Design of a Mobile Client Application Based on Android Platform

With the development and popularization of Internet, distance education has already entered the stage based on Web. Due to the shortcomings of traditional methods in developing Web application, the MVC (model-view-controller) pattern is introduced. The separation of logic programming from interface design is effectively archived by the three kinds of technology correlated with Java: JSP, Servlet and JavaBeans. This paper analyses MVC pattern. On the purpose of the unanimous solution of distance education and commercialization, an improved MVC pattern based on the conventional one is introduced. The practice of developing the distance education system proved the improved pattern is feasible.

Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern is very useful and popular design pattern that separates the modeling of the domain, the presentation, and the actions based on user input into three separate classes. The model acts as the domain that software is built around, the view as the visual representation of a model. It is usually the resulting markup that the framework renders to the browser and the controller responsible for processing input, acting upon the model, and deciding on what action should be performed, such as rendering a view or redirecting to another page for supporting a business models. Hadoop MapReduce paradigm applied for collected the several datasets for generating the large volume of data in batch processing. In this paper enhanced the Hadoop MapReduce for processing large scale and different data set across platform with MVC pattern. In general, the system consists of five mainly methods: 1.) Collected data sources from different platforms such as the registrar system, web mail, web blogs, news and the English Wikipedia that are included in the data file system at local system, 2.) Generate the data into a map slot from input format, 3.) calculate the jobs from the business logic, 4.) Create a data model based on data entity framework, and 5.) Display an user interface for supporting the business interfaces.

This research work focuses on projecting a new changed Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework for imposing the advanced policies to dynamic workflows. Today’s rapid evolution in information and communication technologies affects all sectors, including education, and has a positive impact. As a result, teachers need to use technology effectively and keep up with innovation to meet the needs of the next generation. The college music educational system was always an important part of higher education in China, and the corresponding music curriculum system has gradually been established. This curriculum system has been instrumental in the systematization and standardization of China’s music industry, and it has produced a large number of outstanding musical talents for the country. The goal of this research is to discover advanced and dependable teaching methods. With the growing popularity of mobile intelligent terminal devices and the expanding application of the Android platform, using a mobile intelligent terminal for university courses’ learning has become a more powerful technical feature. Through the development of an intelligent learning application using the Android intelligent platform, students can practice exercises and evaluate themselves, allowing them to analyze their weak points based on their evaluation value, whether in class or after class, and then facilitate their learning. In this paper, I present my original perspectives and proposals on music education in colleges and universities, based on literature, analysis, and study, as well as my years of practical experience. To assure stability of the suggested framework, scalability, and sustainability, I have used the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture. This framework is based on the mobile client of Android that teaches and queries college music remotely and controls smart music. According to the experimental data, online music teaching has a greater learning effect on music skills and enhances traditional music performance by 25%. In terms of increasing interest in musical courses, this online college teaching information platform has the ability to raise 74% of students’ awareness.

Untuk membuat konsep dan perubahan perangkat lunak, dalam pemeliharaan, sekarang telah dikembangkan lebih mudah dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak, pola model-view-controller, yang merupakan arsitektur yang dapat membantu memfasilitasi dalam pengembangan dan pemeliharaan perangkat luna. Hal ini, karena dalam arsitektur model tiga-lapis, yaitu: tampilan dan pengontrolan dalam pembangunan dilakukan secara independen, sehingga dapat memberikan dahan dalam pengembangan dan pemeliharaan. Selain itu, arsitektur ini juga dapat melihat hal-hal yang sederhana dan menarik bagi pengguna. Software sistem on-line test adalah perangkat lunak yang memerlukan interaksi dengan pengguna, dan pemeliharaan perangkat adaptif. Karena sistem ujian on-line memerlukan pengembangan perangkat lunak untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan ini berkembang dengan cepat. Makalah ini untuk menganalisis Model-View-Controller dan mencoba pembangunan, untuk menerapkannya dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak sistem pengujian on-line.

This paper proposed a model editor that can create graphically multiagent models, and a simulator development method using the editor to build multiagent simulators. Development and management of the models became very easy. In addition, reusability of the models also became very high, and simulator platforms could be changed flexibly. The proposed method was applied to some multiagent simulators and the results show that our method is effective in developing multiagent models and simulators. As future problems, we must improve the model diagrams to increase automatic code generation rates, and prepare other templates for various frameworks.

This paper presents a formal development approach for designing interactive applications using a correct-by-construction approach. In this work, we propose a refinement strategy using model-view-controller (MVC) to structure and design Event-B formal models of the interactive application. The proposed MVC-based refinement strategy facilitates the development of an abstract model and a series of refined models by introducing the possible modes, controller’s behaviour and visual components of the interactive application while preserving the required interaction-related safety properties. To demonstrate the effectiveness, scalability, reliability and feasibility of our approach, we use a small example (from automotive domain) and real-life industrial case studies (from aviation). The entire development is realized in Event-B and the associated Rodin tool is used to analyse and verify the correctness of the formalized model. Finally, the developed Event-B models are used to generate source code using EB2ALL tool for going from the specification to the implementation of the interactive application.

The rapid development of information technology has provided significant opportunities to improve the efficiency of academic administration in schools. One of the common problems faced by educational institutions is the manual process of subject scheduling, which is time-consuming and prone to schedule conflicts among teachers, classes, and learning time. This problem is also experienced by SMPK Flos Carmeli, where the preparation of subject schedules has not yet been supported by an integrated computerized system. This study aims to design and develop a web-based subject scheduling application at SMPK Flos Carmeli using the Model–View–Controller (MVC) architecture. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) with the Waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, and application implementation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review to obtain system requirements that align with the school’s conditions. The application was developed using native PHP with the implementation of the MVC pattern to produce a structured, maintainable, and flexible system. The results show that the developed application is able to support the subject scheduling process in a faster, more accurate, and well-organized manner. The system provides features for managing teacher data, class data, time slots, schedule arrangement, and schedule printing, thereby minimizing schedule conflicts and improving the efficiency of school administrative work. Therefore, this subject scheduling application is expected to support the digitalization of academic administration and enhance the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process at SMPK Flos Carmeli.

Computer graphics in combination with mobile devices find much use in the fields of entertainment, education and data displaying. The amount of information that is possible to provide to the user depends greatly on the optimization of graphic chain in the development of given application. There is a large area of web based software solutions where the speed and fluency of visualization and rendering are the most important parameters of user satisfaction when using of mobile client application. The important element is simplification of the scene by removing objects that are not currently visible. The methods that can be used as a solution for these problems are frustum culling, occlusion culling and level of detail. The work describes implementation of the first of mentioned methods on the Android platform and it includes a comparison of results from different devices when displaying a complicated 3D scene.

Boarding houses has its own problems in finding. The problems are boarding house location, price, facilities, surrounding environment and time to gather about boarding houses information. Landlords of boarding house also have its own problems, like disseminate information about the boarding houses is limited. Mobile application of boarding houses and support facilities is built to solve the problem in finding suitable boarding houses and also to inform the others about the boarding houses. The method used is the client-server based waterfall model. Application server side’s use the PHP programming language (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor) and web services Json and MYSQL for Database Management Systems (DBMS). Application client side’s use the java programming language and java script that can run on the android platform. The design application of boarding houses and support facilities is based android to generate three applications which are one server and two application client. The first client application has function to search information of boarding houses. In modern complex enterprise applications re-usability and interoperability of software components are of vital importance due to the increasing heterogeneous development platforms and variety of end user devices in which computational services need to be exposed. The need of code solutions re-usability led to the development of Design Patterns, which are means to encapsulate proven solutions to recurrent problems and they provide developers with a common language to abstract the logic encrypted under source code implementation structures. In this article we focus on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. Although it represented a step forward for components re-usability, the model and view are still coupled compromising the business logic and introducing a degree of complexity for the applications development. We discuss two main variations of the MVC pattern that are aiming to complete decoupling of Model from View, as well as platforms supporting the development of MVC based applications. Our research is based on the original Virtual-MVC design pattern, in which we model the controller as middleware to achieve full decoupling of the model from view. A geotagged Short Message Service (SMS), such as those following Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Open GeoSMS (OGS) standard, is useful for many applications that require location based services field work. In OGS specification, a geotag is used as a hyperlink for retrieving detail information of given target at given location. This feature meets the interoperation requirements of time-sensitive, location-aware notification and monitoring services. This feature can give service providers to design more various and useful service scenarios, and these requirements make importantly to develop vendor specific Apps for realizing these service scenarios. A design pattern for OGS mobile client Apps will help to develop the Apps with relatively less effort. This paper focuses on a design for an OGS mobile client App and shows a Connector-Translator-Launcher (CTL) flow for smartphone environments. The CTL flow based mobile client App is based on Model-View-Controller (MVC) model. It applies pluggable modules for connecting geospatial services pointed by each geotag and translating geospatial content retrieved from such services. The App displays details information specified by a geotag following the OGS. The Android-based mobile client App was developed for OGC's OGC Web Services, Phase 8 (OWS-8). It was applied as a mobile tracking client in geospatial web service testbed scenarios for the Observation Fusion (Tracking) thread. Two pluggable modules were developed for the scenario application. One is a connector module for connecting to a track server, and another is a translator module for translating track information for displaying on map views.

The term Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) describes various layperson-based, geo-collaboration projects to collect, maintain, and visualize information. VGI has been successfully utilized in scenarios such as emergency response and is also increasingly integrated into commercial products. Based on an analysis of existing projects and research, we propose to extend the idea of VGI by introducing Volunteered Geographic Services (VGS). Instead of contributing information, volunteers can request or offer microservices to their local community. We provide a flexible server framework that handles service requests and offers. We also implement a smartphone application developed using Google's Android platform. The server and mobile client are realized following the Linked Data paradigm and using Semantic Web technologies. In this paper, we discuss the idea behind VGS, motivate it using two scenarios, and explain the technical realization.

The main factors affecting the performance of Local Water Company (LWC) when managing consumable water distribution in Indonesia are non-revenue water, less water usage effectiveness, less efficiency of billing records and customer complaints about services not becoming available for up to 24 hours. The factor happens because the process is still done manually. So errors and fraud are often found. This research aims to provide a solution by proposing the design of an LWC recording and billing system with a practical and safe prepaid Self-Service method. The prepaid Self-Service process is divided into two main functions. First, the real-time calculation function is designed to solve the efficiency problem in recording water usage. Second, the self-payment token's process is designed to resolve data processing and bill payment constraints. It generated tokens for self-payment token functions built using the Vernam Cipher Cryptographic Algorithm. An Android platform with an Arduino IDE is used in this system. A token will be sent to other devices through Bluetooth serial communication. The results were successfully performed using the Vernam Cipher Cryptographic Algorithm for the self-payment token function. The encryption token consisting of 48 characters can be automatically transferred to other devices using Bluetooth serial communication. The encryption process takes about 0.34 seconds, and the decryption takes about 0.20 seconds.
