Shoe Damage Identification System Using the Cosine Method in Web-Based K2n Store

PT. Sinarta Karya Papua, a medium-scale enterprise in Eastern Indonesia, faces operational challenges due to its reliance on manual sales recording systems, leading to data duplication, delayed reporting, and limited information transparency. This hinders operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. This study aims to develop a web-based sales management information system addressing these issues using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, selected for its rapid prototyping and iterative adaptation to user needs. Data was gathered through field observations, semi-structured interviews with staff and management, and literature reviews on information systems and RAD. The system was developed with PHP and MySQL to ensure flexibility and reliable data management. Findings demonstrate the successful integration of sales transaction processing, customer management, inventory control, and real-time reporting modules. Comprehensive functional testing (Blackbox Testing) confirmed 100% operational accuracy across all features, significantly improving record-keeping efficiency and information accessibility. The primary contribution lies in implementing RAD within Papua's unique business context—an underexplored area in existing literature. The system delivers a practical solution for PT. Sinarta Karya Papua while serving as a reference model for similar enterprises in geographically challenging regions. Key implications include enhanced organizational competitiveness through digital transformation and the potential replication of this framework across other business sectors in Eastern Indonesia.

This research employs the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which focuses on fast and iterative system development. The research stages include needs analysis, system design using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), prototype development, testing, and system implementation. The evaluation involved expert validators and users, using a Likert scale to assess efficiency, effectiveness, security, and satisfaction. The results indicate that the web-based queuing system successfully reduced patient waiting times by up to 30%, improved scheduling accuracy, and minimized manual errors. The system’s implementation also accelerated radiology expertise processes through RIS and MRI modality integration, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and user satisfaction. System validation achieved a reliability level of 100%, with an average user satisfaction score of 4.50 on a scale of 5.

Salon is a form of business associated with beauty care, face, hair, and others for both men and women. Salon became the type of business in the interest of business by utilizing social networking, ads, brochures, and websites to promote the salon. E-salon is a marketplace website which facilitates the salon in terms of delivery the salon promotion and salon service sales. Salon provides a salon service to come home and can open many new jobs. To solve this problem, a website was developed using programming language such as HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap 3, and PHP, and using MySQL or known as MariaDB for data storage. The website was developed using Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology approach. Effective inventory management is a critical component for ensuring smooth operational continuity, especially in a healthcare setting where timely access to supplies directly impacts patient care. At Bhakti Yudha Hospital, this vital process is hampered by its reliance on manual, spreadsheet-based tracking. This traditional approach is highly susceptible to human error, resulting in significant data inaccuracies and a critical lack of real-time stock visibility, which can ultimately compromise service delivery. To overcome these challenges, a web-based inventory monitoring information system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, chosen for its rapid and iterative prototyping capabilities. Modeled with UML diagrams, the system is designed to automate data entry, enhance accuracy, and provide transparent, role-based stock information for both administrators and general users. Key features include an analytical dashboard for strategic oversight, automated low-stock notifications to prevent shortages, and versatile PDF report generation for documentation. Comprehensive black-box testing has confirmed that all core functionalities perform as expected, meeting the initial requirements. This positions the system as an effective solution to significantly optimize the reliability and efficiency of the inventory management process at Bhakti Yudha Hospital.

Abstract. In the rapidly evolving vehicle repair service industry, an effective management system is essential to enhance operational efficiency. This study aims to develop a web-based management system using Laravel and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. The system is designed to assist in transaction recording, service management, and automatic invoice generation. The RAD methodology enables flexible and iterative development tailored to user needs. Laravel was chosen for its capabilities in database management, security aspects, and scalability. The system's key features include an automated cashier, service management, and invoice creation and printing. Testing results indicate that this system improves transaction efficiency, provides more accurate financial reports, and minimizes recording errors. By implementing this system, vehicle repair businesses are expected to enhance competitiveness, accelerate service delivery, and offer a better customer experience. The adoption of information technology in workshop management serves as a strategic solution to meet the challenges of the digital era.

This study presents the design and implementation of a web-based food ordering system developed to address persistent inefficiencies in university food service operations. Conducted at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria, the research engaged students, food vendors, and administrative staff to assess existing challenges and user needs. Guided by the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, the system was built through iterative prototyping and continuous user feedback to ensure functionality, usability, and relevance. System performance was evaluated by comparing the speed and accuracy of digital order processing with traditional manual methods. Findings revealed that the digital platform significantly reduced processing time and minimized errors associated with handwritten or verbal orders. Usability testing using a standardized evaluation instrument further showed high user acceptance and overall positive interaction with the system. The study concludes that the developed platform enhances operational efficiency, reliability, and user satisfaction in campus food services, while also contributing to ongoing efforts toward digital transformation within higher education institutions.

Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) aims to facilitate improvement on how management determines the performance of employees. The system is designed to develop a centralized tool to create, supervise, and monitor the performance of employees and heads of offices who are both teaching and non-teaching staff through the completion of their Office Performance Commitment Review (OPCRs) and Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCRs). The system used the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology of developing the project. It is a development lifecycle designed to give faster development and higher-quality results than those achieved with the traditional lifecycle. The prototype development process consists of a series of design and builds steps in which the users have the opportunity to fine-tune the requirements and review the resulting software implementation. In addition to the tested software, construction stage deliverables include documentation and instructions necessary to operate the new application, routines, and procedures needed to put the system into operation. The web-based SPMS is user-friendly which means the suggested forms for organizational and individual commitments and performance are similar and easy to complete. The office, division, and individual major final outputs and success indicators are aligned to cascade organizational goals to individual employees and harmonize organizational and staff performance ratings.

This study explores the development and evaluation of a web-based enrollment appraisal system utilizing a rule-based decision support system for universities and colleges. Designed for the context of Antique, Philippines, the system leverages a two-tier architecture for efficient processing and secure data management. A user-friendly interface guides applicants through the enrollment process, while a secure server and rule-based engine analyze data against pre-defined eligibility criteria. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology ensured a user-centered design with iterative development cycles incorporating user feedback. Evaluations using McCall's Software Quality Standard and the International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 25010 standard revealed the system's strengths in technical aspects (security, usability) and overall functionality. User feedback highlighted areas for improvement in interface design, clarity, and user perceptions of data security. The study concludes that the system offers a promising approach for more efficient and transparent enrollment processes. By addressing the feedback received, the system can be further enhanced to improve the user experience and build trust among applicants.

In recent years, the number and scope of events in the Asia and Middle East / North Africa region has increased significantly. Events are one of the things that attracts the attention of foreign tourists to come to visit a country as a tourist destination. Refers toMinister of Tourism Regulation Number 2 Year 2017on Guidelines for Venues for Meetings, Incentive Trips, Conventions and Exhibitions, explains that criteria and indicators are needed to increase the competitiveness of venues for meetings, incentive trips, conventions and exhibitions at the regional and global levels. This is done to increase the number of visits, length of stay, and expenditures for domestic and foreign tourists. Therefore, visual indicators or data are needed that can present the location of the event and a list of events in DKI Jakarta. From these problems, this study aims to produce a web-based spatial information system for the distribution of tourism industry events to map event locations in DKI Jakarta. This paper describes an investigation into the diffusion of information systems development methods (ISDMs). We portray method diffusion as an instance of technological diffusion. Technological diffusion is normally portrayed within the IS industry as an overtly rational process. In this paper, we postulate that the external diffusion process of ISDMs has many features in common with broader social movements and test a model of knowledge-based diffusion. We use the case of the recent history of the dynamic systems development method (DSDM), a public domain standard methodology for rapid application development (RAD), to illustrate some of the key features of method diffusion processes within a UK context.

Flooding remains one of the most destructive natural hazards affecting urban communities in the Philippines, particularly those located near major river systems. This study presents the design, development, and evaluation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Flood Early Warning System (FEWS) for Barangay Doña Imelda, Quezon City, an area highly vulnerable to recurring floods. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for water-level measurement, a Neo-6M GPS module for geolocation, and a Ra-01 LoRa module for long-range data transmission. Real-time water-level data are transmitted to a cloud-based database and visualized through a web dashboard and an Android mobile application, enabling timely dissemination of flood alerts to residents and local authorities. A simple linear regression model is incorporated to forecast short-term water-level trends, enhancing preparedness and response capability. The system is powered by solar energy to ensure continuous operation during power interruptions. Development followed the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology to support iterative prototyping and user-centered design. System evaluation using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) yielded an overall weighted mean of 4.52, indicating high user acceptance in terms of perceived usefulness, ease of use, and behavioral intention to use. Compliance assessment based on ISO 22328-1 resulted in an overall weighted mean of 4.45, demonstrating strong conformity with international standards for community-based early warning systems. The results confirm that the proposed FEWS effectively enhances flood preparedness, supports informed decision-making, and contributes to community resilience.

PT. Abra, a property development company specializing in residential housing, faces challenges in selecting strategic land for its projects, often leading to inefficiencies in decision-making. The main issue is the lack of an integrated system to assess multiple criteria, such as location, price, accessibility, and infrastructure availability. To overcome this, a Decision Support System (DSS) is developed using the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method, enabling systematic evaluation based on predefined criteria. The system follows the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which consists of requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover phases, ensuring flexibility and efficiency. A MySQL database is used for structured data management, while Blackbox testing is conducted to validate system functionality, ensuring accuracy and reliability. The results show that the DSS improves decision-making efficiency, reduces selection errors, and optimizes land acquisition for residential projects. Furthermore, it enhances transparency in land selection by providing real-time data analysis and ranking of potential locations. This research contributes to the real estate sector by improving strategic planning, resource allocation, and overall project success, providing a structured and effective approach to optimizing land selection processes.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has led to increased online learning for students, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). However, the need for social distancing has interrupted the delivery of continuing education for ASD children. ASD emerges in early childhood, which may cause interruptions in numerous essential areas of progress in daily life. Therefore, we proposed a mobile game, namely Basic Daily Life (BasLife) game, for ASD children. The game offered positive affection and an enjoyable experience in learning sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was implemented to produce the BasLife game. The RAD methodology consists of four phases: Requirement Planning Phase, User Design Phase, Development Phase, and Cutover Phase. The EGame Flow Model was applied as a guideline to develop an enjoyable game during the User Design Phase and Development Phase. Keenly, the study results produce theBasLifegame as a learning approach for ASD children that would tackle the interpersonal skills and create an enjoyable learning experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aims to analyze and design an Inventory Management Information System (IMIS) for PT. XYZ, a company that currently relies on manual inventory processes, leading to inefficiencies and operational delays. To address these challenges, the IMIS was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which followed three key stages: requirements planning, design workshop, and implementation. In the requirements planning stage, comprehensive user needs and system specifications were gathered. During the user design phase, iterative prototyping and continuous feedback sessions helped refine the system’s interface and functionalities. The rapid construction phase saw the development of core features—such as real-time inventory tracking, automated restocking alerts, and detailed transaction histories—using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL. Finally, in the cutover phase, pilot testing demonstrated that the system reduced material search times from 15–30 minutes to nearly instantaneous retrieval, significantly improving inventory accuracy and overall operational efficiency. Further research is needed to evaluate its long-term performance and scalability. This study not only highlights the practical advantages of the RAD-based approach but also offers a promising model for organizations seeking to modernize their inventory management practices.

It is hoped that with this migration, manual practicessuch as recording stock using books and collecting data on daily sales transactions using MicrosoftExcel worksheets, can be integrated. Apart from that, differences between the stock of goods in thewarehouse and the inventory records can be avoided. In other words, documentation of goodsentering and exiting the warehouse and in the store is neat and the information provided has muchhigher accuracy. The proposed solution is an integrated inventory management informationsystem between warehouses and stores. This proposed information system can also help with dailyoperational activities including selling and purchasing goods. With this information system, it ishoped that safety stock conditions can be achieved to anticipate indirect losses due to lack of stock.The research was conducted using qualitative research methodology. Meanwhile, systemdevelopment follows the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, especially thePrototyping method. The results of testing using the black-box method show that the web-basedinventory management information system that was built can provide more accurate informationon goods in and out than the manual system. For further development, this system can be equippedwith features providing stock status information through the creation of an online shop as well asinstant notifications for warehouse managers regarding requests for goods from store managers.
