect between urban sports industry and economic growth is analyzed with the help of impulse response analysis, Granger causality test, and variance decomposition of VAR model. The results show that the development of urban sports industry and economic growth can promote each other, with a long-term cointegration relationship, and the positive effects between the two are slowly reduced over time when they are impacted in the long term. Granger test shows. It indicates that there is a unidirectional causal relationship between urban sports industry and economic growth.

To clarify the utility of colleges and universities to help the development of sports industry, and to evaluate the degree of utility in promoting the sports industry in colleges and universities, is the effective way to further promote the development of sports industry in colleges and universities. Many kinds of methods and theories are used to evaluate the function of the development of sports industry in colleges and universities, for instance: WSR methods and theories; the function evaluation index which is constructed with the experts’ advice; the Analytic Hierarchy Process which can be used to assign a weigh to each index; and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method(FCE). The main conclusions are as follows: This method can solve the problem of weight distribution, which can help to find out the leading factors in promoting the development of sports industry; Through the empirical analysis, it is helpful to solve the ambiguity and uncertainty of the evaluation process, and realize the objective evaluation of the university to promote the development of the sports industry.

Under the background of domestic and international two-way circulation, improving the resilience of China’s sports industry chain is not only the basic guarantee to build a modern sports industry system and cope with the upgrading of mass consumption, but also an important measure to enhance the discourse power of China’s sports industry under the background of economic globalization. Based on the actual development and demand conditions of China's sports industry, this paper analyzes the practical challenges of improving the resilience of the sports industry chain from the external environment such as supply and demand, international market environment, as well as the internal factors such as industrial mechanism and industrial chain foundation. The following optimization paths are proposed: stimulate the market vitality of the sports industry, consolidate the circular foundation of the industrial chain, build the collaborative governance platform of the industrial chain, improve the linkage mechanism of the sports industry subject, optimize the spatial layout of industrial clusters, enhance the effect of industrial collaborative agglomeration, promote the integration and upgrading of the sports industry, and enhance the discourse power in the international market.

In 2011, Jiangsu Province set up the guidance fund for sports industry. In 2016, Jiangsu Provincial Finance Department jointly issued the document with Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, which was changed to “Jiangsu Special Fund for Sports Industry Development.” By 2019, Jiangsu Province has funded 1,009 sports industry development projects with a total investment of 796.6 million yuan. The effect of the investment has attracted extensive attention from the government, society, and enterprises. Entrusted by Jiangsu Sports Industry Guidance Center, this research team spent one year on the performance research of 1,009 projects supported by special funds for the development of sports industry, from the construction of evaluation index system to the design, issuance, collection, and processing of questionnaires. Using the methods of literature, questionnaire, expert interview, and mathematical statistics, this paper takes the performance management of the special funds for the development of sports industry in Jiangsu Province as the research object, based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the special funds for the development of sports industry in Jiangsu Province. It analyzes the special funds from four aspects: the rate of funds in place, the ratio of funds pulled, the completion rate of project implementation, and the rate of fund prerecovery. Then, this paper expounds the current situation, effectiveness, and problems of the performance management of the special funds for the development of sports industry and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for improvement.

In recent years, with the development of information technology, “internet plus” has become the main way to promote the development of sports industry, and keeping the sustainable development of sports has also become the most challenging topic in the sports field. In order to solve the sustainable development of sports industry, this paper analyzes the problems of traditional sports industry in product types, marketing models and management, and applies “internet plus” to sports industry, forming new industries such as Internet broadcasting, intelligent software and hardware, e-commerce, and e-sports, realizing humanized and intelligent products, diversified organizational forms, and innovative management models. Through the connotation and classification of “internet plus sports,” it integrates and analyzes the new format. The results show that the innovative development of new formats can be realized through product and business integration, product positioning optimization, and active industry guidance, and a “high+new” industrial structural development model can be formed. On the basis that the government and market mechanism do not conform to the economic development, through the optimization of collectivized industrial organization, a “collectivized” organizational model has been formed, and a new format of “internet plus” sports industry has been constructed. The research results have laid a solid theoretical foundation for the development of “internet plus sports.”

With the development of the Internet and the exponential increase in the number of customers in the sports industry, the traditional sports industry is no longer able to provide services to its customers in real time.By utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) as well as edge computing, the intelligence of Internet of Things (IoT) can be improved, which in the sports industry can handle the sports business of edge devices in time to ensure the timeliness of the sports industry, thus improving the sports industry's ability to process sports information.This paper has compared the traditional sports industry with the sports industry on the basis of edge computing of the IoT.The experimental results showed that between 2016 and 2020, the average economic development level of the conventional sports industry was 64.4%, while the average economic development level of edge computing of the IoT-based sports industry was 76.4%.Innovative ideas for the sports industry that use IoT to intelligently classify sports business data and process time-sensitive data in real time via edge computing of IoT can effectively improve economic development.

The digital economy system is an essential driving force that promotes the development of the sports industry, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). This paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the roles of the digital economy in enhancing the sustainable high-quality development of the sports industry in China. This study utilizes panel data from 17 provinces in China, spanning the period from 2014 to 2020. The level of high-quality development in both China’s digital economy and sports industry is calculated using the entropy method. To examine the empirical relationship between the digital economy and the sports industry’s high-quality development, this study employs benchmark regression, mediation models, and spatial analysis and conducts robustness tests. The findings of this study indicate that the digital economy not only directly and significantly contributes to the development of the sports industry but also drives it indirectly through the transformative effects of technological innovation. This study reveals that the impacts of the digital economy on the sports industry’s high-quality development exhibit nonlinear characteristics, with an initial period of rapid growth followed by a diminishing growth rate and spatial spillover effects. By recognizing this dynamic relationship, stakeholders could better strategize and allocate resources in their efforts to achieve SDGs. To advance the development of the sports industry and contribute to the SDGs, it is crucial to accelerate the construction of digital infrastructure in China, nurture a diverse pool of talent in sports science and technology, and develop region-specific strategies that consider sustainability and inclusivity.
