Consensus on gastrostomies in pediatrics: a multidisciplinary approach.

The use of ERP systems is becoming an integral part of business information support and allows enterprises to rationalize the use of resources. The purpose of the article is an in-depth analysis of the use of ERP systems in the activities of enterprises, identification of the advantages and limitations of their practical application, which allow the development of ERP systems on the basis of technological, organizational and cognitive convergence to meet the changing needs of modern business. The study used the methods of case analysis, synthesis, and graphical visualization of information. The paper develops the applied aspect of certain areas of modern institutional economic theory, in particular the theory of evolutionary economics. Attention is focused on how the factor of technological progress affects the transformation of company management due to the principle of bounded rationality. The study summarizes the practice of using ERP systems and analyzes the relationship with the processes of convergence of information, communication, management, and cognitive technologies. The factors of rational use of resources based on ERP system data for four types of operating models of companies are identified. They are identified depending on the level of standardization and integration of business processes. Integration contributes to the rational use of resources through the automation of routine processes but requires several business units to use common practices for working with information in terms of its receipt, registration, storage, confidentiality, and distributed access. Standardization brings cost savings and efficiency by unifying and speeding up business processes but limits the ability to transform individual processes to adapt to rapid changes in the environment. The results of the study will help enterprises when implementing or transforming ERP systems to determine their desired configuration, in accordance with business needs, while maintaining the required level of adaptability of business processes. The results will also be useful for researchers conducting comprehensive studies of the impact of information technology on business operations. Technological advances mean that ERP systems continue to evolve and integrate with other technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and machine learning, to provide businesses with valuable context that transforms information into unique knowledge, which outlines the prospect for further research.

The national interests of the state are to ensure socio-economic development based on the efficient and rational use, protection and reproduction of land resources in the production of organic products, as well as maintaining a healthy environment. This determines the urgency of harmonizing national policies in the field of reorganization, modernization and development sectors of the economy, and in the provision of services with policies on environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, public health, the formation and use of mechanisms to address these problems, taking into account the situation and the laws of a market economy. This article examines the process of agricultural production taking into account environmental factors and ensuring the rational use of land resources. The importance of soil quality indicators, as well as their impact on land use of agricultural enterprises for the production of organic products is substantiated. The optimal ecological strategy is recommended for most agricultural enterprises of Ukraine. The processes of development of organic food products in Ukraine were considered, as well as the essence and meaning of the concept of “organic products”. The expediency of organic production is proved and the factors of influence of organic products on society are considered. An effective way to improve the condition of soils and lands, increase their fertility in the future. The importance of crop rotations for improving the efficiency and fertility of land resources of Ukraine has been established. Purpose. Creating a market for organic products and proposals for the rational use of land resources. Results. The essence and concept of organic products are revealed. The process of agricultural production is studied taking into account environmental factors and ensuring the rational use of land resources. The importance of soil quality indicators, as well as their impact on land use of agricultural enterprises for the production of organic products is substantiated. The optimal ecological strategy is recommended for most agricultural enterprises of Ukraine. Proposals for improving the efficiency of land use, improving the condition of soils and lands, increasing their fertility in the future. Conclusions. The urgency of creating a market for organic products and improving the efficiency of land use and creating sustainable systems of organic production that contribute to the preservation of ecosystems and gradually improve soil quality, which is an integral part of environmental and economic policy, which ensures rational use, protection and management of land resources , is important. In this context, the organization of rational and efficient land use includes creating the best conditions for organic production, reproduction and protection of soil fertility, increasing its role in agricultural production, scientifically sound interaction of soils with other natural factors, ensuring the development of the most complete and correct criteria, methods and techniques. Scientifically substantiated alternation of crops and vapors in time and territory or only in time (rotation) in advance according to a defined plan, and is accompanied by an appropriate tillage system. Thanks to the crop rotation system – a systematic increase in yield, provides the largest production of agricultural products per unit area with the lowest financial costs and labor, and ensures the rational use of land resources in the production of organic products.

Comprehensive implementation of the planning and accounting function is the primary task of the modern enterprise of the manufacturing industry. Rational use of resources radically changes the strategy of the enterprise, which is of particular importance in modern terms, when the most important is the permanent cost reduction, ensuring compliance with the economically justified resource saving mode. People need a modern method of planned calculation of production cost (work, services), functionally oriented to the rational use of production resources in all processes of the value stream. Thus, the aim of the study is to develop the above methodology, the most “deployed” in the direction of information requests for effective management. The author’s observations of phenomena and processes in a number of manufacturing enterprises, their systematization and classification, system analysis, the use of structural-substrate and process approaches, measurement and results’ synthesis allowed to develop a modern methodology of planned calculation integrated into the information method part of an enterprise.

The article discusses methodological approaches to modeling and forecasting the rational use of land resources and the use of geotechnologies. Modeling is performed using the concept of "digital twin" and specially developed criteria for the optimality of the rational land use system. The criteria are rea-sonable from the viewpoint of assessing the socio-economic condition of the territory in strategic planning, and environmental analysis. The criteria also correspond to the indicators that are used to assess the effectiveness of the cadastral system. Geotechnologies are used as a method of predictive modeling. The prototype of the system of rational use of land resources is proposed. The system con-sists of four subsystems: zoning and functional zoning; predictive modeling; long-term planning; monitoring of rational land use based on optimality criteria. The structure of the system of rational use of land resources has been developed, showing the relationship between subsystems and targets which are to be reached as the result of system operation. To assess the rational land use system, optimality criteria have been developed: the stability of the spatial structure to external influences; maximum in-volvement of land resources in economic use; value stability of the real estate object; compliance with regulatory requirements; indicators of the demographic situation; economic efficiency. The imple-mented structure of rational use system of land resources is the structure of the digital twin model for optimizing geosystem management processes. Based on the developed optimality criteria, more accu-rately fine-tuned model and cost-effective and environmentally sound management solutions are de-veloped.

Literature highlights the impact of loneliness on mental and physical wellbeing. Nonetheless, the link between loneliness and the distinct domains of quality of life has only been slightly explored. Moreover, the relationship between early affiliative memories and current feelings of loneliness still need to be studied. The main goal of this study was to explore how early memories of warmth and safeness and physical, psychological and social quality of life (QoL) are related through the mediating influences of loneliness, by testing a novel model in a community-based sample of 509 adult participants of both sexes. Path analysis results suggested that the lack of early memories of warmth and safeness is associated with higher levels of loneliness, which in turn, is associated with decreased physical, psychological and social quality of life. This model accounted for 22%, 45% and 41% of the variance of physical, psychological and social quality of life, respectively. This study seems to suggest that loneliness is a defensive response that may have its roots in the absence of early emotional experiences of warmth and safeness, which may become a conditioned mental representation of self and others that greatly influences one’s perceptions of one’s physical, psychological and social quality of life. Findings seem to support the relevance of addressing the abilities of warmth, kindness and compassion to overcome loneliness, and subsequently to promote physical, psychological and social well-being.

New ways justified to improve technological nature-convergent principles and schemes for the rational use of resources in water treatment and processing. Main principles for the rational use of resources, nature-convergency and ressources substitution were developped. The impact of ultrasound on the production of highly reactive sodium hypochlorite was revealed. The know-how of an active chlorine-containing reagent from underground mineral waters was studied and its effectiveness in disinfecting natural and waste waters of pulp and paper and fish processing industries was proven. A new formula for fertile soil production based on tap water sediment was developed.

Purpose. The purpose of the article is the formation of theoretical principles of accounting in forestry enterprises on the challenges of the concept of sustainable development, in terms of defining the directions of improving the information support system of rational forestry for the purpose of preservation, reproduction and use of forest resources at the micro and macro levels of the economy. Results. Based on the results of the study, it is established that to ensure the functioning of domestic forestry enterprises on the principles of sustainable development, a necessary condition is to take into account economic, environmental and social goals in management. For this purpose, the directions of economic operations on forest use (harvesting and processing of forest products, reproduction of forest resources) are identified, which can be used as a basis for clarifying the composition of accounting objects specific to forest enterprises for further development of their organizational and methodological support. It is proved that forest resources and losses caused to the environment due to irrational forest use should be reflected in accounting, which will allow forming information support for forest resources management at the microeconomic level. Scientific novelty. The lack of a developed management mechanism that would ensure the conservation, reproduction and rational use of forest resources leads to the loss of national wealth. The evolution of the modern world market economy necessitates the interaction of society and nature, which is based on the postulates of the theory of sustainable development. For forestry, it is the observance of the balance of economic interests of the subjects of forest relations and the protection of forest resources. The above necessitated the delineation of areas for improving the information system of rational forest use in order to preserve, reproduce and use forest resources at the micro and macro levels of the economy. Practical value. The main results of the study can be used: at the microeconomic level (forestry enterprises) – to develop a management mechanism that would ensure the conservation, reproduction and rational use of forest resources; improvement of the system of information support of rational forest use in terms of development of organizational and methodological support of accounting of objects specific to forestry; at the macroeconomic level – to prevent the loss of a component of the country’s national wealth – forest resources; control over the availability and condition of forest resources, which is a component of economic security of the state.

اهداف: کیفیت زندگی، مفهومی پیچیده و چندبعدی است که تحت تأثیر مولفه هایی چون زمان و مکان، ارزش‌های فردی و اجتماعی از سوی متفکران علوم شهری و سایر اندیشمندان علوم مختلف مطرح و مورد پژوهش قرار گرفته است. تحقیق حاضر با هدف بررسی شاخص‌های کیفیت زندگی و سنجش آن در شهر مرکزی زرین دشت (حاجی‌آباد) بر مبنای 4 گروه شاخص‌های اقتصادی، اجتماعی، خدماتی و کالبدی صورت گرفته است. روش: روش تحقیق، در این مقاله توصیفی- تحلیلی و ابزار آن پرسش‌نامه می‌باشد. روایی پرسش‌نامه با استفاده از نظرات متخصصان و پایایی آن با استفاده از محاسبه آلفای کرونباخ (72%) تعیین شد. جامعۀ آماری در این پژوهش7 محله از شهر حاجی‌آباد (20000نفر) می‌باشد که با استفاده از فرمول کوکران 377 نمونه انتخاب گردید و به‌صورت تصادفی در هر محله پرسش‌نامه توزیع شد. تجزیه و تحلیل پرسش‌نامه با استفاده ازآمار توصیفی، همبستگی و رگرسیون چندگانۀ خطی انجام شد و در نهایت از روش آنتروپی شانون جهت وزن‌دهی شاخص‌ها و تکنیک پرومتی جهت رتبه‌بندی محلات به‌کار گرفته شد. یافته‌ها/نتایج: یافته‌های پژوهش نشان داد که در شهر حاجی‌آباد، محلۀ فرهنگیان بالاترین سطح کیفیت زندگی شهری و محلۀ حسین‌آباد، پایین‌ترین سطح کیفیت را در بین محلات دارد. همچنین در بررسی ابعاد چهارگانۀ شاخص کیفیت زندگی همبستگی مستقیم و معناداری وجود داشته و هر یک از این ابعاد همبستگی معناداری با رضایتمندی نهایی از کیفیت زندگی دارند و از بین شاخص‌های کیفیت زندگی، شاخص اقتصادی بیشترین تأثیر را در کیفیت محلات دارد.

Orthognathic surgery improves quality of life and depression, but not anxiety, and patients with higher preoperative depression scores improve less

Objective: to unveil nurses' perceptions about the development of care technology to operationalize the nursing process. Methods: qualitative study, developed with seven intensive care nurses, through a focus group, based on a semi-structured script. The content analysis technique was used to interpret the data, in the light of the Best Practices framework. Results: the content of the focus group was organized into two categories of a priori analysis: Applying resolutive knowledge in the development of care technology for the nursing process and development of technology focused on the nursing process, based on the rational use of resources. Conclusion: nurses conceived care technology as best practice, considering that it was based on scientific evidence. It has developed collaboratively, with rational use of resources, based on a partnership with higher education institutions, and customized according to local context and needs.

Type 2 diabetes (T2D) constitutes a major health problem, reaching alarming rates over the last decades, especially due to contemporary lifestyle and associated obesogenic environments, as well as the aging population. Diabetes not only causes social consequences but also leads to increasing healthcare costs, posing a significant challenge for the health system. This paper applies a five-step approach for estimating T2D-related costs in Greece. The approach initially estimates the T2D-related ICD10 prevalence and the target population. Next it applies the appropriate therapeutic protocols to identify the most appropriate treatments. Subsequently, it calculates the total cost of medical treatments for each target population, based on the distribution of patients between the different treatments and treatment lines. Finally, based on the diagnostic and treatment protocols, it calculates the annual direct costs associated with the cost categories. Using the estimated future population of the country, the proposed methodology can also project the budget required, under certain conditions, to deal with T2D. The analysis estimated that T2D-related costs in 2021 under rational use of resources were EUR 1,397,871,172.55 billion and EUR 1,512,934,947.63 billion projected in the year 2030 considering the aging effect, per cost category, and in total, presenting an increase of approximately 115 million euros in 2030 compared to 2021. The term “rational use of resources” in this study refers to the use of internationally recognized, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic protocols, as adopted by the Greek Ministry of Health. This scenario represents an idealized standard of care rather than actual real-world adherence and is used to estimate the potential resource needs under optimal medical practice conditions. An inflation rate of 4.2% was applied to costs between 2021 and 2030. The analysis showed that the highest percentage (39%) of the total T2D-related healthcare expenditures is associated with complications that occur in T2D patients. Despite a comparatively modest prevalence of T2D in Greece relative to other European and Mediterranean countries, the economic burden associated with its management remains high. The aging of the population will lead to an increase in the total cost of T2D. The applied methodology of estimating budgets by aggregating categories of expenses under a specific disease (ICD10), instead of dividing budgets into categories of expenses, can successfully lead to the optimization and rationalization of expenses according to actual needs. The findings underline the significant economic burden of T2D in Greece, particularly due to complications and population aging. These results emphasize the urgent need for health policy strategies focusing on prevention, early intervention, and the efficient allocation of healthcare resources. The methodology applied can serve as a decision-making tool for forecasting healthcare budgets and optimizing expenditures under different population and treatment scenarios.

BackgroundAlthough many studies have explored the correlation between quality of life and survival, none have reported this relationship for specific cancers assessed at distinct time points. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the impact of pretreatment Global Quality of Life (QOL) and functioning QOL, including physical, social, role, emotional, and cognitive QOLs, on mortality risk in patients with lung cancer.MethodsA literature search was conducted across the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Scopus, and PubMed databases for articles published between their inception and December 2022. Subsequently, 11 studies were selected based on predefined eligibility criteria to investigate the relationship between pretreatment QOLs and mortality risk in patients with lung cancer.ResultsPretreatment global, physical, social, role, and emotional QOLs were significantly associated with mortality risk as follows: Global QOL (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.08 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.03–1.13); Physical QOL (HR = 1.04 95% CI = 1.02–1.05); Social QOL (HR = 1.02 95% CI = 1.01–1.03; Role QOL (HR = 1.01 95% CI = 1.01–1.02); Emotional QOL (HR = 1.01 95% CI = 1.00–1.03).ConclusionsThese findings underscore the importance of early QOL assessment after diagnosis as well as early provision of physical, social, and psychological support accommodating each patient’s demands.Trial registrationThe International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews registration number CRD42023398206, Registered on February 20, 2023.

Changes in the quality of life of living liver donors: A meta-analysis

Introduction. Despite the significant scale and importance of the heat supply sector for the country’s housing and public utilities, a number of persistent issues have accumulated in its operation, reducing both its reliability and economic efficiency. This underscores the need to identify directions for enhancing the performance and dependability of heat supply systems through the rational use of energy resources and to develop a comprehensive system of performance indicators. In line with Russia’s strategic policy documents, energy conservation is a priority for the development of the national energy sector, including urban heat supply, which creates opportunities to improve system reliability by reducing failures across networks and sources and to enhance cost-effectiveness through the rational use of energy resources. Materials and methods. The research applied logical analysis and systematisation methods. An analysis of publicly available data sources and expert studies in the field of heat supply made it possible to summarise and systematise practical experience in implementing energy-saving measures across the generation, transmission, and consumption stages of thermal energy. Results. A comprehensive set of measures aimed at improving the reliability and cost-effectiveness of heat supply through the rational use of energy resources has been developed and systematised. In addition, a framework of performance indicators has been designed to assess the effectiveness of heat-supply operations in the urban and municipal sectors, reflecting improvements in reliability and cost-effectiveness resulting from the proposed measures. Conclusions. Implementing the proposed energy-conservation and energy-efficiency measures across the stages of heat generation, transmission, and consumption will enhance both the reliability and cost-effectiveness of urban and municipal heat-supply systems. The suggested system of performance indicators will enable a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of these measures in terms of the improvements achieved.

Effects of aerobic, resistance, and mixed exercises on quality of life in patients with cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis
