Leisure Sport Industry and Economic Development

The development of social economy will directly affect the development of sports industry. The rapid development of sports industry will also promote the development of social economy. However, due to the gradual acceleration of social and economic development, the lack of matching preferential policies, shortage of managerial personnel and shrinking sales of sports products have gradually restricted the development of sports industry. Based on this, after affirming that the development of sports industry can play a positive role in social economic growth. This paper analyzed the development status of China's sports industry, and studied the impact and constraints of the social and economic downturn on China's sports industry. Then it puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the development of China's sports industry.

With the development of economy, people's pursuit of quality of life is increasing day by day, which lays a foundation for the development of sports industry in China. For example, in some western developed countries, the contribution of sports industry to economy has far exceeded that of traditional industry and become a new growth point of economic development. Although China's sports industry has made certain development, it is still in its infancy. Compared with the western developed countries, the development of China's sports industry is still relatively slow, and there are still some problems to be solved in the development of sports industry. This paper mainly studies the relationship between sports industry and economic development in China. Based on the statistical index data of national economy and sports industry development from 2011 to 2020, the relationship between sports industry development and national economic growth in China is empirically analyzed by using mathematical statistics and VAR model. According to the research results, there is a high correlation between the sports industry and economic development. The development of the sports industry is based on a certain level of economic growth of the country, while the development of the sports industry at a certain stage will have a multiplier effect. It is proved that the state should contribute to the development of the sports industry, because this ensures the symbiotic development of the national economy, which generally leads to an increase in the quality of life. To do this, it is necessary to stimulate the activity of the sports market and create a fair and open system of legal support, as well as standardize the assessment and supervision system.

This study aims to clarify the current status of development of China's sports industry, explore the fundamental meaning and basic elements of high-quality development of the sports industry, identify and analyze the main challenges faced by the sports industry, and provide theoretical inspiration and practical guidance for achieving sustainable and high-quality development of China's sports industry. This study adopted the literature method and logical analysis method. Through extensive reference to relevant literature and policy documents, the theoretical basis for the high-quality development of the sports industry was systematically sorted out;. Using the logical analysis method, its internal relationship and framework were explored, and the current status of the development of China's sports industry was comprehensively evaluated. The research results show that in the process of achieving high-quality development, China's sports industry is faced with problems such as insufficient technological innovation capabilities, unreasonable industrial structure, unbalanced regional development, and weak international competitiveness, which have become the main factors hindering the high-quality development of China's sports industry. In order to promote the high-quality development of China's sports industry, efforts should be made in the following aspects. Firstly, deepen the integration of science and technology in the sports industry, and enhance innovation capabilities and total factor productivity. Secondly, optimize the structure of the sports industry, and promote field collaboration and efficient allocation of resources. Thirdly, increase sports industry brand building and improve product quality and market influence. Fourthly, practice the green and low-carbon concept of sports, and balance environmental protection and economic growth. Last but not least, strengthen the collaboration between the government, enterprises and all sectors of society to form a joint force to promote the upgrading of China's sports industry. It is hoped that this study can provide a theoretical framework and practical guidance for the high-quality development of China's sports industry, provide inspiring value for relevant policy makers and practitioners in the sports industry, and enhance the international competitiveness of China's sports industry.

With the rapid development of China's economy and society and the rise of the national fitness boom, the status of sports industry has become particularly important, which is related to the national plan, the people's livelihood and the improvement of the national physical fitness. Sports industry, as an important economic and cultural industry, needs to quickly integrate into the market reform environment under the influence of the new economic normal, and take the initiative to meet new challenges and opportunities. Starting from the concept of sports industry and the current development status of China's sports industry, this paper studies and summarizes the development characteristics of China's sports industry based on the organizational structure, and analyzes the new trends of the future development of sports industry.

In this paper, from the perspective of a new socialist countryside, the effects of external environment factors on the development of regional sports industry are explored by documentary analysis, comparative research, and the combination of regional economic theory. This article contains the following three aspects: Analyze the development pattern of sports industry by reviewing related literature; Macroscopically compare specific environmental factors of sports industry development around Sichuan province by actual data; Put forward suggestions, motivated by promoting balanced development of regional sports industry, on the development of sports industry in New socialist countryside of Sichuan province.

The development of a high-quality sports industry is crucial to China’s economic growth. This research quantitatively analyzed factors influencing the development of the sports industry for the period 2010–2019. The study selected variables pertaining to the gross national income per capita (X1), household final consumption expenditure per capita (X2), sports population (X3), number of fitness venues and facilities (X4), number of sporting events (X5), and number of sports-related business registrations (X6) and analyzed their relationship with the value added to the sports industry. By developing a ridge regression model, it can be determined that correlations (Pearson’s r) between six factors and the value added to the sports industry were all greater than 0.90, and that each factor had a positive impact on the industry (p < 0.05). After standardizing the ridge regression model with the z-score method, it was determined that the degree of influence of the six factors varied: X2 (βridge = 0.156), X3 (βridge = 0.153) and X5 (βridge = 0.153), X1 (βridge = 0.151), X4 (βridge = 0.136), and X6 (βridge = 0.121). The ridge regression model can give a reference model for predicting and optimizing the sustainable development of the sports industry in China.

To clarify the utility of colleges and universities to help the development of sports industry, and to evaluate the degree of utility in promoting the sports industry in colleges and universities, is the effective way to further promote the development of sports industry in colleges and universities. Many kinds of methods and theories are used to evaluate the function of the development of sports industry in colleges and universities, for instance: WSR methods and theories; the function evaluation index which is constructed with the experts’ advice; the Analytic Hierarchy Process which can be used to assign a weigh to each index; and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method(FCE). The main conclusions are as follows: This method can solve the problem of weight distribution, which can help to find out the leading factors in promoting the development of sports industry; Through the empirical analysis, it is helpful to solve the ambiguity and uncertainty of the evaluation process, and realize the objective evaluation of the university to promote the development of the sports industry.

In 2011, Jiangsu Province set up the guidance fund for sports industry. In 2016, Jiangsu Provincial Finance Department jointly issued the document with Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, which was changed to “Jiangsu Special Fund for Sports Industry Development.” By 2019, Jiangsu Province has funded 1,009 sports industry development projects with a total investment of 796.6 million yuan. The effect of the investment has attracted extensive attention from the government, society, and enterprises. Entrusted by Jiangsu Sports Industry Guidance Center, this research team spent one year on the performance research of 1,009 projects supported by special funds for the development of sports industry, from the construction of evaluation index system to the design, issuance, collection, and processing of questionnaires. Using the methods of literature, questionnaire, expert interview, and mathematical statistics, this paper takes the performance management of the special funds for the development of sports industry in Jiangsu Province as the research object, based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the special funds for the development of sports industry in Jiangsu Province. It analyzes the special funds from four aspects: the rate of funds in place, the ratio of funds pulled, the completion rate of project implementation, and the rate of fund prerecovery. Then, this paper expounds the current situation, effectiveness, and problems of the performance management of the special funds for the development of sports industry and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for improvement.

Scholars stress the importance of leisure sports activities for a healthy body and mind. There is a positive correlation between socioeconomic uplift and leisure sports activities. China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) is the flagship project under the “The Belt and Road” initiative led by the Chines government, with pouring in of huge investment centered around CPEC. It is hoped that it would have positively affected leisure sports activities. Relying on qualitative and quantitative data, the study analyzed the impact of CPEC on leisure sports activities. The findings suggest the positive impact of CPEC on leisure activities. These activities were facilitated with the provision of sports facilities, infrastructure development, economic uplift, and cultural influence.

It is of great significance to explore the level of structural upgrading and optimization path of the sports industry to promote the transformation and development of the sports industry. Taking the structure of China’s sports industry as the research object, a quantitative analysis method is adopted to construct a model for measuring the structural upgrading of China’s sports industry, measuring the external structure of China’s sports industry from 2006 to 2023 by the index of the proportion of the sports industry in the economic structure, and the direction and rate of the internal structural upgrading of China’s sports industry from 2006 to 2023 by the coefficient of the overstepping forward of the industrial structure, the value of the change of Moore’s structure and the value of the average change of the industrial structure. The direction and rate of upgrading the internal structure of China’s sports industry from 2006 to 2023 are measured by the coefficient of industrial structure overrun, the value of Moore’s structural change, and the average change value of industrial structure. The results show that: (1) the external structure of China’s sports industry is continuously optimized, and its role in China’s economic development is constantly emerging, but the contribution rate to economic growth is still relatively low; (2) the over-advanced development of the sports service industry, and the lagging development trend of the sports construction industry and the sporting goods manufacturing industry conform to the law of upgrading of the industrial structure; (3) from the internal viewpoint of the sports service industry, the sports management activities, the sports fitness and leisure activities, and the sports competition and performance activities are lagging. Sports management activities, sports fitness and leisure activities, and sports competition and performance activities are lagging, which has become one of the critical obstacles restricting the transformation and upgrading of China’s sports industry. In recent years, with the development of information technology, “internet plus” has become the main way to promote the development of sports industry, and keeping the sustainable development of sports has also become the most challenging topic in the sports field. In order to solve the sustainable development of sports industry, this paper analyzes the problems of traditional sports industry in product types, marketing models and management, and applies “internet plus” to sports industry, forming new industries such as Internet broadcasting, intelligent software and hardware, e-commerce, and e-sports, realizing humanized and intelligent products, diversified organizational forms, and innovative management models. Through the connotation and classification of “internet plus sports,” it integrates and analyzes the new format. The results show that the innovative development of new formats can be realized through product and business integration, product positioning optimization, and active industry guidance, and a “high+new” industrial structural development model can be formed. On the basis that the government and market mechanism do not conform to the economic development, through the optimization of collectivized industrial organization, a “collectivized” organizational model has been formed, and a new format of “internet plus” sports industry has been constructed. The research results have laid a solid theoretical foundation for the development of “internet plus sports.”

The development of urbanization is rapidly changing, and various undertakings are flourishing, while the sports industry, as an important segment of urban regional economic development, plays an inestimable role in the development of the entire city construction. The study takes the sports industry and economic development of 27 provincial capital cities in China from 2018 to 2022 as the research object, establishes the evaluation indexes for the high-quality development of the sports industry based on the principle of index construction, and establishes the weights of the indexes. Taking Harbin as a case study, the effect between urban sports industry and economic growth is analyzed with the help of impulse response analysis, Granger causality test, and variance decomposition of VAR model. The results show that the development of urban sports industry and economic growth can promote each other, with a long-term cointegration relationship, and the positive effects between the two are slowly reduced over time when they are impacted in the long term. Granger test shows. It indicates that there is a unidirectional causal relationship between urban sports industry and economic growth.
