Visual communication design and space design is discussed in this paper the complementary relationship between, it is worth mentioning that the visual communication design can be a good blend of collision and space design, so the analysis of the blend mode in the design of visual communication design elements in space, and space visual design elements of law, more reasonable and effective use of visual communication design elements in space design activities for better design services, become a carrier capacity and environmental design in visual communication design concept, therefore, in the design of the two classify, between the two cannot be away from each other, can only promote better design complement each other. As is known to all, the most direct contact between human beings in this world is vision, also known as sight and sight, followed by hearing, smelling and tasting. Therefore, the more intuitive feelings of human beings will be conveyed by vision. In 1960, the term ＂visual communication＂ popular in the world design congress held in Japan, including printed newspapers and magazines, posters and other promotional material design, and television, movies, electronic billboards and other media, through the eyes to convey to the brain for modelling of expressive design is widely referred to as visual communication design, there's a phrase can express: show people design, design. Moreover, in the design of contemporary exhibition space, visual communication design elements are often used. These design elements not only have the function of transmitting information, but also have unlimited commercial value and propaganda effect. Left the concept of positioning, space design is only the so-called functional platter; Ignore the visual communication of visual language, no matter how good the environment will be due to graphic design style gap and left a failure. As we know, one of the most important functions of visual communication design elements is to help present the most complete visual effect in the spatial display. The organic connection between visual communication design and display space design not only harmonizes the relationship between two-dimensional plane and three-dimensional space environment, but also expands the cooperation between subjects and strengthens the research space between the two design disciplines. Only in this way can designers solve complex and comprehensive problems and help designers make full use of their advantages to create better works.

27 office workers participated in a controlled field trial of a novel computer mouse design. Usability, performance and discomfort measures were taken prior to, during and post a 2 week trial period. Usability was assessed using rating scales based on Davis's Perceived Ease of Use Scale and ISO/DIS 9241-9 draft standard. Performance was measured as time to complete a series of standardised word processing tasks. Body parts discomfort was measured by visual analogue discomfort scales. Workers tended to find the vertical mouse less easy to use, especially in ease of movement. Performance with the vertical mouse tended to be slightly slower. Discomfort tended to be slightly lower for some workers during vertical mouse use.

The relevance of the research stemmed from the positive role that colour-changing materials played in smart packaging design. It not only addressed consumers’ demand for interactive packaging experiences but also enhanced the additional value of packaging design. The purpose of this study was to explore the current applications and development trends of colour-changing materials in smart packaging design. It was investigated how these materials can be used to convey product information, improve user experience, and increase the functional value of packaging. This study employed the following methods: literary and empirical analysis. Case study analysis and visual analysis methods were applied to examine visual effects. The research systematically analysed how different brands (Anrealage, Disney, Phillips Distilling, Maeil Milk, Leaf Bandage, Warm Me, McDonald’s, Yuan Qi Forest, Coors Light, Naked, Coca-Cola, Lipton, Monster Party) utilised colour-changing materials in their packaging designs and the visual effects achieved. The synergistic innovation space of colour-changing materials in smart packaging design was confirmed. The study revealed that most brands’ smart packaging employed two types of materials: photochromic and thermochromic. These materials exhibited reversible colour changes under external stimuli, which enabled real-time visualisation of product quality, temperature variations, and anti-counterfeiting verification. It generated visual signalling, enhanced brand differentiation, and transformed conventional packaging design. Furthermore, the research also identified a new method that supports customisable colour-changing materials, which provided both theoretical and practical advancements in this field. The practical significance of this study lies in the application of colour-changing materials in smart packaging design, which enhances the entertainment value and interactive function of packaging, and will contribute to the market competitiveness of packaging products and the development of the industry.

With the continuous development of China’s social economy, the competitiveness of brand market is gradually increasing. In order to improve their own level in brand building, major enterprises gradually explore and study visual communication design. Brand visual design has also received more and more attention. Building a complete and rich visual design system can improve the brand level and attract users to consume. Based on the abovementioned situation, this paper proposes to use collaborative filtering algorithm to analyze and study brand visual design. Firstly, a solution is proposed to solve the problem of low accuracy of general recommendation algorithm in brand goods. Collaborative filtering algorithm is used to analyze the visual communication design process of enterprise brand. Research on personalized image design according to consumers’ trust and recognition of brand design is conducted. In traditional craft brand visual design, we mainly study the impact of image design on consumer behavior. The brand loyalty model is used to predict and analyze the visual design effect. Also, the user’s evaluation coefficient is taken as the expression of brand visual design recognition. Finally, the collaborative filtering algorithm is optimized to improve the consumer similarity based on the original algorithm. The results show that the brand visual design using collaborative filtering algorithm can help enterprises obtain greater benefits in their own brand construction. It provides effective data help in the development of traditional craft brands.

As advancements in language model-powered text-to-image AI platforms accelerate, individuals can increasingly generate high-fidelity visual content more efficiently, regardless of background. These platforms are powerful tools for rapidly iterating and visualizing packaging design concepts. This study assesses whether AI-generated milk package designs, steered by academic packaging research, will produce packaging outcomes that perform equal to or better than human-designed outcomes with minimal designer input. For this study, researchers curated, summarized, and combined leading academic articles on packaging design into textual AI-prompts. The textual prompts were input into the platform RunDiffusion to generate visual milk packaging designs. The images created by the platform were reviewed by 48 human participants and compared to existing, human-made milk packaging designs to determine which designs perform better according to metrics used in a previously published study at E&PDE ‘23. The survey results indicate that the human designs slightly outperformed the AI designs in purchase likelihood and most other categories when including all survey participants. However, when non-milk users (those who rarely or never drink milk) were excluded from the results, the AI designs slightly outperformed the human designs regarding purchase likelihood. This outcome suggests that AI platforms can efficiently produce packaging design outcomes that can compete with human designs. Further, it is important that design educators understand the implications of these results, suggesting that AI platforms will increasingly be used in design workflows and academic training.

Research begins with the development of computer technology in particular has been used as a medium of learning Packaging Design Using CorelDraw programs in various fields of one form of education in the field of Fine Arts Visual Communication Design Study Program. This requires education student majoring in Fine Arts Communication Design Visual Languages and Arts Faculty, State University of Padang to be able to utilize these technologies in the field of Packaging Design, as computer technology has become a necessity for people, especially in the field of product design food packaging and logo design, research this development method, which is to design and make a product logo and packaging design as well as media advertising, then tested the feasibility of the students of Communication Design Visual Arts UNP Padang. Design and manufacture of this learning module using the CorelDraw X4 software. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire given to faculty and student responses to the questionnaire module packaging design. Questionnaires were made regarding the form, content, motivation and practical learning modules, questionnaire data were analyzed using the SPSS formula. From these results, the learning module packaging design in graphic design courses is valid.

In the modern business environment, enterprises are escalating their continual investments in new product development to maintain competitive advantage and ensure sustainable growth.In this context, the importance of TRIZ (theory of creative problem-solving) is being emphasized.Altshuller declared the completion of TRIZ with the introduction of ARIZ-85C.As a result, ARIZ-85C has come to occupy a symbolic position within TRIZ, being recognized by its users as the quintessential tool for problem-solving.However, real-world case studies for learning and applying the ARIZ-85C still need to be improved.In light of this, this study endeavors to lessen this gap by implementing ARIZ-85C to address the 'Computer Mouse Operative Area Constraint Problem'.The proposed mouse solution in this study is a design with a 'control surface' mounted on the top of the mouse, which is a fixed mouse that manipulates the cursor movement on the screen by detecting the user's handling of the 'control surface'.This solution eliminates spatial constraints and provides convenience for users.Through the application case presented in this study, the tangible efficacy of ARIZ-85C has been validated.It is anticipated that this study will furnish useful guidelines and insights for researchers and developers endeavoring the learning and application of ARIZ-85C.

Visual Communication Research Designs provides a step-by-step guide for designing research involving visuals relevant to communications media. This volume explains the process from conceptualization to research questions, instrumentation, analysis, and reliability and validity checks. It also addresses the lack of sufficient methods to answer  theoretical questions attending visual communication. This resource has been developed in response to the circumstance in which, in many cases, the methodologies used for verbal and textual communications are inappropriate or ineffective when applied or adapted for the study of visual communications. Additionally, research articles from ethnography, action research, rhetoric, semiotics, psychology, cultural studies, and critical theory often do not use examples appropriate to visual communication readers. To address these issues, this book explains in clear and straightforward language key research designs, including new methodologies, that are appropriate for scholars and students conducting visual communication research. Organized into three parts -- production, analysis, and effects of visuals – this research text provides guidance in using, interpreting and measuring the effects of visual images. It addresses such topics as: producing photographs and video that can be used as research data; interpreting images that already exist; measuring the effects of visuals and to understand their use by different groups. Ethical issues are included, as well as a discussion of the advantages and limitations of each method. "War stories" are provided by experienced researchers, who discuss a particular research project and explain pitfalls to avoid, as well as what to do when problems occur. The primary audiences are scholars, researchers, and students conducting research on motion pictures, video, television, photographs, illustrations, graphics, typography, political cartoons, comic books, animation, and other media with a visual component. Individuals will use this text whenever they need to conduct research that involves visuals in the media. The book will be a required text for advanced courses in visual culture, seminars on visual communication research, and other research methods courses integrating a visual component.  

Based on the cultural self-confidence of the packaging design curriculum ideological and political teaching reform research, by embedding cultural projects into the packaging design curriculum, with cultural creative packaging design as the core curriculum content, the packaging design curriculum ideological and political teaching reform practice research is carried out, the purpose is to let the visual Communication design students can not only acquire due professional knowledge in packaging design class, but also cultivate students' love for Chinese traditional culture, enhance cultural self-confidence, and promote the development of Chinese cultural packaging design industry. This course runs through cultural projects, and is divided into three parts: "Packaging Design Research and Positioning", "Packaging Structure Design", and "Packaging Visual Design", which mainly incorporates "Chinese Traditional Packaging", "Chinese Traditional Characters", and "Packaging Design". Ideological and political content of courses such as "Chinese Traditional Pattern" and "Modern Design of Traditional Brand Packaging". At the same time, innovative teaching ideas and teaching methods have been incorporated in the course of curriculum ideological and political reform practice.

Although abundant studies have shown how visualization can help software developers to understand software systems, visualization is still not a common practice since developers (i) have little support to find a proper visualization for their needs, and once they find a suitable visualization tool, they (ii) are unsure of its effectiveness. We aim to offer support for identifying proper visualizations, and to increase the effectiveness of visualization techniques. In this dissertation, we characterize proposed software visualizations. To fill the gap between proposed visualizations and their practical application, we encapsulate such characteristics in an ontology, and propose a meta-visualization approach to find suitable visualizations. Amongst others characteristics of software visualizations, we identify that the medium used to display them can be a means to increase the effectiveness of visualization techniques for particular comprehension tasks.We implement visualization prototypes and validate our thesis via experiments. We found that even though developers using a physical 3D model medium required the least time to deal with tasks that involve identifying outliers, they perceived the least difficulty when visualizing systems based on the standard computer screen medium. Moreover, developers using immersive virtual reality obtained the highest recollection. We conclude that the effectiveness of software visualizations that use the city metaphor to support comprehension tasks can be increased when city visualizations are rendered in an appropriate medium. Furthermore, that visualization of software visualizations can be a suitable means for exploring their multiple characteristics that can be properly encapsulated in an ontology.

The aim of the present research was to investigate the influence of packaging design on consumers' perception of quality of fresh carrots. We adopted a conjoint analytic approach in which 251 Danish consumers rated the perceived quality and value (expected price) of nine packaging images, obtained by systematically varying packaging type (plastic bag, plastic box, cardboard paper) and label color (blue, brown, grey). The results revealed that the main attribute influencing the perceptions of the consumer was packaging type. Specifically, the box packages (both plastic and cardboard) were associated to carrots of significantly higher perceived value and quality compared to the plastic bag packages. Furthermore, the study identified the most important aspects consumers attend to when purchasing carrots. A transparent packaging, allowing consumers to inspect the produce, was mentioned as the most important aspect. Being organic and local were identified as the second and third most important, respectively.Practical applicationsPackaging is an important extrinsic product attribute that can influence consumer perceptions of fresh produce. The results have implications for retailers and producers with respect to the choice of packaging and label design. Specifically, consumers associated box packages to higher quality produce, suggesting that carrots in this type of package may command higher price and/or be preferred to bagged alternatives at a similar price point. The study further indicated the importance of using a transparent packaging that clearly allow consumers to inspect the produce, and also suggest that “organic” and “local” are important drivers of purchase for this product category.

Interventions for the primary prevention of work-related carpal tunnel syndrome

Objective To observe the level of transforming growth factor-β1 ( TGF-31 ) in lung tissue of mice with acute lung injury induced by bleomycin. Methods Sixty Kunming male mice were randomly (random number) divided into sham operation group, model group, curcumin high dose group,medium dose group and low dose group (n =12 in each group). The models of acute lung injury were made by intratracheal instillation of bleomycin for once in the mice of model group and curcumin treated groups,and equal volume of saline was used in mice of sham operation group instead of bleomycin. Curcumin was given in doses of 200 mg· kg-1 · d-1 , 100 mg· kg-1 · d-1and 50 mg · kg-1 · d-1 to the mice of high dose group, medium dose group and low dose group, respectively 24 hours after modeling until the day before sacrifice, and the mice of sham operation group and model group were fed with equal volume of saline instead. Six mice of each group were sacrificed on the 3rd and 7th day separately for detecting lung wet to dry ratio (W/D), pathological changes of lung tissue stained with HE, and level of the transforming growth factor-β1 in the lung tissues stained with immunohistochemistry in mice of each group. Data were analyzed to express as mean ± standard deviation. -PSS11.5 statistical package was used for analysis. The comparison of the mean diversity carried out by using single factor analysis of variance. Results Morphological changes in lung tissue observed under light microscope showed that obvious morphological abnormalities,alveolar edema fluid and inflammatory cells were not found in mice of sham operation group, and lung capillaries dilated, widened alveolar septum, edema fluid and inflammatory cells infiltration in the alveolar in lung tissue were seen in mice of model group, and different degrees of pathological changes were found in mice of three curcumin treated groups, but those changes were less severe than those in mice of model group. Lung wet to dry ratio (W/D) was significantly higher in mice of model group than that in mice of sham group ( P ＜ 0. 01 ), but that in mice of three curcumin treated groups was significantly lower than that in mice of model group ( P ＜ 0. 01 ). Immunohistochemistry showed low level of TGF-β1 in lung tissue of mice in sham operation group, and the level of TGF-β1 in lung tissue of mice in model group was significantly higher than that in sham operation group ( P ＜ 0. 01 ). The level of TGF-β1 in lung tissue of mice in three curcumin treated groups was significantly lower than that in mice of model group ( P ＜ 0. 01 ),but that was still higher than that in sham group ( P ＜ 0. 01 ). Conclusions Curcumin can inhibit the TGF-β1 in lung tissue and play a protective effect on acute lung injury induced by bleomycin, reducing the degree of lung injury. The protective mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of TGF-β1 in lung tissue. Key words: Acute lung injury; Curcumin; Transforming growth factor-β1

This study analyzes the design of packaging for both food products produced by KUB Sukarasa Tourism Village Organic Sukorejo Sragen. This is important because the packaging is one of the marketing tools. Food products in KUB Sukarasa in District Sambirejo Sragen sold in transparent plastic packaging and without label. This makes the level of sales is not maximized. This research has three objectives: first, create a packaging design that has the right size so easily carried by consumers and attractive for sale by the merchant. The second objective, informative designing packaging labels, such as product name, manufacturer's address, net weight, expiration date, product composition, and information about kosher. The research method used was experimental. The end result of this research is a product packaging design good food and interesting. This packaging design can be used by UMKM to develop their product marketing strategies in order to increase sales.

This paper delves into the core role of visual design in the communication of public health information and the challenges it faces. As a crucial means of information dissemination, visual design can significantly enhance the attractiveness, comprehensibility, and action orientation of public health information through elements such as color, graphics, layout, and typography. However, in practice, visual design also faces challenges such as audience diversity, information accuracy, and integration with the communication environment. To address these challenges, strategies such as customized design based on audience characteristics, strengthening the synergy between visual design and health information, and utilizing new technologies to optimize visual design effects are proposed. The implementation of these strategies can better leverage the role of visual design in public health information communication, thereby enhancing public health awareness and behavior.
