Introduction from the ChairThe 2nd International Conference on Computing and Applied Informatics organized by Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Medan, Indonesia is published by IOPPin the UK and indexed by Scopus. This international forum provides an opportunity for the community of computer science, information technology and engineering to share and discuss their current area of research.Area of research in this conference includes: (1) Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Data Mining, (2) Smart City, E-government, E-commerce, E-health (3) Bio Informatics, Socio Informatics, GIS, Information Security, (4) Human Computer Interaction, Augmented Reality, Image Vision, Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Generation, and (5) Software Engineering, Computer Graphics and Networking.There are 248 papers submitted to this conference and have reviewed by reviewers according to their respective field of interest. The acceptance rate of the paper is 123 (49.5%). First of all, thank Allah SWT. the ICIME is the second International Conference on Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering by the Industrial Engineering Department, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) can be held successfully. This year International Conference on Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering was implemented slightly differently from the previous year because the COVID 19 pandemic infected the entire world, held from 3th to 4th September 2020 through a web conference, although it cannot be held face-to-face this activity is still carried out as the previous year. This conference is an extended collaboration between Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) to intensify knowledge sharing and experiences between higher learning institutions.This ICIME Conference is a platform for knowledge exchange and the growth of ideas, particularly in manufacturing engineering with rapid advancements in manufacturing engineering. This year, 2020, the conference theme is “Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Experiences and Challenges in ASEAN” reflecting the role of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing to be developed for industries that can compete in the international sphere especially ASEAN. The previous conference had been published 155 paper in IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering. The conference was run in seven parallel sessions with 161 presenters sharing their latest finding in the areas of manufacturing process, systems, advanced materials and automation. The importance of using Information and Communication Technology can increase our role in the Modern Era among academics, which is one of the driving factors to be able to compete in the digital world. The use of technology is not only for social media, but the use of technology has an important role in the world of work today. The increasingly rapid development of technology has created many changes and updates in every field. One of the applications most widely used and needed by society is Data Science. Data Science is a multi-disciplinary science that is very widely used in both exact and social fields. To make your job search easier, Data Scientist certification is required. This of course requires someone who is competent in their field. Today's young generations should be worthy of having these competencies. Based on the above, the lecturers at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Mercu Buana contributed to providing a coaching understanding in the application of Information and Communication Technology to increase knowledge in the Modern Era among academics so that they can equip the younger generation to have certification in the field of information technology, especially Data Scientists. This activity or training is a form of concern and is also one of the duties as a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science who understands information technology, especially in the field of Data Science.

With the theme “Empowering Science and Transforming Communities through STEM Education,” SEA-STEM 2020 aims to be a scientific meeting among researchers and educators in STEM fields. In conjunction with the Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand Growth Triangle University Network (IMT-GT UNINET) STEM meeting, SEA-STEM 2020 is also intended to initiate a STEM movement in South East Asia region. The conference was planned to be a part of a one week STEM carnivals where we expected all participants to meet in Universitas Syiah Kuala’s campus. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we should replace the physical conference with the virtual one. The three-day conference has been successfully concluded with 9 keynote speakers and 36 parallel sessions involving 234 presentations. The first keynote session was held on the first day of the conference (October 20, 2021) with three keynote speakers including Prof. Dato’ Noraini Idris (Chair of National STEM Movement Malaysia), Prof. Tom Lowrie (Director of Early Learning STEM Australia), and Assoc. Prof. Rachel Sheffield (Curtin University, Australia) delivered their keynote talks for 40 minutes. On the second day, 50-minute keynote speeches were delivered by Dr. Carol O’Donnell (Director of Smithsonian Science Education Center, USA), Prof. Kiichiro Kagawa (Fukui University, Japan), Dr. Indrawati, M.Pd (Director of SEAMEO Qitep in Science, Indonesia) and Prof. Nasser Mansour (Exeter University, UK and Egypt). On the last day, our USG Partner of the USAID PEER Project Dist. Prof. Eugenia Etkina (the ISLE Inventor-Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University, USA) and her research partner Prof. Gorazd Planinsic (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), in one-hour talks, shared their long-time efforts in developing the Investigative Science Learning Environment (ISLE) approach for instructions and assessments in teaching physics. For keynote sessions we provided a 500-person virtual meeting room and based on the attendance records, about 250-350 participants attended the keynote sessions. On the other hand, for each parallel session, we organized six 100-person virtual meeting rooms that were assigned for parallel talks based on the topics of presentations. In each parallel session meeting room, 4-8 speakers delivered their presentation including the Q&A session in 15 minutes per presenter. Presenters of the conferences are researchers and educators in STEM fields who came from several countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, China, Japan, Hungary, Nigeria, Macedonia, Germany, UK, Egypt, Australia, Slovenia, and the USA. The virtual conference majorly depended on the reliability of the internet connection and the video conferencing and webinars platform. We hired a third party technical team that has successfully handled the technical aspects of the keynote and parallel sessions. We experienced some technical glitches during the opening ceremony and keynote talks on the first day, such as the voice of the keynote speakers and the national anthem cannot be heard, but the technical team learn from this experience and the keynote and parallel sessions on the next days were successfully held without glitches. We received 257 paper submissions and after a careful review process, 165 of the manuscripts are published in this proceedings. The published papers are divided into 7 tracks including Physics & Physics Education, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Biology & Biology Education, Chemistry & Chemistry Education, Technology and Engineering, and STEM Education. We hope that the papers will provide new thoughts, ideas, and inspiration for us to improve STEM education in Indonesia as well as in South East Asia. We learned from this experience that even though the virtual conference was a success, a physical conference would provide more interactive engagements among the presenters and participants. However, we realize that the virtual conference enable us to invite that many experts from all around the world to discuss about STEM and STEM education. This might not be possible if we hold a physical conference. Feedback from participants was mostly positive and a community of scholars and educators who work in STEM research and education consisting of former participants of the conference has been established. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the NAS and USAID and Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Syiah Kuala, which provided the financial support for SEA-STEM 2020. The previous 1st International Conference on Electronics and Communication, Network and Computer Technology (ECNCT 2019) was successfully taken place on November 15-17, 2019 in Shenzhen, China. More than 10 scientists and experts from overseas gave frontiers speech and 130 scholars participated in ECNCT 2019. All accepted papers were published in Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) (ISSN:1742-6588) and were submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.The 2020 2nd International Conference on Electronics and Communication, Network and Computer Technology (ECNCT 2020) was successfully held in Chengdu, China during October 23-25, 2020. ECNCT 2020 provided an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Electronics and Communication, Network and Computer Technology. Original papers are invited on Electronics and Communication, Network and Computer Technology, Computer Networks, Wireless networks and mobile computing. The conference provides a high level national and international research for scholars, scientists, researchers, and engineers to present their results in the field of engineering, computer science and art and design. Submission of information can use 3-dimensional (3D) images that will make information clearer and more interesting. Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FKTI) one of the faculties located at Mulawarman University. Base rooms and laboratories are often used and if someone wants to do peripherals then he will look for additional peripherals. However, they do not have a device that can be used to know the pattern of each room function and the learning environment must have additional devices to facilitate the use of Augmented Reality 3D media. Therefore, it is necessary to have augmented reality media to provide an understanding of visual information for the faculty room and the basic laboratory of the FKTI program. Each scheme of determining markers is adjusted to the point where the camera will scan. Tests are carried out to show the results are done on plain paper that already has their own floor plan and in each room partition can display basic information about the room. Light testing is also done with the result that if the light is $\gt300$ lux then it can be ascertained that AR visibility will appear quickly.

This paper aims to study and address the phenomenon of low level of students in the university compared to their level in the secondary stage, through the study sample represented in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Al-Neelain University (Batch 2019) using the statistical package (SPSS) and using its outputs to help decision makers to choose optimal solutions to address this phenomenon.

This paper describes the programming courses curriculum implemented by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), University of Malaya (UM) from the year 1995 to the present time. It explains the idea and logic behind the various programming courses offered at the faculty, the changes that the programming courses went through throughout the years, and also the future plans that FCSIT shall take with regards to the programming courses offered. It also discusses the students' performance in the core programming courses throughout the years; taking into account the feedback from companies that offered placements to students during their industrial training, and also their examination results.

Possibilities for Organizing Group Work for Computer Science Students

On behalf of the organizing committee of the 3rd TICATE 2020, I would like to welcome all delegates to attend this international conference with great pleasure. In the concern of COVID-19 pandemic, this international conference is being held virtually from August 3rd – 4th, 2020 from Campus I of Universitas Tarumanagara at Jl. Letjen S. Parman No. 1, Jakarta 11440, Indonesia. The 3rd TICATE 2020 is organized by Universitas Tarumanagara and technically sponsored by IOP Publishing. The reason why this conference was changed to virtual format is that due to COVID-19 Pandemic, there are travel restrictions and social distancing ruled by almost all governments in the world, including Indonesian government. We still hold partially the physical presentations regarding the healthy protocols suggested by World Health Organization.Instead of being postponed, we still hold this international conference virtually using Zoom Meeting because this conference is a forum for engineers, academics, practitioners, and students to exchange their experiences and knowledge. Many innovations and developments are being created from the last event to this one. These need to be shared among stake holders in the field of engineering and technology. Therefore, there is an urgent need to publish the newest results of researches in the conference proceedings.The 3rd TICATE 2020 has attracted many academicians, scientists, engineers, postgraduates and other professionals from many countries. This conference accepted 217 papers from 5 different countries, those are Australia, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The aim of the conference is to promote exchange of ideas among engineers, researchers, and scientists active in the related areas of technology and engineering.Our special thank goes to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. The participants, including presenters at the parallel sessions, are attending this virtual international conference from Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Yogyakarta, Aceh, Depok, Surabaya, etc.), Kuala Lumpur, Pulau Pinang (Malaysia), Australia, Taiwan, and India.The virtual format of the 3rd TICATE 2020 still provides very satisfying overall technical quality of the conference, e.g. in presenting the articles. Because we used Zoom Meeting as the platform and a good internet connection to hold this virtual conference, the conference can be attended by about 500 participants from 5 countries without any problem.We would like also to thank our partner international and national Universities in contributing and participating in this international conference. To the Problem of Using the Information and Computer Technology for Specialist's Competitive Training in High School

Radiological protection is based on the assumption that any additional exposure to ionizing radiation produces an increased risk of stochastic adverse health effects. The ICRP has adopted linear no-threshold (LNT) dose-response relationships to derive health risks associated with low doses of radiation and this implies that the risks of cancer and hereditary effects are directly proportional to the dose received, no matter how small the dose. The LNT assumption has been criticised over the years both by those who consider that it underestimates the risk and by those who believe that it is overly conservative. A few years ago, most of the pressure on ICRP came from those who believed that the risks per unit dose adopted at low doses were too small, but in recent years the pressure has been coming from the opposite direction. Strictly speaking, ICRP feels that the most likely form of the dose-response relationship for low LET radiation is linear-quadratic (i.e. sub-linear at low doses), and for cancer they approximate this by two linear relations, that for the low dose region having a slope (risk per unit dose) half of that for the high dose region, represented by a DDREF of 2. Nevertheless, there are those (particularly in the US and France) who argue that there is no direct evidence for stochastic effects being produced by low doses of radiation, and that the appropriate dose-response relationship has a threshold dose below which no risk to health exists, or even that low doses of radiation are beneficial (`radiation hormesis').
