Interface Design Evaluation of Educational APP for Preschool Children Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process

Visual communication design and space design is discussed in this paper the complementary relationship between, it is worth mentioning that the visual communication design can be a good blend of collision and space design, so the analysis of the blend mode in the design of visual communication design elements in space, and space visual design elements of law, more reasonable and effective use of visual communication design elements in space design activities for better design services, become a carrier capacity and environmental design in visual communication design concept, therefore, in the design of the two classify, between the two cannot be away from each other, can only promote better design complement each other. As is known to all, the most direct contact between human beings in this world is vision, also known as sight and sight, followed by hearing, smelling and tasting. Therefore, the more intuitive feelings of human beings will be conveyed by vision. In 1960, the term ＂visual communication＂ popular in the world design congress held in Japan, including printed newspapers and magazines, posters and other promotional material design, and television, movies, electronic billboards and other media, through the eyes to convey to the brain for modelling of expressive design is widely referred to as visual communication design, there's a phrase can express: show people design, design. Moreover, in the design of contemporary exhibition space, visual communication design elements are often used. These design elements not only have the function of transmitting information, but also have unlimited commercial value and propaganda effect. Left the concept of positioning, space design is only the so-called functional platter; Ignore the visual communication of visual language, no matter how good the environment will be due to graphic design style gap and left a failure. As we know, one of the most important functions of visual communication design elements is to help present the most complete visual effect in the spatial display. The organic connection between visual communication design and display space design not only harmonizes the relationship between two-dimensional plane and three-dimensional space environment, but also expands the cooperation between subjects and strengthens the research space between the two design disciplines. Only in this way can designers solve complex and comprehensive problems and help designers make full use of their advantages to create better works.

This study proposes methods to enhance the efficiency of setting and executing personal life goals by applying visual information design principles to life planning. Through theoretical exploration based on the conceptual model of the “Life Roadmap,” the study suggests that the following elements can effectively structure complex and abstract life goals in a clear and systematic way in the life planning process: 1) a linear hierarchical representation of intermediate goals based on a geometric sequence, 2) an integrated visual framework that arranges intermediate goals and bucket lists in a vertical parallel structure, and 3) incorporation of visual narrative design elements. Among these, a novel method of integrating bucket lists into the “Life Roadmap” was found to significantly maximize motivation and a sense of achievement in the goal attainment process. Additionally, it was confirmed that visual design elements stimulating prospective memory positively impact long-term goal achievement by clarifying the relationship between goals and actions. In conclusion, the “Life Roadmap” applying visual information design principles presents potential as a practical tool for enhancing goal setting and achievement capabilities, with broad applications in the fields of self-development and goal management.

In order to create more attractive graffiti works, the Internet of Things technology is used to collect people’s preference information data, and then cloud computing and big data analysis are applied to calculate and analyze the data, so as to get more design elements in line with people’s preferences, providing more material for the creators of graffiti art and facilitating their further creation of graffiti. In recent years, graffiti art, as a kind of postmodern marginal cultural art, has great expressiveness and creativity, which makes graffiti art widely used. Particularly in visual communication design, graffiti art has more characteristics and is deeply loved by the people. With the continuous development of science and technology, Internet of Things technology and cloud computing have acquired more information for many fields, thus assisting the field to complete deeper analysis and research. However, there are few applications in the field of graffiti art. Therefore, this paper combines cloud computing and Internet of Things to obtain more visual communication design elements to provide material for the creator, which is conductive for their continuing creation.

Subways play an irreplaceable role in alleviating urban traffic congestion and showcasing a city’s historical and cultural heritage. Their speed and environmental benefits make them a vital component of sustainable urban development. Historical and cultural expression has become a focal point of subway spatial design and a core component of station planning. Building on this, the present study develops an evaluation system for metro station space that integrates history and culture and is grounded in the theory of genius loci (spirit of place). The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) are used to derive indicator weights and conduct quantitative assessment. AHP results indicate that visual design, auditory elements, and cultural identity are the core priorities within the Xi’an metro station evaluation system. Design strategies integrate visual elements with historical and cultural contexts to create multisensory experiences encompassing form, color, sound, and touch. FCE further analyzes the indicators and shows that the overall design quality of the sampled Xi’an metro stations is generally high: auditory and visual elements are dominant, spiritual (psychological) experience and cultural identity approach excellence, and tactile elements show somewhat weaker performance. These findings suggest that metro space design requires deeper consideration across multiple dimensions. The proposed methodology can be applied to the design and evaluation of metro stations, providing practical guidance for culturally integrated metro spaces.

To address issues including generally low user satisfaction in the outdoor apparel market, the lack of research on lightweight outdoor apparel for urban travel, and narrowly focused studies, this paper proposes a user-centered design approach. The approach integrates the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Kansei Engineering (KE), and Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) for improved apparel design. First, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to construct a hierarchical index of user requirements, highlighting key elements such as garment structure and craftsmanship (weight: 0.4103) and material performance (weight: 0.3184). Second, a Kansei word set was developed, and semantic differential scales combined with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) were employed to analyze data collected from 100 user evaluations, identifying specific design features under the dimensions including (1) structure and craftsmanship and (2) materials. Subsequently, high-priority user needs and recognized design features were converted into actionable design instructions via an AIGC platform, facilitating the intelligent development and optimization of design ideas based on representative samples. Finally, the effectiveness of the optimized design proposals was validated through feedback from target users. The results demonstrate that the proposed AHP–KE–AIGC integrated model effectively converts users’ weighted requirements and ambiguous Kansei preferences for urban travel light outdoor apparel into specific visual design elements, significantly improving user satisfaction with the optimized design schemes compared with conventional outdoor apparel design approaches (mean score > 1). In summary, the integrated pathway for user requirement translation and design generation proposed in this study is applicable not only to light outdoor apparel design but also shows potential for broader application across other apparel categories and related product design domains.

Nigerian newspapers have adopted several visual design elements in their bid to appeal to consumers. These elements aid the navigation of the news pages and, in turn, enhance their readability. This study sought to find out the current patterns of the visual designs of four selected national daily newspapers in Nigeria: Vanguard, Punch, Sun, and Leadership, between September 2014 and August 2015. The study was anchored on the Gestalt theory of visual perception, while visual analysis was adopted as a research methodology. The data generated was analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 20.0 with the aid of frequency, percentage score, average, and the ratio of the information obtained from the newspapers sampled. Findings revealed that, though the four newspapers had specific formats, they obeyed fundamental newspaper design principles.

The availability of decent housing is one of the important indicators in improving the quality of life of the community, especially for residents with low incomes. In practice, the process of determining the eligibility of recipients of housing rehabilitation assistance is often still done manually and subjectively, thus potentially causing inaccuracy and injustice in decision making. The initiative stems from the growing need for systematic and objective tools to support government and social institutions in identifying eligible households for housing rehabilitation programs. In addressing this need, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is employed as a core decision-making framework within the DSS due to its strength in handling complex decision problems involving multiple criteria. The system incorporates various assessment criteria, including household income, structural condition of the house, number of dependents, ownership status, and age of the building. These criteria are structured hierarchically, and their relative importance is determined through pairwise comparisons facilitated by AHP. By applying this method, the system is capable of producing a weighted score for each applicant, thus enabling decision-makers to prioritize assistance based on quantifiable and transparent factors. The research includes both qualitative and quantitative analysis, starting from needs assessment, system requirement analysis, and user interface design, to the implementation of the AHP algorithm within the DSS. Results from case studies and prototype testing demonstrate that the system improves the accuracy and fairness of housing rehabilitation assessments compared to conventional manual evaluations. Moreover, it offers a user-friendly interface for stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds. In conclusion, the integration of AHP in the proposed DSS provides a reliable and scalable solution to support equitable housing policy decisions. Future developments may include integration with GIS for location-based analysis and mobile accessibility for field surveys

The purpose of this study is to discuss approaches for developing human–computer interaction (HCI) in educational technology (ET) based on definitions of visual design, learning variables and user-interface design principles in the field of instructional design and technology (IDT). We will do in several stages, first, we will review historical definitions of HCI and its developments in education and considerations for defining visual literacy for learning with instructional design (ID) models. Then, we will review each definition of visual principles for user interface design (UID) or user experience design (UED) and learning from screens. HCI and its roles with the perceptional approach will be discussed as previous definitions in the type of theories such as cognitive load, activity and paying particular attention to primary concepts included in each definition based on the ID model approach. We will also present some of the historical criticisms of the definitions, which provided designing and developing user interfaces. The process should indicate or address possible performance design approaches in ID steps for developing learning and teaching in learning environments as well as developing UID or UED in ET. This also indicates approaches in philosophy of ET and its theory, definition and applications of new technologies as well as UID or UED perspectives and visual design variables. In this study, we review the visual design techniques from past to present that multimedia project design teams should follow the strategies and rules for designing learning environments in industry, business and military based on philosophy of ET and HCI design with ID models by using the newest technologies. The process compares both understanding global UID or UED requirements and visual strategies and considerations for research and product design by ID models. The steps include recognising terminology in ET practice concept, psychological, technological and pedagogical foundations in ID as well as ET approaches and using visual rules for conducting multimedia projects in last decays. At the end of the study, conceptions of ET, ID models and HCI will be discussing to indicate design standards for multimedia projects in the field of IDT. We will also present the relationships between ET and designing problems for creating instructional materials in education. All steps in visual design, UID, UED and HCI design based on philosophical approaches and evaluations in the field are given at the end of the study. In order to achieve information visualization, realize good interaction between users and information, and meet the needs of users, this study first studied the interaction behavior of the user when using the smartphone was studied, and analyzed the visual factors of the smartphone interface were analyzed from the user sensory interaction level, and the user operation mode level, from the expression of visual form to the commonly used interface mode and User Interface (UI) component space. On this basis, the situational visual expression of the scene in different interaction scenarios was analyzed. Secondly, the basic theory of visual design of smartphone application interface was explained from the perspectives of aesthetics, semiotics and Gestalt psychology, In other words, the visual design of the application interface should be metaphorical, highlighting the key points in the overall visual style, and conforming to the user’s psychological model. At the same time, in order to meet the user’s personalized needs for control, it must add customized options. Finally, the model of the interface visual design method of the interdisciplinary “Shared Communication” system for the interface design of the mobile APP was constructed, and the case of Didi Chuxing was analyzed, which preliminarily confirmed the feasibility of the construction of the interface visual design method model of the “Shared Communication” system.

Learners consume video-based learning content on various mobile devices due to their mobility and accessibility. However, most video-based learning content is originally designed for desktop without consideration of constraints in mobile learning environments. We focus on readability and visibility problems caused by visual design elements such as text and images on varying screen sizes. To reveal design issues of current content, we examined mobile learning adequacy of content with 681 video frames from 108 video lectures. The content analysis revealed a distribution and guideline compliance rate of visual design elements. We also conducted semi-structured interviews with six video production engineers to investigate current practices and challenges in content design for mobile devices. Based on the interview results, we present a prototype that supports a guideline-based design of video learning content. Our findings can inform engineers and design tool makers on the challenges of editing mobile video-based learning content for accessible and adaptive design across devices.

Window displays, as a part of selling strategies, not only convey the type and positioning of mechanize, but also the promotional strategies and corporate images. The study uses window displays for clothing to examine patterns, selling strategies, merchandize types, and target groups. It investigates the effects of design elements on the customers perceptual responding to configurations. The theoretical framework bases on marketing concepts, visual perception principles, Gestalt psychology, and design's principle and elements. Research found that 14 factors in the design affected to perception. The study perception indicates that purchasing desire and attraction had more relation.

This contribution examines the TB- and HIV/AIDS-related health promotion materials currently in use in the Free State (South Africa) and in Lesotho. It first considersthe cultural implications of choosing various visual and verbal design elements in a health-related message. It then analyses a number of health promotion posters on the basis of research findings and the general principles of message design in a multicultural context. Finally, a visual essay approach is taken, commenting on the roadside billboards and alternative health promotion media encountered in the Free State and Lesotho.

Color is one of the essential visual aesthetic design elements for shopping mall building facades, dramatically influencing customers’ aesthetic perceptions, emotions, and behavioral responses. This study explains the relationship between shopping mall facade color and customers’ emotions, aesthetic perceptions, and behavioral responses by applying the S-O-R model. A total of 149 subjects evaluated ten computer-generated shopping malls with different façade colors, and each subject was asked to rate their emotional and aesthetic perceptions and decide whether or not to enter the shopping mall. The results indicate that neutral colors lead to higher pleasure and higher aesthetic perceptions; warm tones and high brightness lead to more positive emotions and aesthetic perceptions; color is positively correlated with aesthetic perceptions; and emotions and aesthetic perceptions positively influence entry decisions, with pleasure being a key predictor of entry decisions. This study elucidates for the first time the process by which shopping mall façade color affects shoppers’ aesthetic perceptions, emotions, and entry decisions; expands the theoretical literature related to environmental psychology; and at the same time, bridges the theoretical gap of shopping mall façade color as a stimulus in the S-O-R model, and provides designers and operators with a strategy for visual attractiveness in the color of the shopping mall’s architectural façade.

In the LTE networks, the multicast services can be transmitted by single frequency network (SFN) mode and point-to-multipoint (PTM) mode, and the unicast services are delivered with point-to-point (PTP) mode. To avoid the network congestion in the LTE networks with the multicast and unicast mixed services, an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) in load balancing is proposed to minimize the demanded radio resources of the maximum load cell. The system model of the demanded radio resources in the maximum load cell is based on AHP. For the same multicast service, the AHP calculates the weight of the demanded radio resources with the three transmission modes of SFN, PTM and PTP. Then the selecting problem of the transmission mode is solved by means of simulated annealing (SA) heuristics. It selects the optimal mode between SFN and PTM for the multicast services. Simulation results show that the proposed AHP in load balancing achieves less demanded radio resources of the maximum load cell than SFN mode for all the multicast services.

By studying the contents, culture, characteristics, functions, information, definition and visual design methods of the visual interface of the infographic, the thinking construction of the visualization of the infographic is constructed. The visual design of infographic is to express certain culture, things, states, data and phenomena through content interpretation, visual illustration, table analysis and thinking cognition, and then highlight visual features with abstract or concrete thinking cognition and concept elaboration. The visual interface design of infographic has the advantage of visual expression for some abstract thinking such as time, culture and space, which is easier to be interpreted by the public than text and language.
