The International Conference on Engineering and Applied Technology (ICEAT) was first launched in 2017 at Mataram hosted by Universitas Muhammdiyah Mataram. The second conference was in 2018 at Banda Aceh hosted by Universitas Muhammdiyah Aceh. The third ICEAT present is hosted by Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong, West Papua, Indonesia. The 3rd ICEAT is organized by Science and Technology Association of Muhammadiyah Higher Education (AST-PTM) as well as jointly with Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, UniversitasMuhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, UniversitasMuhammadiyah Banjarmasin, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof Dr Hamka (UHAMKA). On behalf of the organizing committee, I cordially welcome to all the delegates of the 3rd ICEAT 2019.Being in the third event, the 3rd ICEAT 2019 is aimed at keeping abreast of the current development and innovation in the advanced of research area on Engineering and Applied Technology as well as providing an engage forum for participants to share knowledge and expertise in related issues. In this conference, submitted papers were limited in five conference tracks. The committee member blindly reviewed as well as provided the technical comments to all the submitted paper before ensuring that submitted paper is qualified. Finally we are accepting 52 papers to be presented in the conference. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend our warmest regards to all participants of the 6th International Conference on Tropical and Coastal Region Eco-Development (ICTCRED) 2020. This annual conference was held on 27-28 October 2020, organized by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.We brought an essential global topic the Sustainable Development in Coastal Area . The conference aims to provide a forum to exchange ideas and their current achievements for researchers, academicians, professionals, and industries to expose and exchange innovative ideas, methods, and experiences in the areas related to tropical life sciences and coastal development.We have accepted 107 abstracts for oral and poster presentations coming from different universities and research centers from Indonesia, Japan, USA, UK, Netherlands, South Korea, Belgium, and Malaysia, which were consisted of 15 big interests. Besides, we have cordially invited ten highly respected researchers as keynote speakers with different fields to share their knowledge and expertise. We are grateful for each one of them for setting aside their valuable time to participate in this conference.The 6th ICTCRED 2020 was firstly planned to be held offline in Semarang, Indonesia. However due to the pandemic COVID-19 situation, we had to adapt the new normal regulation which restrict the face to face meeting to avoid the massive virus transmission. Therefore, the 6th ICTCRED 2020 was held in virtual format using Zoom application. This event could not be postponed since it has become the annual event of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Universitas Diponegoro. Despite virtual event, we guarantee that the 6th ICTCRED 2020 was held professionally, following the rule of scientific conference. Starting with the plenary session with the presentation from the keynote speakers, the participants have their presentation in the panel sessions with 10 minute presentation and 10 minute discussion. The presentation of participant was in video recording format to avoid the technical problems during the presentation. However, the presence of participant was an obligation to answer the questions emerging during discussion session. The 15th International Conference on X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (XAFS15) was held on 22-28 July 2012 in Beijing, P. R. China. About 340 scientists from 34 countries attended this important international event. Figure 1. Main hall of XAFS15.The rapidly increasing application of XAFS to the study of a large variety of materials and the operation of the new SR source led to the first meeting of XAFS users in 1981 in England. Following that a further 14 International Conferences have been held. Comparing a breakdown of attendees according to their national origin, it is clear that participation is spreading to include attendees from more and more countries every year.The strategy of development in China of science and education is increasing quickly thanks to the large investment in scientific and technological research and infrastructure. There are three Synchrotron Radiation facilities in mainland China, Hefei Light Source (HLS) in the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSRL), Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF) in the Institute of High Energy Physics, and Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) in the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics. More than 10000 users and over 5000 proposals run at these facilities. Among them, many teams from the USA, Japan, German, Italy, Russia, and other countries. More than 3000 manuscript were published in SCI journals, including (incomplete) Science (7), Nature (10), Nature Series (7), PNAS (3), JACS (12), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (15), Nano Lett. (2), etc.In XAFS15, the participants contributed 18 plenary invited talks, 16 parallel invited talks, 136 oral presentations, 12 special talks, and 219 poster presentations. International Conference on Science and Applied Science (Engineering and Educational Science) 2016 (ICSAS 2016) was held at the Syariah Hotel Solo, Surakarta, Indonesia on 19 November 2016. The 9th Conference of Emerging Energy and Process Technology (CONCEPT2021) took place in Johor Baharu, Malaysia, in the period of November 24–25, 2021, at the Institute of Future Energy of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, with the aims to bring together post-graduate students, researchers, academicians, relevant industrial players and government and private agencies to share their latest research interests and confer on the state-of-the-art and future development in the areas of sustainable energy and process technology. Abstract: Science and technology serve as the foundation and the key to effectively carrying out various tasks within the People’s Police forces, particularly in firearm examination. Amidst the rapid advancements of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which is increasingly influencing all sectors, including law enforcement, application of advanced science and technology in firearm examination has become an inevitable necessity. This article focuses on analyzing and assessing the current state of science and technology applications in firearm examination as part of the functional duties assigned to the forensic science force within the People’s Police, and thereby proposes solutions to enhance the efficiency of this work in the future.

With the theme “Empowering Science and Transforming Communities through STEM Education,” SEA-STEM 2020 aims to be a scientific meeting among researchers and educators in STEM fields. In conjunction with the Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand Growth Triangle University Network (IMT-GT UNINET) STEM meeting, SEA-STEM 2020 is also intended to initiate a STEM movement in South East Asia region. The conference was planned to be a part of a one week STEM carnivals where we expected all participants to meet in Universitas Syiah Kuala’s campus. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we should replace the physical conference with the virtual one. The three-day conference has been successfully concluded with 9 keynote speakers and 36 parallel sessions involving 234 presentations. The first keynote session was held on the first day of the conference (October 20, 2021) with three keynote speakers including Prof. Dato’ Noraini Idris (Chair of National STEM Movement Malaysia), Prof. Tom Lowrie (Director of Early Learning STEM Australia), and Assoc. Prof. Rachel Sheffield (Curtin University, Australia) delivered their keynote talks for 40 minutes. On the second day, 50-minute keynote speeches were delivered by Dr. Carol O’Donnell (Director of Smithsonian Science Education Center, USA), Prof. Kiichiro Kagawa (Fukui University, Japan), Dr. Indrawati, M.Pd (Director of SEAMEO Qitep in Science, Indonesia) and Prof. Nasser Mansour (Exeter University, UK and Egypt). On the last day, our USG Partner of the USAID PEER Project Dist. Prof. Eugenia Etkina (the ISLE Inventor-Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University, USA) and her research partner Prof. Gorazd Planinsic (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), in one-hour talks, shared their long-time efforts in developing the Investigative Science Learning Environment (ISLE) approach for instructions and assessments in teaching physics. For keynote sessions we provided a 500-person virtual meeting room and based on the attendance records, about 250-350 participants attended the keynote sessions. On the other hand, for each parallel session, we organized six 100-person virtual meeting rooms that were assigned for parallel talks based on the topics of presentations. In each parallel session meeting room, 4-8 speakers delivered their presentation including the Q&A session in 15 minutes per presenter. Presenters of the conferences are researchers and educators in STEM fields who came from several countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, China, Japan, Hungary, Nigeria, Macedonia, Germany, UK, Egypt, Australia, Slovenia, and the USA. The virtual conference majorly depended on the reliability of the internet connection and the video conferencing and webinars platform. We hired a third party technical team that has successfully handled the technical aspects of the keynote and parallel sessions. We experienced some technical glitches during the opening ceremony and keynote talks on the first day, such as the voice of the keynote speakers and the national anthem cannot be heard, but the technical team learn from this experience and the keynote and parallel sessions on the next days were successfully held without glitches. We received 257 paper submissions and after a careful review process, 165 of the manuscripts are published in this proceedings. The published papers are divided into 7 tracks including Physics & Physics Education, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Biology & Biology Education, Chemistry & Chemistry Education, Technology and Engineering, and STEM Education. We hope that the papers will provide new thoughts, ideas, and inspiration for us to improve STEM education in Indonesia as well as in South East Asia. We learned from this experience that even though the virtual conference was a success, a physical conference would provide more interactive engagements among the presenters and participants. However, we realize that the virtual conference enable us to invite that many experts from all around the world to discuss about STEM and STEM education. This might not be possible if we hold a physical conference. Feedback from participants was mostly positive and a community of scholars and educators who work in STEM research and education consisting of former participants of the conference has been established. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the NAS and USAID and Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Syiah Kuala, which provided the financial support for SEA-STEM 2020. The 2nd International Conference on Applied Mechanics, Materials Physics, and Engineering Structures (MMPES 2024) will be held on July 20-21, 2024 in Wuhan, China. The International Conference on Applied Mechanics, Materials Physics, and Engineering Structures will be held in Wuhan, China on July 20-21, 2024. This conference will focus on the latest research fields such as “Applied Mechanics”, “Material Physics” and “Engineering Structure”, and provide experts, professors, scholars, and engineers from domestic and foreign universities, research institutes, enterprises, and institutions with an international platform to share professional experience, face-to-face communication to showcase its latest research results, discuss key challenges and research directions for development. The conference aims to promote the development and application of theories and technologies in this field in universities and enterprises, and for participants to establish business or research, connect and find global partners for future careers. During the conference, the conference consist of three sessions, including 20 oral presentations, 4 keynote speeches, and 40 poster presentations. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Zoom application in learning Discourse Analysis during the Covid-19 pandemic in the sixth semester of the English Education Department at Muhammadiyah University of Sidenreng Rappang. The data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. This research includes qualitative research with descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research are 30 students. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling, where's the sampling technique is to take 15 students. The results showed that the effectiveness on the use of zoom application in learning discourse analysis during the covid-19 pandemic carried out by students was less effective. Because of the many obstacles experienced during the learning process, such as being constrained by the lack of a network that makes it difficult for students to understand the material presented by the lecturer. As conclusion, zoom application is less able to help in learning, especially online discourse analysis learning.

This research aims to identify business needs related to inventory management of goods at Ellisya stores. Developing a goods inventory information system starting from designing, developing and implementing an information system using information technology principles in managing goods inventory. Increase the accuracy of inventory predictions by assessing information systems' ability to predict inventory needs accurately. Assessing data security and protection by ensuring that the information system complies with data security standards. It provides adequate protection against potential threats to the security of inventory data. Provide recommendations for developing a website-based goods inventory information system. The research method used in this research is the Waterfall development method. This method was chosen because of its clarity and structured stages, which greatly support technology integration to increase inventory management efficiency and accuracy. The research results show that applying technological knowledge in the Goods Inventory Information System using the Waterfall method positively impacts operational efficiency, more accurate inventory predictions, data security, user satisfaction, and financial well-being. Therefore, applying science and technology is an important step to improve the performance and competitiveness of organizations in managing inventory. The research results provide practical implications for improving operational efficiency in inventory management. S&T integration enables real-time monitoring, automation of administrative tasks, and more efficient stock management. The application of science and technology results in stronger data protection, having a positive impact on company reputation and customer trust. The novelty of this research lies in an integrative approach between the application of science and technology and the Waterfall development method. It provides a new perspective on how technology can be applied in the context of structured system development, namely by developing a website-based inventory information system for goods at Ellisya stores

We are very pleased to present to you the Proceedings of the International Conference on Chemical Engineering and Applied Sciences (ICChEAS) 2019. With the theme “Strengthening Innovative Chemical Engineering and Applied Sciences in the Digital Age”, this served as a single platform for academicians, researchers and practitioners to exchange information and knowledge, present new developments and research findings, and develop new networking for future collaborations. The conference taking place in Banda Aceh, the Province of Aceh, Indonesia during 23-24 October 2019 was organized by the Chemical Engineering Department, Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia and co-organized by to the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, the Department of Chemical Engineering of Riau University (UNRI) Indonesia, and Vocational School, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Indonesia.The event was attended by more than 152 participants consisting 68 presentations coming from chemical engineering and its related fields as well as from applied sciences background, either from Indonesia and overseas. The keynote speeches were delivered by internationally acclaimed professors while plenary speakers are distinguished professors from leading local and international institutions.
